Hayley Erin Returns to The Young and the Restless in Brand New Role
Hayley Erin last seen on the soaps as Kiki Jerome on General Hospital, and who previously played Abby Newman on The Young and the Restless, is returning to the CBS daytime drama series, but in a brand new role!
The Daytime Emmy-winning actress is set to take on the role of Claire Grace. According to Soap Opera Digest, “Look for Claire to join the ranks of Newman Media later this fall.”
Since departing daytime, Erin had been a series regular on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, as had lead and supporting roles in independent feature films.
The actress was on GH from 2015-2019 and during that time, Erin won a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series category back in 2019.
Hayley played Genoa City’s Abby from 2008-2010. The role of Abby is currently played by Melissa Ordway.

She played teenager Abby from December 2008 to April 2010, so, it was not even one year and a half. Melissa Ordway is perfectly fine as Abby. Hayley Erin will be working at Newman Media, so, Nikki Newman will be her boss.

He’s one of the worst on the show. He has zero pizazz and is mechanical in the delivery of all his lines. Who wouldn’t be bubbly & flirty with sexy Melissa Ordway? Only him. He’d not be missed if he were fired from that show.
And not they are trying to pair him with Sharon. REALLY.. no way. I dont care for her but she would chew him up and spit him out. Come on now. Then I though they were going to put him with Summer ( she is another boring one ) pouty all the time little rich girl. To have her fight Sharon over him would be kind of fun though
I think that is who she is speaking of Chance has no personality. He never smiles he looks like he always mirrsiable. Put her with Kyle Newman. Let her , Summer and the other nobody black haired girl fight over him since he thinks his POOP dont stink.
Definitely Devon. Not Chance. Chance has come along way since he started partly because in the beginning he was stuck with Abby the drag. Since he’s been paired with Sharon he’s been shining. Love him and Sharon

I agree with you. I personally think Bryson is one of the best actors on the show or soaps period. As a black male myself I think he comes across as genuine in his delivery and actions.. His character talks, acts and reacts exactly as I do.
Stephen, I guess we are of the few who like this actor. I think he’s very believable in his part no matter who he’s acting with. He’s handsome and talented and not full of himself, playing a young, single multi-millionare. He grew up from a young boy into this role and he’s not only grown in age but emotionally.

Agreed! Both Devon, Bryton and Abby, Melissa are horrible. With everything on tv why would I watch a scene of them together?! It’s like sleepy and zombie living in the Chancellor mansion. What a sad representation of the legendary home that Katherine Chancellor, Phillip, Jill,Rex and Nina once lived in. Such excitement!!! 20 years later we get Devon and Abby in the same living room?! Pity. At least keep them at the gcac or Crimson lights where I can change the channel once they come on! Travesty they still are on the show.
I think Devon and Abby are good together. They represent, what parenthood is all about. So why is there a problem with the two? After all it’s grandmother’s house. Love it!

WOW! Shame on GH for not getting Erin Hayley in a new role. If she were older, I could see her as Lulu (Recast). I don’t watch Y&R… but wish she was back at General Hospital. Love Erin.

Hayley grew into a fine actress during her time on GH. If she were to come back, she would totally fit in as Serena Baldwin.
Without Scotty on the scene… I think the return of Serena would not be worth it.

Well that would be interesting having both of the “musical chair Abigails” from DOOL on GH at the same time. But I don’t see that happening. Especially since she wouldn’t commit to Days because she wanted to keep having kids. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself but it makes it hard to write a storyline.

Nah. Lily Anne Harrison, who presently plays Andrea Gates, would have been the perfect Serena Baldwin in the same story Andrea is getting.

I remember her as Abby so idk this might be odd but just maybe her & Adam will be the next couple.
She was one of my favorites on GH & an outstanding actress. I was very disappointed when they killed off her character eliminating any future return. (And it seemed too cruel a step for Ava to endure.)
I’m delighted that I’ll get to see her on Y&R. Maybe she’ll have chemistry with Noah? Or maybe Chance, although I’d like to see him with Summer. He does not work with Sharon at all. Billy should be back with Lily as their new pairings fell flat & they were so believable together.

I adore Erin, and yes to her being paired up with Chance since he seems to be floating around GC with no actual purpose these days. He doesn’t even live in the Chancellor mansion.
And yes, the Sharon pairing was actually rather hot, but only for a moment of getting under the sheets with no feasible future.
And I agree that Billy and Lily should reunite. Their chat in the coffee house was quite genuine. But there is the fact that Billy keeps getting paired with women who are pregnant in real life. Christel is pregnant and will shortly be going on maternity leave, while Melissa Claire is currently on maternity leave.
Camryn Grimes is also preggers (no Billy connection) but lots of babies happening with the cast of Y and R. I hope they have nice accommodations for lactating new moms and options for the cast to bring their little ones to set with them once they return to work.

I am so excited to see her back on daytime… Glad Melissa is staying as Abby… She would be great for Chance… Can’t wait for her to join. I hated when they killed her off on GH!
I liked her time as Abby… a bit green, but still decent. She grew a lot as Kiki on General Hospital, so I have a feeling this will be good. However, The Young and the Restless is an absolute mess.

