Is Phick About To Reignite On The Young and the Restless?

Well, Phick fans you may get your wish after all, or will you?  The stage is set for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to seduce her former flame, Nick Newman (Joshua Newman), or might he seduce her? Hmmm.  These are the questions that may be answered next week on upcoming episodes of CBS Daytime’s, The Young and the Restless.

In the latest preview for next week in Genoa City. Adam (Mark Grossman), who wants to get closer to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick out of the picture, gets his scheming partner, Phyllis over to his penthouse for a chat.

Seems like Adam has a proposition for her. He wants Phyllis to seduce Nick so they can both get what they want.  But … we know Phyllis doesn’t like to be played; especially by some guy who wants her to do his bidding.

But, one can’t help but wonder  …after their recent flirty conversations, if Phyllis doesn’t truly want Nick and to spark the flame that is Phick?

One thing is for sure; having Michelle Stafford back on Y&R it would make plenty of sense for the writers to go down that sexy and romantic road, knowing the success of the pairing that Morrow and Stafford had previously.

Check out the promo here below.

Now let us know, are you hoping that a Phick reprise is on its way? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

It would make sense, but I much preferred Gina Tognoni with Joshua Morrow.

Agree. Tognoni elevated her scene partners’ sometimes lacklustre performances. She made Thompson, Bergman and Morrow look like better actors than they probably are.

Tognoni just had an over-all greater connection and chemistry with your on-screen counterparts, all while bringing in a more in-depth, developed performance to the role of Phyllis.

Scott, Adam here, like your comment, yes GINA is needed badly!

She really is but, at this point, I wouldn’t want her walking back in CBS Television at all.

I definitely agree, really miss Gina!

I do, too, and I think it’s sad that another daytime soap hasn’t picked her up. Unless she’s chosen not to pursue another role, due to the result of her run as Phyllis, which was insulting and wrong.

I agree, I really miss Gina Tognoni. She brought more depth to the Phyllis.

She really did. In the five years that Tognoni portrayed the role of Phyllis there was such development in the character; in the past year, Josh Griffith has completely undone that with his fall-back writing.

In full agreement!!! I miss Gina as Phyllis so much!!! She made the character have many dimensions and was great with Josh/Nick. Michelle is beyond annoying and extremely flat. Watching MS creates the sensation of fingernails on a chalkboard.

I agree with you Margherita! I miss Gina as well. To me she really understood Phyllis and put her own spin on the character. I am still not use to Michelle yet. I was looking at old Michelle clips and to me they are totally different then what she is doing now. Like she is going through the motions and doesn’t want to be there. They need to refreshen the whole show. Move forward, not backward. I am so tired of Connor already. I don’t know who is whining more, him or his mother. And don’t even start me on Theo. If they put him with Lola, I will scream. He makes my skin crawl. Devon needs to grow a pair and to stop feeling sorry for himself. He owns his own penthouse complex, he is in partnership with Abby in a restaurant, and he has the foundation he started with Neil. What more does he want. And can Abby be anymore obvious about throwing herself at Chance? Sickening. They need to bring Gloria and the Fenmores out of hiding. And not just for the holidays. I am sick of seeing the same faces all the time. I know it is just a soap opera and I need to get a grip. Thanks for listening one and all. Happy viewing and Happy Holidays

soapqueenforever,
I can only make this response to your comments. DITTO and an extra one added for Christmas. Have a good one, New Year too!

Eww, gross. The actors are both phoning in their performances, so they are compatible in that way. But seriously, the ick factor with these two is off the charts. Their scenes are painful to watch. I imagine the terrible dialogue written for them isn’t helping.

Not again please! You know somewhere down the road Sharon will be unattached and we once again will have the Sharon/Nick/Phyllis triangle.

NOT AGAIN PLEASE?! OMG. Why do the producers hate Nick & Sharon?! Stop prolonging the inevitable! Nick & Sharon are Victor & Nikki!

