Monday May 13th will turn out to be a very intriguing day for fans of General Hospital when Kristen Alderson, Roger Howarth and Michael Easton return to the ABC soap in newly created roles.

According to GH head writer Ron Carlivati, who tweeted  “Three big stars return to General Hospital on Monday! Brace yourselves, #GH fans, you’re in for a wild ride! #GH50

Then according to Access Hollywood all that they would tease said, “Details of their return — and their new roles — are being kept very hush-hush by producers.”

So soap fans, do you think this will play out for you? Will you embrace Kristen, Michael and Roger in new roles, when you loved them for years as Starr, John and Todd?  Do you wish they would have been able to continue playing their original roles?  Who do you think they will play in story on GH now and how will it all make sense? Weigh-in!

This is exciting.. they are actors so whatever role they play it will be good..
I like change it keeps things new, fresh and interesting, so I am looking forward to the new characters..

C’mon did you really expect the 3 be Todd, Starr and McBain for the rest of their lives?
They must be really excited and challenged to break our of the mold and be different and grow and explore new trails….
This will be very interesting, indeed it will..
I’m sure they will give us their best..

I agree!

I am excited too. Can’t wait to watch it live today. Love love Roger Howarth.

Yes it will be great seeing them in new roles but it seems like we’ll never find out what happened to their other characters!

Agree wholeheartedly su0000,

I agree too!!! I think I will like them whoever they played!

agreed!!!

Ron and Frank haven’t disappointed yet so I’m looking forward to it!

I agree 100%

Come again?

I agree too!!

I have been loving Frank and Ron‘s work but they have showed shocking disregard for two of the show‘s premiere supercouples. After months of being told we would get a Brenda/Jax happy ending, instead all we got was Brenda once again being sacrificed on the altar of Sonny and Jax made to look like a fool again. Then the other day, they seemingly wrapped up 35 years of the greatest love story ever oltd on soaps…Luke and Laura, in a few disjointed scenes. First of all, the scenes nonsensically took place in Milo‘s apartment, a place with no historical value for GH fans. Then, L and L compared their love story to an old ratty sweatshirt…saying that they just “don‘t fit“ anymore…and just like that, Luke was off on a weird adventure to help Tracy. If that is the way Frank and Ron are going to wreck this show‘s glorious past, then I am not looking forward to the future at all!!

I do love their writing, but they need to show some respect for history and some HEART. Fun, excitement is all good, but we need HEART that is what the show is lacking. I have agree with everything and include Frisco. How can they bring back such a legacy character and then TRASH him so? I forgive a lot of things in soaps, but character assassination is not one of them. Bring back Frisco and FIX it especially with Maxie.

Be grateful that FV and RC brought back some of all time favorites vets, if only for a week ar two..
They were not to be written into long stories that connected to all the history and give happy ever afters, they were brought back to give us a smile and ”good to see you, again” then exit..
I think FV and RC gave many fans a good feeling ans big smiles by giving us what they could (pay for) and getting the vets to agree to the time and agreements to come back just for a ” hi..

Frisco was a bad husband and father and should not be glamourized. I think they actually gave him the benefit ot doubt, and he failed yet again.I think the writers actually handled his return well. The character didn’t deserve any more than he got.

Well as far as Brenda goes I think she is her own worst enemy. How do you blame your break up with Jax on Carly when all she did is tell him the truth. You went to Sonny to see if you could work something out. Who does that if they are in love with the man they are about to be married to? Now as far as Luke and Laura, I agree! These writers obviously have no idea the history an forever true love these two have and the fans have with them. To think that either of them would believe they “don’t fit” anymore is ridiculous and I truly hope that they don’t try to make the fans watch a wedding between Laura and Scotty because I have a feeling as much as Luke and Laura’s Wedding was the most watched show ever, I have this feeling that a lot of people will be opting out that day and their wedding will be the least watched show. Do not insult the true fans who know that Luke and Laura are soul mates! That being said I have to say again I feel we are being insulted with the fact they are bringing Kristen, Michael and Roger back as different characters. If it was a year or so later that would be one thing but one day they are there and the next they are someone else. ABC knew they were on loan and should have not even offered them jobs. Let them go back to Lanview where they belong and quit treating us longtime fans like we are to stupid to notice these things!

I don’t think we have seen the last of Luke and Laura together. If you immediately put them back together there is no story to tell.

