Heather Tom Reveals She’s Now Writing for The Bold and the Beautiful
What’s a multi-talented six-time Daytime Emmy-winner going to do next in her illustrious career? Try not only becoming a highly-respected director, but now you can add soap writer to the credit list.
On Wednesday’s live chat on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom (Katie Logan) revealed to not only the viewers, but to her co-star, Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), that he has just started writing scripts for the CBS daytime drama series.
During a question from one of the fans in the live chat, they first offered kudos to Heather’s excellent direction of one of her episodes of B&B, where in the crematorium furnace, Deacon (Sean Kanan) saw that “Sheila” (Kimberlin Brown) had ten toes not nine.

Tom responded, “I’m directing more episodes. I’m actually also writing (for the show). So I just finished my third script. That’s kind of a new development.” Heather joins another B&B actor, who also writes for the series in Lawrence Saint-Victor, who plays Carter Walton. The Bold and the Beautiful’s head writer is Brad Bell, who also serves as the series executive producer. Her first episode as a script writer is set to air on November 6th.

Don Diamont was at first surprised by the news that Heather was working on scripts for B&B, but then chimed in with: “So, there’s nothing shocking to me that she is a sensational director. Heather will be equally wonderful at writing as she is at acting, and as director her creative mojo is just off the chart. She is just so gifted and so committed, and it all matters to her. I just cannot say enough. It is the best thing of my career to work with this wonderfully talented woman, and just wonderful person.”
Heather’s first episode as a script writer is set to air on November 6th
What do you think of Heather getting the opportunity to write for B&B as well as direct? Let us know in the comment section, and if you are hoping for a Batie reunion. In case you missed the livestream from yesterday you can catch it below.
I adore Heather Tom
Glad to learn that she is in front of the camera, behind the camera, and at the writers table
But more than anything, I am loving watching Heather(Katie) with Crew(Will)
Heather was Victoria on Y and R when Joshua (Nick) actually became a real life father to Crew
Maybe she will write how the Logan’s should quit kissing the forresters tails!! It’s becoming to sickening to watch how they have to kiss the forrester’s tails
Yes!! I am getting sick of them running over Brooke and Hope. They Stefy is something else. Always low rating Brooke when she did the same thing or worse.
It doesn’t spark much confidence that Brad Bell is still head writer. At this point, I would prefer Heather & Lawrence take over as head writers, and steer the ship in the right direction.
Agree!!
Heather is so talented I read she was in a play with Richard Chamberlain and she was just fantastic.
The storylines have sucked so looking forward to new writers & fresh ideas. She’s a great actress so GO Heather.
Not only a great actress but a script writer too. Good for her. Go Heather. I myself am an aspiring TV writer, so I 100% back Heather in her scriptwriting for B&B.
This shows script is so repetitive. The story lines are hashed out with all the actors for a week …. Makes for a very boring show when you have to listen to the same lines told 10 different ways by 10 different actors.
Good for writers I suppose, write 2 pages of script told differently every day by different actor and have the rest of the week off.
Maybe set and forget with AI ?
Might get some different dialogue from the rest of the cast.
LOL!!! So happy to know that I am not alone with that opinion. This cannot be good for the actors. Sure doesn’t give them much range, yet they manage to keep a straight face.
I think that the series needs as much help as possible. This show keeps doing over and over with Brooke, Ridge and Taylor threesome, which is not only boring but also demeaning to women. Please get some fresh ideas on the storyline.
I like Katie Logan, portrayed by Heather Tom, and been amazed you have been writing, acting and directing for The Bold and Beautiful. I never miss an episode! I have watched the show for years and years.
I would like to make a suggestion for The Bold and Beautiful. Since the take over of the Company, I think Hope should present herself in a more sophisticated dress and ditch the BoHo attire. Something in simple lines, but sheik for her new role.
Will continue watching with anticipation. Thank you Heather for taking the time to read my suggestion. Great work from you as an actress and writer and director.
I’m so sick of that Ridge an Brook belongs together they don’t she then had the dad and the three brothers we need to see him with Taylor

ABC/Disney Upfronts: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 35 Adds ‘Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson, ‘The Bachelor’ Franchise Spin-Offs Not on Fall Schedule
On Tuesday, May 12 at the ABC/Disney Upfronts, there were several headlines coming out of it for the upcoming 2026-2027 television and streaming season.
First, Savannah Bananas second baseman Jackson Olson will be taking some swings on the ballroom dance floor when he joins other celebrities already locked in for Dancing with the Stars season 34.
Olson will join already confirmed reality stars: Maura Higgins (The Traitors and Love Island) and Ciara Miller (Summer House). The full cast list and their pro partners will be announced on September 2nd.

SAVANNAH BANANAS COME TO DISNEY+
The news of Olson who has also become a social media influencer, comes out of the Disney upfront that also revealed that Disney+ will become the exclusive home of the Banana Bowl streaming live this October, hence the tie-in.
The Banana Bowl will feature the top teams in the Banana Ball league facing off for the season championship. Known for blending athleticism with entertainment, the game will include one of the biggest performances the league has ever seen, bringing together all six teams, along with its signature on-field showmanship.
NO BACHELOR FRANCHISE THIS FALL
Meanwhile, ABC revealed that a new season for the troubled The Bachelor franchise offshoots is not on the fall schedule where they usual place: The Bachelorette, The Golden Bachelor or Golden Bachelortte are no where to be found. This is the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic that there will be no Bachelor-branded series on ABC’s fall schedule.

Photo: ABC
The Bachelor will return as usual in the midseason in 2027, Grant Ellis was the lead as the man looking for love and vying for a woman’s heart in 2025.
All this, amid the turmoil surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette being pulled and currently never seeing the light of day after the domestic violence surfaced with her throwing a chair towards the direction of her child, while she got into a melee with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Ari Goldman, SVP, Content Strategy and Scheduling said of removing The Bachelor from the new season ABC lineup, “We’ve had to take a look at just managing the franchise properly. These shows have enormous fan bases, and we were so thrilled the year that we were able to launch Golden Bachelor and have it stand out in that fall season the way that it did. But I think that the usual cadence that we like to find ourselves in is really the flagship series in midseason and then having some summer edition, which we have already locked in on Bachelor of Paradise for next season. So this is more of a return to a steady state on the franchise.”
So, what do you think about Jackson Olson from the Savannah Bananas joining the new season of Dancing with the Stars? Do you like how the show is making efforts to cast social media influencers and talents with a mass number of followers to draw eyeballs to the reality-competition series? Meanwhile, are you for or against even The Bachelor coming back in 2027, or do you think its time to rest the entire concept all of its spin-offs for good? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Currently in story on the top-rated CBS soap opera, Nick has found himself addicted to painkillers and especially fentanyl, in part, thank to the machinations of the return of his nemesis Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
