Is Meg Steedle Poised To Be Jonathan Jackson's New Love Interest On NASHVILLE?

Looks like another young woman wil enter the life of Avery Barclay (Jonathan Jackson) on ABC’s Nashville!  In a casting news out on Wednesday from TV Line, Boardwalk Empire’s Meg Steedle has joined the cast of the Music City drama, which has its midseason finale tonight at 10PMEST.

Steedle will make her debut in the second half of the season when the series returns in March of 2016.  Apparentely, Meg will guest-star in an episode as a single mom that Avery takes a liking to after they have a first encounter.  Steedle took to Twitter to post a photo outside a famous Nashville series landmark relating: “Can you tell which set I’m on?? The filter is a hint.”

Meanwhile, Juliette played by Hayden Panettiere is still the mother of Avery’s child, Cadence.  Currently, he is raising the baby by his lonesome, since Juliette has been battling with her inner demons, and Panettiere was off the series recovering from postpartum depression.  The second half of the fourth season of Nashville kicks off on March 16th.

So, would you like to see Jonathan Jackson have a new on-screen squeeze … or, do you hope when Juliette returns, she and Avery can work things out and  somehow become a happy family? Comment below!

She should run fast away from the show. I used to watch it, now I skip through it in 10 minutes. I don’t care much about any character anymore and it never used real country music anyway. HEE HAW was more entertaining. At least we imagined Roy Clark might roll in the hay with those Busty Blondes. On this show at this point…I don’t even care anymore. The ratings show I am not the only one. I imagine ABC will cancel it only to be picked up by CMT with 2 original cast members if they are that lucky. Speaking… Read more »

I agee with you. I tried to get interested in Jonathan Jackson’s role–it started with such promise–but he is really under utilized now and the “romance” with Hayden’s character just never seemed to really get started. Loved him as Lucky–but he really doesn’t “fit” this meandering series that seems to lack any focus or passion. Too bad. He was able to showcase his talent much more on GH, ironically–though the later writing really almost destroyed him as Lucky. PS Since he is “otherwise engaged on Nashville, could we please have Greg Vaughn as Lucky–he played well with Genie–and Laura needs… Read more »

Jonathan Jackson is a captivating actor. He and Hayden are terrific together. I’m just happy for him to have a front burner story.

Used to love the show. This season is lackluster at best. At this rate, I’d prefer Jonathan Jackson back on GH. He is Lucky and the character is desperately needed.

Want him and Juliette back together. They were the best thing about this show before the writing for them turned so bad at the end of season 3. Hayden and Jonathan are great together.

Breaking News

Ex-Nashville and GL’s Hayden Panettiere’s Boyfriend Arrested After Allegedly Punching Her

More upsetting news involving former ABC and CMT’s Nashville star (Ex-Juliette Barnes), Hayden Panettiere.  According to various reports, the actress was punched by her boyfriend Brian Hickerson with a closed fist in an incident that occurred in Wyoming, over the Valentine’s Day weekend.  He was arrested around 2:30am on February 14th.

According to TMZ: the police report said that Hayden revealed that she and Brian were in their bedroom when he started throwing her around and punched her.  The Teton County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a disturbance at a private residence. That caller said an intoxicated male was locked out of the home because he punched his girlfriend in the face.

Pantierre’s face was red and swollen, and she also had a scrape and swelling on her left hand; which she believed came from Hickerson’s watch during the altercation.  Deputies then decided to book Hickerson for domestic battery. He was also hit with a second charge of interfering with a police officer for allegedly refusing to identify himself.

Things looked like they had taken a turn for the better before the incident, noting that the couple moved past another altercation previously from 2019.  That case was dismissed, although he has left red marks on Pantierre’s body, because they could not find a “material witness”.

Hayden and Brian have been dating since 2018.  Daytime fans remember first seeing Hayden as a young Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light.  She played Juliette on Nashville from 2012-2018.

So what do you think about the latest incident involving Hayden? Comment below.

WATCH: Jonathan Jackson + Enation’s New Music Video “The Days Are Evil”

Five-time Daytime Emmy winner from General Hospital, and former Nashville star, Jonathan Jackson (Ex-Lucky, Ex-Avery) has released a new music video for the new single “The Days Are Evil” along with his band Enation.

The music video features shots of Jackson in a very dark incarnation, and the track will also appear on Jackson + Enation’s upcoming album due out later this fall, Ultraviolet Empire.

Jonathan says of the new album: “Our new album, Ultraviolet Empire, is a throwback record. It’s a record we played together live in the studio. Most of the songs are one take -just letting the band play.  It was amazing playing with our co-producer Colin Linden and capturing something so raw and visceral.”

This will be the band’s follow-up to their 2017 album  Anthems for the Apocalypse and their successful 2018 tour in Europe opening for Echo & The Bunnymen,

Check out the music video featuring Jonathan released this week below.

Then, let us know, should Lucky return to Port Charles for the Nurses’ Ball with his band and play a tune off the new album next spring? Will Jonathan come home to GH for a guest appearance? Will you be checking out the new music from him in the coming months? Comment below.

RENEWALS: How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy CANCELLATIONS: Life In Pieces, Star

The last 36 hours have seen some of your favorite primetime dramas renewed and others canceled; several of which feature former or current soap stars.  ABC has renewed for its upcoming sixth season How to Get Away with Murder.  During its fifth season, the series ranked as the No. 1 program in Thursday’s 10 PM slot in key demos: Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.

How To Get Away With Murder stars Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, a law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia university who, with five of her students, becomes entwined in a murder plot.  The ensemble cast includes: Rome Flynn (Ex-Zende of The Bold and the Beautiful) who plays the key role of Gabriel Maddox.

Also on ABC, Grey’s Anatomy received a two-year renewal for seasons 16 and 17.  For season 16, former Nashville star Chris Carmack (Ex-Will) has been upped to series regular in his role of “Link”.

However, the ensemble CBS comedy Life in Pieces which features Y&R’s Hunter King (Summer) as Clementine was canceled, and will not return after its current fourth season which is currently airing its fifth episode out of thirteen.

Upon learning of the cancellation, King took to her Instagram and shared: “Thank you for bringing me into the Life In Pieces family and for making it such a fun four years. I have so much love and respect for everyone who was involved in this show. Thank you to the amazing cast and crew, and thank you to our amazing leaders Justin Adler, @kaplanaaron , and Jeff Morton . I am forever grateful.”

Finally, Lee Daniels series on Fox, Star, which has been a companion to his hit sudsy Empire, was also canceled after its 3rd season.  Star followed three talented singers – running from their pasts and desperate for a new start – with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cutthroat music business.  It has been reported by various outlets that the showrunners will be looking for another home for the series to try to continue it on.

So, happy to learn about HWTGM and ‘Grey’s’ being renewed? What do you think of the cancellations of Life in Pieces and Star? Let us know via the comment section below.