Soaps have always been known to do this to couples then eventually put them back together. I figure since Anthony Geary who plays Luke will leave for his annual summer break that is in his contract soon, that is one of the reasons they held off on putting them back together at this point.

As for Brenda, she belongs with Sonny not with Jax. Since she wasn’t staying on permanently as per her choice it only made sense what she did. The actress who plays her has said numerous times that she would be back again though.

I am going to hold off judgement on the new characters that Easton, Howarth, and Alderosn play until i see it. Frank and Ron have done a great job even under the worst circumstances. So I have faith that these returns will be quite interesting.

Im really looking forward to their return.. If they cant be who they WERE on GH, As long as they are brand new Characters Im great with it.. But As much as I love ME, I dont want him showing up as a newly recast Jason.. Ya Know !!!! Id rather he be some twin who wasa PI looking for his insane brother or something.. But I Like ME as some kind of Cop or Govt Agent or P.I.

KA . Ehhhhh Never really cared this way or that. I Hope Roger comes back in a great way , I love him with Carly, Atleast I did when he was Todd.. So I guess We will have to wait and see.

I agree with you, thought I could care less if they are back on the show, they added nothing for me. The Vampire story was fun and a big campy, I thought ME played a much better vamp then boring McBain (althought he was better on OLTL)

Todd is just a trouble maker and he had some good oneliners, but the whole baby switching was unnessasary.

KA had a nothing storyline, she had not been good since she was about 10 years old.

We have alot of new characters on GH now, the more they have they seems to spend less time on all of them…sad. But maybe if these three really can prove themselves and be different then who knows maybe the show will benefit from it.

I suspect the former Starr will now be the Quartermaine heir. They wouldn’t recast either of the guys as Jason, or could they? Thinkin of Sam’s foreshadowing at the church.

I agree they will try to make Kristen the new Quartermaine heir, poor Michael. And I am sorry but Michael/John is no Jason, but Roger/Todd on the other hand….hmmmmm

Wished Michael and Roger had returned to Llanview permanently. No one does it better than John McBain and Todd Manning. Missing them so much. Going to hate to say goodbye to Todd yet again. JOLIE forever. Like Luke and Laura, John and Natalie are the best.

Roger will still be Todd on OLTL

No he won’t!

I have watched Roger Howarth since he started OLTL in the early ’90’s. I have followed him to Prey, ATWT, GH, all his OLTL returns and GH. I think he is at his best when he is playing Todd Manning. But as a fan of his, I will watch no matter who he plays. He is a great actor and will bring his own spin to whatever role he is playing. Can’t wait to see them all together again.

I hope that PP wins their lawsuit. These actors were on “loan” to GH until PP got their shows online. Well, they’re online and NOW GH wants to act this way?? Shame on them!

The actors were not on loan, only the characters. They are not one and the same, with the actors obligated to play them and only then the rest of their lives. Neither Howarth not Alderson had signed on with the original attempt of OLTL to move online.

the “characters” were loaned, not the actors. Someone needs to know the difference.

Verona and Tarlyfan are WRONG there were provisions about the Actors playing them characters and that was IN the contract between ABC and PP…..So yea it was NOT just the characters it was the actors too! Read the Lawsuit!

I believe that our Starr……is Lauren Banks!!

I heard Todd is playing “Alexander Quartermain.” I never heard of him….but I HAVE heard of Alexandra Quartermaine….she was part of the ice princess story. Oh God, tell me it isn’t so!!!!!!!!

McBain is supposed to be Steven Clay’s brother, Mark. The name is lame….and so is the storyline.

The soaps onloine ar not what I thought thrt would be. I have already stopped watching AMC, because of the unnecessary curse words. OLTL isn’t much better and thety are almost always in that “Shelter.” Not loving it.

And suppose Todd is the “real” Jason 🙂

I agree with you Sandy about AMC and OLTL. I don’t think a night club that sells drugs and whatever else is the right way to draw in a younger viewing audience. I haven’t stopped watching them yet, but am close!

Who is Lauren Banks? How do you know that Roger will be playing Alexander Quartermaine? Who is he?

There is no Alexander Q, heard there was a name mixup, suppose to be Cassadine. But I guess we need to wait until tomorrow

I love the characters they played on OLTL and the carry-over to General Hospital. I worry that no matter what stories are wrote for them it will just not work. I will always see them as Starr, John and Todd and that’s whom they should remain. I will watch to see how it plays out but I am not optimistic about the return as different characters. Sarah Brown was the only one so far that has been cast as two different characters on GH and it actually worked. If you remember, they tried to do the same with Natalia Livingston as Emily and Rebecca and it just didn’t work.