Looks nothing like the Ki Ki I remember from GH and as Abby, was she the ” naked heiress” because I don’t remember anyone that looked like her on Y&R.
I can’t understand anything Claire says! S h e us a terrible speaker. Why have they hired her? She talks too fast and doesn’t pronounce her words. It’s like she can’t move her mouth and use her tongue. I miss her part of the conversation every time. Get rid of her and hire someone who can speak clearly!

‘Guiding Light’s’ Grant Aleksander Shares Heartfelt Remembrance of TV Daughter, Hayden Panettiere On What Would Have Been Her 37th Birthday
The tragic death of Hayden Panettiere last Sunday on August 21 continues to rock the entertainment world as her passing is still under investigation. Sadly, the former Guiding Light and Nashville star, died just days before her 37th birthday.
Now Grant Aleksander who played her on-screen father, Phillip Spaulding on Guiding Light a role he played on and off for nearly 30 years, shared a touching tribute with The Locher Room via Instagram, to his former TV daughter on her birthday on Friday, August 21.
It was back in 1996-2000 that Panettiere played the role of Phillip and Beth’s (Beth Chamberlin) daughter, Lizzie Spaulding. When Hayden was on-screen her performances were outstanding even as a little girl.

Aleksander began, When I think of Hayden the first image that comes is of her running down the hall in the studio with a huge, toothy grin on her face. Literally bursting with joy. And that’s what she gave to us. Pure, infectious joy. That and a talent that belied her years.”
“She was a natural with an instinctive understanding of acting that most adult actors can only dream of possessing. But that’s not what I’ll remember most about her. It’s that sunshine she brought to all of us that were lucky enough to be in her orbit that will stay with me, expressed Grant.
He concluded with, “I’ll always cherish the years I got to be her tv Dad. I wish I could have seen her one more time just to tell her how proud I was of her. She’s left us way too soon. We can only hope that she’s finally found the peace that eluded her in her short life. Rest in peace Princess!”

Sydney Malekeh Joins the Cast of ‘Days of Our Lives’ in Mystery Role: Who Do You Think She’s Playing?
There’s a new gal coming to Salem, or is she new and a recast? That’s what inquiring minds from Days of Our Lives fans have been trying to figure out since the Peacock soap opera dropped an Instagram video heralding actress‘ Sydney Malekeh’s arrival in Salem.
The soap did confirm that viewers will first see Malekeh on the September 9 episode. In the video, Malekeh is seen going set to set from her dressing room and in to the halls of Days of Our Lives studios.
What we do know id that Sydney has been acting professionally for 6 years and had appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, Apple TV’s Shrinking and the HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Plenty of Malekeh’s DAYS castmates jumped into the comment thread with positive emojis symbols or written excitement including: Paul Telfer (Xander), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Sal Stowers (Lani), Conner Floyd (Chad), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Christie Clark (Carrie) and more now that fans will finally see her on-air. Since Days of Our Lives tapes 10-11 months in advance, Sydney would have started taping the show sometime back in 2025.
DAYS fans think perhaps because the actress’ name is Sydney that she might be playing the grown-up daughter of Sami and EJ. That character hasn’t bee on the canvas since 2021.

UPDATED: ‘Bachelor Nation’ favorite Tyler Cameron is one of two new additions to the cast of Dancing with the Stars upcoming season 35. Cameron will hit the ballroom dance floor and so too will dancer/actress Jenna Dewan.
Cameron is best known as the runner-up in Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, the winner of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and starred in his own Amazon Prime home renovation series, Going Home with Tyler Cameron.
Tyler’s casting comes five years after his best friend and former ‘Bachelor’ lead Matt James competed for the Mirror Ball Trophy with pro Lindsay Arnold on season 30. US broke the casting news.

FULL DANCING WITH THE STARS SEASON 35 CAST REVEAL ON GMA
Dewan is best known for starring as Nora Clark in the 2006 dance film Step Up and for her television roles in Supergirl!, The Rookie, and The Witches of Eastwick to name but a few. Jenna began her career as a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson, Pink, Missy Elliott, and Christina Aguilera before moving into acting.
The full cast of Dancing with the Stars is set to be revealed including pros and celebrity contestants on the September 2 episode of Good Morning America. However, already confirmed are: “Summer House” star Ciara Miller, “Love Island UK” alum Maura Higgins, ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ sidekick and comedian Guillermo Rodriguez and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson.
Thursday evening August 20, TMZ is now reporting that actresses Julia Stiles and Tatyana Ali have also joined the cast. Ali is remembered in the recurring role of Roxanne on The Young and the Restless from 2007 to 2013.
Last season’s Mirror Ball Trophy went to Robert Irwin, the wildlife conservationist and son of the iconic Steve Irwin, and his pro partner Witney Carson. Dancing with the Stars hopes to repeat the success of season 24 which had stellar ratings in 2025.
Dancing With the Stars season 35 kicks off with a back-to-back premiered on ABC and Disney+ starting Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
