It's a Halloween Spooktacular Week On General Hospital! – Watch The Promo!

Courtesy/ABC
Chills, thrills, and spine-tingling shockers are the order of the week as Halloween is upon us on General Hospital! Who will be tricked? Who will get a treat?
In this just released new promo from ABC, Carly (Laura Wright) certainly is popular! First, getting a visit from Derek Wells AKA Julian Jerome (William deVry) who shows up at her door in full costume regalia, and then Carly is in a near kiss with Franco (Roger Howarth)!
Next, Patrick (Jason Thompson, who we think is supposed to be Indiana Jones) opens a door, and next shot is a shocked Robin (Kimberly McCullough)! Is it a red-herring? Will the two finally, really, see each other?
And let’s not forget about Beetlejuice at the beginning of the promo … have you figured out who that is?
Watch the Halloween Spooktacular promo after the jump! Who’s costume is your favorite thus far? What do you think will happen over the next few Halloween episodes? And what about Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) attempt to discredit Maxie (Kirsten Storms) in front of the court in order to keep baby Connie? Comment away!
Faison id Beetlejuice!!
Thats who i think too…he has the hair for it…lol
Why dress up Faison as Beetlejuice– he is creepy enough without a costume—lol.
Faison could have easily portrayed Einstein, too…not as outrageously outré, but quite realistic given his raving mad intellect!!! Still cannot get over the “Heidi From Hell” look that Obrecht rocked. It was just so wrong on so many levels….and yet it totally worked!!! It was a real shame that “Schatzi” didn’t play along so they could have been the “Tyrolean Twins!” That would have been the height of hilarity…although I thought Britt’s “Gothic Angel” get up was gorgeous!!!!
But my first guess…which i 4got to inc. in my reply is Richard Simmons…Faison is my second!
It was him…my second guess
Oh, wow! Patrick as Indiana Jones…mercy, he looks so good!!!! Can’t wait to see that, and can’t wait to see what Emma’s wearing! I love Robin in her costume, too. I can’t wait until the Scorpio-Drake family is reunited!!!
Would of been great time to bring back the vampire and Richard Simmons(now thats scary!)…No, Patrick wont see Robin…its all tricks but whatta treat!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN YA ALL!!!
Maybe Silas could be dressed as vampire Caleb and he runs into Lucy? That would be a funny!
Would HAVE….not would OF…
have, have, have, yep but…oh well…lol
Bait & Switch for Patrick & Robin fans. Which is why I’m not watching this drivel until Jason Thompson is allowed to get out of the kiddie pool & work with the adults. Sabrina is the worst thing to ever happen to Patrick. Can’t wait until it is no longer Patrick’s job to lick her ass.
Not only is “Sappy” the worst thing to ever happen to Patrick, but the show as well. I am really hard pressed to think of when GH ever had a more annoying, pointless and ill-conceived character…especially not one that was force-fed to the audience to this degree. Generally, when a soap receives such a roundly reviled reception to a role they either cut back appearances to an absolute minimum or stick that person in a broomcloset and never let them out again. I will never understand why this was not the case with this needless nurse!
Sabrina actually looked better with the blonde hair and reminded be of the late Shell Keppler’s Amy…Sabrina shouldve been similar to Amy…she shouldve been an awakward, gossippy nurse minus the makeover and attracted to Micheal…Liz and Patrick shouldve been paired instead…it wouldve made a greater storyline if Robin found her husband with Liz!!!
@jimh…Well, I agree with you about the Liz part….that would have been a far better and more poignant storyline. Robin would have gotten exactly what she wished for! Can you imagine her mixed emotions over that? Sam also could have been a great partner for Patrick, although I’m glad to see her with Silas….they are finally going somewhere with their relationship! Truly ABS (Anybody but Sappy….) would have been preferable for Drake Jr….have you noticed how except for the overbearing Felix, nobody’s reaction is to be over the moon about their pathetic engagement??? Maxie was completely underwhelmed, Liz seemed only politely encouraging, and Epiphany appeared less excited than when she is giving a surly patient a spongebath! Really. I just hope that Britt starts spilling soon regarding Robin….you know she wants to, I know I want her to!!! Watching Dr. Scorpio secretly witnessing HER family is simply sheer torture…I know it’s good drama and meant to build up to a huge payoff, but it is almost getting to the point of cruelty for both Robin and the viewers! Particularly after that “new mommy” comment…it was nauseating! Please give Emma her REAL mother back already! Furthermore, I didn’t find the “Farrah” wig at all attractive for Sappy…my initial reaction was that it made her look like a cheap hooker…haha. And I thought the costume was stupid for that character, too. I could have seen a real heroine like Anna donning it, or even Felicia or Carly. (She and “Corn Girl” would have made a cute “dynamic duo,” although the catsuit was awesome….hackneyed, yes, but awesome!) Better yet, how about Dr. O. and Britt in those getups? Perfection! LOL….As for an “Amy2,” I don’t think so….the original was more than enough, God rest her soul!!!! (Oh wait, we do have an Amy2….Felix!!!!) ; )
Your right…Felix is Amy2!!!
i love Carly and Franco i can’t wait
Of course not!!