AMEN!!!

As long as they are back, I don’t care who they play
Frank &Ron must be some awesome bosses for these 3 actors to want to be on GH so eagerly.

I hate when you wait with anticipation all through the show and they probably won’t show up until the very end of the show for like 5 seconds.

precisely I think that will happen today. We’re just going to see their face but no dialogue at the end of the day. It was supposed to be a Friday cliff hanger but due to pre-empt, now it is shown on Monday. Can’t wait even if just the last 5 seconds.

To bad most of us won’t be watching Monday due to GH promoting the Chew.

That is really sad as you must not really be a fan, this is the time they need support during sweeps

Right on Bonnie! I am watching, promoting The Chew? I thought it was on on Friday, at least that is what I remember watching. Nik and Liz in the waiting area and AJ walks in, he was already on the show. But yes agree Bonnie, true fans don’t let down the show

that is just crazy talk .. real GH fans will watch, i dont care if they cross promoted dog sh*$ on monday im not missing this return .. some ppl need to get their lives in order all that boycotting stuff is so 1980 abc didnt kill the other soaps ..abc/disney had plans to move the shows to on line cause it helps them make more money when they are on line caus they own 33 % of hulu with fox and nbc it a known fact

then get ready for Prospect Park’s General Hospital.

nbc fox and abc-disney jointly own it, you are correct. That is what I do not get. If ABC canceled our soaps, then I wonder how much of PP they have a venture in?

Let’s see how you feel when they cancel GH after this last renewal period. See if you watch their replacement. Still boycotting ABC and I’m sorry to inform you alot of us still are.

Gh will moved to Hulu also as well as any soaps NBC still has cause they make money off of soap fans when we watch Hulu it was all a plan for the past 2 years

That’s just crazy.

Wow people need to get over this. The Chew has been on the air for almost two years now. If you are not going to support a soap because of ABC using it to promote one of its other shows you are just dumb.

GH is not going to Hulu that is a rumor that no one has given any truth to just peoples predctions. The same people who said GH would already be cancelled

You’re incorrect about the “rumor” that PP will not tak over GH if ABC cancels it. There was a article on this very site which states it.

I’m not sure if you’re the same “David’ who called ppl dumb if they don’t agree w/the cross promotions of “The CHew” and “GH”. But it’s also not very kind and definitely not classy:(

http://e98.637.mwp.accessdomain.com/news/n-y-times-report-prospect-park-own-the-rights-to-general-hospital-if-abc-cancels-it/2013/04/28/

THAT WASN’T TODD ROGER WAS PLAAYING ON GH ANYWAY,

What the heck are you talking about it wasn’t Todd, he was playing Todd. Now he won’t be

I think she meant that the way they wrote Todd on GH wasn’t the same as he was on OLTL…he didn’t feel/seem the same. But then again now that he’s online with OLTL he’s more of the GH Todd than the original OLTL Todd. I don’t think we’re ever going to see him depicted as he was back in the day….with his long hair and his tortured soul and angst…his connection to Vicki, Blair, etc….his cold, apathetic ways…always somehow redeemed by his the women who loved him…etc.

Or, Meg didn’t mean that! LOL…

I am ecstatic!!! I can’t wait and I am loving GH everyday!!! Thank you Ron… for me your are not disappointing!!! GH is must see for me and is leaps above the others!!!

I am excited to see them in new characters and will welcome them and will enjoy learning about some new characters on the canvas or some old…

amen to that !!

I have no doubt that Roger and Michael will be able to play new characters with no problem, but the jury is still out on Kristen. She did a great job playing Starr, but that has been her only on screen acting role to date,so it will be interesting to see how she does.

agree. but, on the other hand, I’ve been more emotionally invested in the characters Todd and McBain…so it might be easier for me to accept Kristen as someone else rather than see Roger and Michael as other characters.

but on the other hand, I totally believed Michael as Caleb even when he was on the show with himself as McBain…so they might just pull it off.

I will be on missing the as Starr,Todd and John, but I am still happy/excited to see them back. I think Kristen will be Lauren Frank; Roger will be Jason (back from the dead lol), and Michael will either be Rafe or they will have him back as Caleb. Either way they are back and that is all that counts!!