Nick and Sharon were never inevitable. That was always made up by the Sharon fans. They stayed together way too long and they outgrew each other They have about as much chemistry as a wet dishrag. They have tried time and again to put them together and frankly, they are just not there. Sharon fans would love to keep force-feeding this dead couple to make their fantasy come true, but that is all it is a fantasy. They are like watching paint dry. Nick and Phyllis deserve to be the couple they were created to be and they need to be Sharon free, without the screwed up writing of Maria Bell and Phelps, who both destroyed the most winning couple in daytime. Why they did that is crazy to me. Why would anybody destroy what is working for something that doesn’t work at all? If they are writing to keep people coming to their message boards, you can tell it because the stories don’t make any more sense than the message boards do and frankly, the hate by the Sharon fans on the CBS message board is so over the top you have to wonder what is actually watching this show. It is tiresome to constantly hear obsessed fans hate Phyllis over an idiot like Sharon anyway. People would watch this show more if they weren’t run off the message boards by the 6 hoggish Sharon fans who persist in pissing off Phyllis fans and running them off. They figure this isn’t worth it and don’t watch. Maybe the show should consider that.

More uninspired mediocre writing from Griffith and co. Stafford hasnt even had any scenes with Jasons Billy and now hes circling Amanda in a dive bar like a lowlife. Nick and Sharon barely share scenes either.
Now because both characters have no point lets just put them together again?
So we have to wait a full year before Griffith can be fired again right?

Word on the street is Griffith is on the chopping block but personally it does not matter because they will just replace himwith another recycled writer they are bleeding viewers every week I miss so many of the actors that made this show great . I for one am not interested in the Chelsea show never missed her and Stafford is all over the place and MO has no chemistry with anyone all I see is just reruns and Braeden are you happy you have less screen time then before. I will tell you this however CLB is still cheerleading the show and the way they have treated this multi Emmy award winner is unbelievable ! Gina was treated badly bringing back Stafford backfired she told everybody in every interview that she was done at Y&R of course Burton said the same thing about GH and he is back . I always felt this pairing was like two horny teenagers no substance .

Oh really!!??
Great news.
Thhe original story of Sharon/ Nick / Phyliss penned by Kay Alden I believe was soooo soapy and seductive! Ohhh how i miss the last good run of y n r! Sharon was also circling for Brad!.
Thats when a real writer and a team with vision penned the show!
Josh makes up new dangling pointless plots every week.he shows up half asleep. When they fire his untalented ass in 2020 he can go back to slumber.

Also Michael Baldwins character like Michelles new Phyliss imo has become tooo cartoony. I hate how Michael always pops into scenes overly cheery. Especially when he bumps into the Newmans. Ugh. I want the old grumpy Michael. I hope Fenn stays around. I would love a story again with the Fenmores. Theo is Fenn lite. Cut him fast. Painful

You would have to be dead not to have seen this one coming. Nick too! Phyllis does not need nudging from Adam, as she has been in Nick’s face for weeks.
I also bet I’m not the only one who saw the sparks fly between Rey and Victoria and Billy and Samantha.

I may be in the minority but I could not stand Gina’s ever angry persona. She had but one face from the time she was given the part. Michelle Stafford came to the show as the original Phyllis and remained so for twenty years so I think she pretty much knows Phyllis. Gina was nowhere near who Phyllis is.

No thanks.

I really hope this reunion never happens. I never liked them together in the first place.

I have been watching this just because I am a fan of Phick and I am hoping that the show will reunite them. They light up this rather boring show and frankly, they have unbeatable chemistry. I just love this couple!

I hate devious manipulating Phyliss. Please don’t put Her and Nick together

General Hospital Fall Preview

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.

According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider,  “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”

In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC

ROMEO AND JULIET

“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.

BURYING JACK BRENNAN

Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.

JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST

Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC

ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?

As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and  may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE

The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?

TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?

Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED

Josslyn  Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

Photo: ABC

PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND

Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?

MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE

Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.