No way will the fans accept Roger as Jason. He is going to be a Quartermaine

Um, Jason IS a Quartermaine.

What the hell are you ppl talking about? ME is playing Mark, Calebs brother. KA is probably playing the Q girl, as far as RH, he was suppose to play a character called Alexander, I believe he is a Cassadine. They had recently said Quartermaine, but I do not remember an Alexander Q, only a Cassadine

agree. but, on the other hand, I’ve been more emotionally invested in the characters Todd and McBain…so it might be easier for me to accept Kristen as someone else rather than see Roger and Michael as other characters.

but on the other hand, I totally believed Michael as Caleb even when he was on the show with himself as McBain…so they might just pull it off.

The writing skills of Ron and Frank have lit a rocket under General Hospital and it has been soaring since they took over; I am possitive the new will blow us away. Kudos fellas!~ Keep up the good work!!

Glad to see them back but am not happy about this damn Chew crap.don’t like nor want to see it on my soap.Very mad it and Katie has been cramed down our thoarts.ABC nedds to leave us soap fans alone that doesn’t want nothing to do with those shows. Its only a reminder we lost OLTL and AMC to these zillion talk and cooking shows.

I think that they should be the same characters they started with the original characters of Todd and John McBain and Starr Manning I think they’re wrong for changing the characters I like them is original ones

Yep, Frank & Ron just keep bringing it!

the response that I am seeing here makes this my favorite site to post. I have visited other sites and you would be amazed of the complaints about there new characters and they have not aired yet. I am also shocked by the complaints about Michael and Roger’s new hairstyles. I look forward to there new characters because I have no doubt a great deal of research and focus has gone in to making them stand out. I have never looked forward to a Monday in my life, lol.

I’m glad they are back, 3 of my favorite actors & I don’t care who they play. I ‘m happy they are not on One Life To Live anymore.

“And for ABC/Disney to have the balls, the balls to now be using GH, and its characters to bring in viewers to The Chew!!!! I mean the balls, I can’t use any other more polite language, the nerve, chutzpah, gaul, balls of it all. UNBELIEVABLE”

– Brian Lavalle

Totally agree! ABC took of AMC and OLTL and replaced them with The SPew and Revulsion ( misspelling intentional). Now to promote that show blatantly on GH took alot of gaul!!!

Get over it, both shows are on ABC, they of course are going to use the shows to promote each other.

You people are so pathetic, you want soaps to survive but won’t watch it becuase they are promoting a show that you didn’t like.

Whether you want to admit it or not , The Chew has survived almost 2 years on the air. It’s ratings have been close enough to All My Childrens at a far cheaper cost. Any business is going to choose to do what is best when it comes to money.

It sucks that the other soaps were cancelled but they have a new home online. GH is doing well on ABC and the folks at ABC are sticking behind it.

Some people will just never be happy

Timing the return of beloved #OLTL/GH-ers with #TheChew Pimp-tac-ular is tantamount to emotional blackmail. Way to treat the faithful, #GH!

Good grief get over it..
The CHEW did not cancel the soaps..
it is a TV show nothing more or less and why anyone would allow an TV to keep them from watching another TV is asinine ..
If you are a true GH fan you will support GH through the good and the bad..

EXACTLY SU2000 The Chew was not at fault and neither was GH, to punish either is wrong.

People need to move on. IF they start not choosing to watch GH, then they have no right to complain if it were to get cancelled.

Not watching is why shows got cancelled.

I’m not not looking forward to this at all! I started watching GH again because of these characters, if its not fabulous writing I’m not interested in viewing any longer.

FACTS: This is what the mere mention of THE SPEW does for you, ABC/Disney…

Like a Cancer on the Ratings

Powerfully witness the downward slippery slope of the notorious Tip Skimmer…

#GH through Fri. May 3 (first mention of the chew…numbers way down)
#GH
Monday: 2.0/2,599,000
Tuesday: 1.8/2,499,000
Wednesday: 1.9/2,501,000
Thursday: 1.8/2,406,000
Friday: 1.7/2,249,000

I don’t care if you put the 10 best soap characters who ever lived.

How do you plug talk shows that are doing away with and replacing the soap genre. In this case THE BIG pic trumps whatever fav character. If u have no show to showcase’em in.

0 faith in abc and cartini. Your mantra should be screw the chew!!!!???? Judging by the numbers the fans get it!!!!

Btw–lov’n One life to live and AMC. PP is backing soaps and listening to fans. With that said IF they wanted to plug the spew or bring on the revolution, i’d be done too!!!!!

wow, hate the story line crossing into that garbage

I hope ABC does monthly crossovers with The Chew and GH. GH gets mentioned on The Chew.

Plus it will piss off all you people who need to get over it. If you stop supporting GH, then don’t complain when it gets cancelled. At that point it won’t be ABC’s fault it will be your faults for not tuning in.

Exactly. Thank you, Brian Frons. It may then have a better life in Stamford, CT…w/o The Spew and ABC/D’s notorious toxicity. )))

i’ve been waiting, and i hope they are on from the start of the episode instead of till the end, i hate when a show announces a return on a certain date and the date ends up being at the end of the episode. so hopefully it will be fun.

Definitely excited about new storylines and characters for all three of these excellent actors. I’m sure Ron has come up with something amazing!! Can’t wait to see!!

Can we embrace them as anyone but Todd, Starr and Michael you ask – and use a picture of Roger Howarth from when he played Paul on ATWT?

Of course, I can. The only one of these three that I have not seen in other roles is Kristen Aldersen. Though it will be a bit different seeing them in different roles on the same soap so soon after departing as their original characters.

Well, I’m excited. I’ve seen some poor storylines over my 3 soaps over the past 10 years and I’ve stuck with them no matter what. I’m just happy to see them back SOMEWHERE because they are all very good actors. I’ve been watching Roger since he had long hair, Michael since he was Caleb and little Kristen since she was 9 or so. I will embrace their new characters bc for one, they weren’t on for THAT long on GH in the grand scheme of things. I’m gonna miss Todds comedy though. He has GREAT one liners

I did want them back as the original characters, but have been liking the writing as of lately and the direction the stories are going so very much looking forward to seeing them as new characters… I can’t remember when a soap has had me excited about watching it day after day.. GH has been very good this last year, since I had left started watching it after OLTL was canceled

I completely trust Ron and Frank and what is going to happen???

As long as Roger & Laura Wright get to play off one another then I’ll be happy & the same goes for Michael Easton & Kelly.

I would have preferred to the character of John to have returned to OLTL. I actually liked Todd better on GH> They made the character more likable and funny. And I don’t know why- but he was more good looking there too. Different camera angles? I liked Starr with Michael- GH did a poor, poor job writing off the characters. I hope their new roles will be believable and that ME is not Clay or a vampire. If he’s one of those, I’ll be fast forwarding his scenes. Sorry Michael. I do not watch vampires. I wish them all the luck in the world. As for OLTL, if the actors aren’t under contract there, then for sure Todd and Starr will have to be recast and John as well. I think saying John left Nat for another woman was a bad move on OLTL’s part. But the things said on GH about why Starr left were worse. I wish these three actors all the best. I hope RH will be on OLTL as Todd and GH as whoever. I saw a photo of Kristen and hope she will look lik e that on GH

I rather see them back on OLTL.

YES!

I agree!!

This is better be good wildest ride when sonny meet up agaiinst whoever played mobsters.

I think RH’s Todd is needed in Llanview. I hope he continues to do both shows! OLTL is sooo good right now, I’d hate to have his character with so much history die or be presumed dead…. again. Another tie in or visit from Todd Manning to Port Charles is probably not going to happen again, but it would be nice if it did.

I think he should also stay on OLTL. As far as the show being good, it is ok.

I am beyond upset that ABC would not compromise with Prospect Park and that our beloved One Life To Live character/actors are no more. I liked them as their Llanview characters on GH. They were the only reason I started watching GH again. Between them changing them to new characters and having the chew crew on I will not be tuning in.

Prospect Park had just as much issue on it. They refused to work with ABC as much as ABC refused to work with them.

If Prospect Park hadn’t been so dumb in their handling of this they could have had the characters on both shows. But Prospect Park wanted say in what the characters do on GH.

Can you imagine PP’s reaction if ABC had said they want input on how the characters are used on their shows.

They are their characters, cannot very well have them on OLTL say for ex. John and Nat back together living life and have him as John on GH getting it on with Sam, not with fans watching both shows so that totally makes sense! This should not be an issue anyway, PP only loaned these characters to GH while working on getting them going. RH and ME were signed w/PP to start with but they allowed them to go in the mean time. ABC should have never signed them to long term contracts as these characters. It was so wrong even Disney went to bat for Prospect Park!!