So, which of the story points listed above pique’s your interest the most? Are you excited about the fall on General Hospital? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Promo: Women on the Edge

Published

By

General Hospital has released their official video teaser for all-new episodes starting today on September 8 through September 11. In it, several women in Port Charles have reached their breaking point. Who will do or say something they cannot come back from? Let’s take a look!

First, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) in tears and who is wracked with guilt, might be forced to admit her cover-up in driving a car after having a bit to drink to get to her son Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) performance. Brook Lynn believes she was the driver of the other car involved in Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) car accident.

In the Quartermaine living room, Trina confronts her with, “Were you the driver who kept going and left them there to die?” What will BLQ say? And, is the moment that Chase (Josh Swickard) is so fed up with his wife, he hightails it to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)? Stay tuned.

SIX FEET UNDER

Then, with Jack out of the picture (and buried six feet under), Drew (Cameron Mathison) feels vindicated and that he holds all the cards and confronts his now ex-wife for shooting him in the back. Willow blurts out with indignation, “Prove it!” Will this be Willow’s ultimate downfall or Drew’s?

Next, WSB agent Baines (Alimi Ballard) is on the case of Brennan’s disappearance and confronts Carly (Laura Wright) and says, “When was the last time you saw Jack Brennan?”

Will she flip the situation and throw shade at Nina (Cynthia Watros) and tell Baines she heard and saw Nina threatening to kill Jack? We already know Drew is setting Nina to take the fall for Jack’s murder, too!

INTO THE WOODS

Finally, Jason (Steve Burton) has located Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Anna (Finola Hughes) in the woods. He asks Anna to stop, just as it appears she is going to pull the trigger and end the life of Dr. Britt Westbourne.

Shots are fired after Anna says, “This has to end tonight!” Do you think anyone was on the receiving end of a bullet, or did Jason save the day?

Check out the official GH promo for this week entitled “The Fallout Continues” below and our previously reported additional spoilers for the action in Port Charles here.

Now weigh-in: Do you think GH has several ladies on the brink of disaster? Who do you think will end up A-OK, and whose life do you think may be vastly altered by week’s end? Let us know your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Trina Demands Answers from Brook Lynn, Scout Questions Rocco, and Can Anna Pull the Trigger on Britt?

Published

This week on General Hospital, the week kicks-off on Labor Day with a rebroadcast of the special episode dedicated to Anthony Geary (ex-Luke Spencer). The eight-time Daytime Emmy winning star passed away in December of 2025 and come February 2026, GH crafted a tribute in his honor with the story centering on Luke’s daughter, Lulu (Alexa Havins) mourning the loss of her father.

Then, all-new episodes begin on Tuesday, September 8 and in the video teaser for it, Trina (Tabyana Ali) continues confronting Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) at the Quartermaines, demanding to know if BLQ was behind the wheel of the other car that “caused” the accident that injured Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and her father Curtis (Donnell Turner), who is now spending jail time after being found guilty of assaulting Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) believing he was the other driver who caused the accident.

Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi) questions Rocco (Finn Carr), if their first kiss together was “OK?” What will be his answer? Meanwhile, Isaiah continues to question Ava (Maura West), wanting to know where she has been in the last 24 hours that she would have had a very dangerous tick stuck in her scalp? What will she say to get out of the fact that along with Drew (Cameron Mathison), she was burying Jack Brennan’s body in the woods.

Photo: ABC

Then, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is seen talking with Sonny (Maurice Benard), where she says, “It’s time to change tactics!” Most likely, she is talking about dealing with Drew’s threats. Meanwhile, Drew is on the warpath and Ava tries to talk him down by saying, “Don’t you think calling the sheriff is a little extreme?” Why does Drew want to call the sheriff?

Finally, in the pick up from last Friday’s cliffhanger where Anna (Finola Hughes) pulled a gun on Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in the middle of nowhere, Anna says, “I’m not going to let you stop me!” Who is she talking to? Is it Jason (Steve Burton) who found out Britt’s location … or Britt herself? Stay tuned.