I can’t wait….I trust Ron and he won’t let us down. I would watch Michael play any character.

I really enjoyed the original roles but I think between the talent of these three and Ron that whatever is coming will be just as good. I’m excited to see how they do this. Ron has been so amazing with his story lately that I’m sure it will be captivating.

Seriously in what universe are these three big stars. I guess in Ron and frank’s head.

A change in hairstyle isn’t going to make fans not see them as the three livers. Soap fans aren’t as stupid as they think. Only diehard fans of the actors will but this nonsense.

What waste of money and airtime.

This will be fun. I think KA will be Lauren. Have no idea what they do will RH, but I love the actor so I’m looking forward to it. As for ME, I hope they have him play someone more upbeat, he’s been moody way to long.

I am xcited to watch this new adventure with them….Love all 3 Michael, Kristen,Roger, this will be very interesting….Can’t wait till Monday.

I agree with su0000, these three actors have already convinced us they were “Starr”, “Todd” and “John” now let’s see who they will introduce us to and convince us they are. Looking forward to the summer with General Hospital 🙂

I am anticipating the return. It has been a long dry spell without them. There are such wonderful story lines on General Hospital that I expect these to pump up the volume. Thank you Ron and Frank for bringing back three of my favorites. (Sorry Jason and Johnny are not coming back to add to the suspense!)

So done with this show. What they did to Luke and Laura last week was the last straw. Way to crap all over an iconic supercouple, Frank and Ron. I hope you’re proud of yourselves.

How is keeping a story going crap?

Laura has not yet married Scott Baldwin. I am sure there is still more to tell in the Luke-Laura saga.

If you immediately put them back together you have no story for them. Doing this will keep us rooting for them to get back together.

Plus Anthony Geary who plays Luke will leave for his summer break soon so made no sense to put them back together at this point.

But some people are never happy. STop watching and when its cancelled you will be one of the reasons. Then I am sure you will be online blaming ABC instead of yourself

David stop wasting your breathe, everyone always has something to complain about. And ABC/Disney owns part of hulu, and I believe still have money at stake with PP and the new soaps and no one will tell me any different.

I’ll be online, but I won’t be complaining. I’ll be watching OLTL.

I don’t care….I am thrilled with the new OLTL….. we have characters we knew and loved…with a nice mix of the young folks…

AMC too much kid stuff.. I understand what you are trying to do ratings wise… but I need more of my originals…thanks goodness for the Hubbards, David and Dixie..

The first week of the new OLTL was decent. Week 2 was ok.

I thought AMC was not as good week 1 but def was better in week 2. AMC is doing the much slower paced soap story telling which I enjoy far more.

If OLTL had more Vicki-Dorian, less Trevor St John as Victor and less Tea I’d enjoy it far more

Are all you ppl insane? I love the new shows, they are awesome!

I would have like to see them in both. If abc and pp could have shared a little it would have been beneficial to BOTH and the FANS would really WIN!
Having said that, I’m a of KA, RH, & ME. I will always watch their work !

I would have loved for them to play the same roles, but whatever…. Glad to have Roger Howarth back on GH!!!! Sorry, but the OLTL online revival isn’t cutting it for me! I do hope theyake it, but I just am not into it!

About time we get a wild ride ron, the last couple of episodes have been boring. well on minday we get these actors returning along with the chew!

Speaking of Neighbours, the Australian soap opera also received its first ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Daytime Drama Series now that its a revival can be streamed on Amazon Freevee. In the Daytime Drama series categories, CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless each scored 12 nominations more than any other show. Leading the acting nominations was B&B, who landed 7 performers in the various categories, a first in its 37-year history.

Brent Stanton, Head of Daytime, NATAS added, “Producing the Daytime Emmys is a labor of love for all of us at NATAS. The huge popularity of these shows continues to be must-see viewing for their fans.” NATAS also revealed that Lifetime Achievement Honorees, Hosts, Presenters, and Silver and Gold Circle honorees will be revealed at a later date.

The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in television programming honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, culinary, and legal/courtroom programs. In 2021, NATAS and the Television Academy jointly announced plans to realign the Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards to be organized by content genre, as opposed to program airtime.

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be produced once again by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI). Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS, while David McKenzie executive produces from ATI.

Congratulations to all the men and women in front of the camera and behind the scenes for their recognition as we take a look at who will be going for gold come June. Here are the nominees below starting with the Daytime Drama Categories.