More bait for Scrubs fans!!
He will probably come close to opening the door, but the Petite Pink Mop will call him, stopping him, then have Robin tortured some more by hearing them kissy facing on the other side of the door!!!
It’s a soap .. It will be awhile before the 2 see each other..
Like all soaps, we will be teased and teased..
gotta love soaps!!!!
Do not hope nor count on Patrick and Robin seeing each other until sweeps week !!!
November sweeps starts today!
I would like to commend GH on all of its storylines and use of vets and all the reunions we have seen in the last year. There is only one reunion that yet needs to take place. Jonathan Jackson with Genie Francis. We , as fans, and Michael, you having the forum to help promote this request, needs to get this out there. They have not been together onscreen in about 14-15 years. This needs to take place. Let’s work on this.
Pretty sure I remember reading an interview with Frank Valentini or maybe it was with Jonathan Jackson himself around the time of the 50th Anniversary, that they had talked about him returning for that, but it didn’t work out because of his schedule with Nashville.
J.J. said that seven months ago. He should find time to come back. Look how short his
hslf brother Ethan (Dodger) was on. It’s not as if Nashville never takes a break. He’s not the main character.
this lil piece of entertainment called general hospital is a lil spit fire,,,every scene has motive and plotline. it has me tuned in every day ,,I cant miss an eppy..the Halloween eppys looks amazing ..bring on the tricks and treats.,,but one thing,,,,where the hell is genie francis.
This regime has no use for. Genie Francis. They have made that clear. Even in interviews they talk about how they prefer Luke never growing or maturing…and staying in dark and depressing storylines. This is how Geary lives…you’d think if he was. An actor he would want to play something different….like maybe a man who has matured a touch since 1979. But nope. They have no regard for the fans whatsoever.
Genie Francis should go back to DAYS!
Can’t wait!!! Looks great!!! Not sure Robin will be seen by Patrick though… will hope so!!! The costumes and make-up look awesome!!! Love that they are having some spooky fun… lots of opportunities for all of the baddies to rek some havoc!!!
Patrick looks hot as Indy but that is so not who Patrick is. That would be more fitting for Robin or Robert. Faison as Beetlejuice would be a hoot. I do like Robin’s outfit.
This Carly and Robin fan loves it! MyCarly brings the boys to the yard!! Wheee!!
I wish Patrick was finding Robin but I think not yet. I can’t wait for their reunion. 🙂
The Lulu/Maxie scenes should be goooood. I know Maxie was in the wrong but I’m rooting for her. Lulu needs to step off.
Pretty sure Patrick won’t be seeing Robin yet, at least not out of her costume. He’s looking pretty hot as Indiana Jones!! Obvious that Faison is Beetlejuice – how fitting! LOVE GH!
So freaking awesome. I just love this show so much it kills me.
Please no Richard Simmons. Ever. So many talented actors are not getting nearly enough time.
Patrick looking hot! Beetle juice! Awesome can not wait for this!!!
jimh is right ! Beatlejuice is Richard Simmons. Far too easy to figure that out, Michael.
Almost..Richard was my first and Faison was second…it does make sense that it turned out to be the latter!!!
Thats gotta be Heather with the knife…also i believe Emma might see Robin and no one will believe her…just harmless guesses but i hope im right!
Soooo…do you think Heather is actually Franco’s mama????? Her persistent patrolling of the painting pariah seems strangely similar to her “Steven Laaaars” stalking shtick. Only question would then be, who’s the daddy? Edward /Alan Q., Jimmy Lee Holt, Joe Kelly, or God forbid, Scotty???? Knowing the lovestruck lunatic’s lustful legacy and her ostensive obstinate obsessions, the possibilities are practically perpetual!!!
We have waited too long for Robins return…it is past time now so I hope she is revealed this week! I loved Sabrina with big glasses and big hair! As a love interest for Patrick its just not believable! I was a nurse 35 yrs ago and if we had been that unprofessional at the nurses station gossiping, we would have been fired! – please get Robin back asap! Did Britta steal Lulu and Dante’s baby from Maxi’s supposed miscarriage? That would be amazing for the story- just unite them quickly- too much pain and fighting is not good!!! Thank you, Jana Asher Lk Stevens, WA
Loving maura west as ava !:)
When is Sabrina and Patrick’s wedding? That’s when Patrick will see Robin; along with everyone else in PC. (Just my guess.)
Looking forward to GH every day.
Hopefully, NEVER! Have had more than enough of “Princess Pushy” and her gloating, conceited, obnoxious and possessive behavior, particularly since Patrick’s ill-advised proposal….perhaps she should be attired as “Bridezilla” for Halloween. It would be ALL too fitting!!!!! That being said, could we please find a bit of relief in terms of Drake Jr.getting a clue here? Maybe he could just keep seeing signs that something isn’t quite right and then get cold feet, leaving “Sappy” at the altar….that would be oh so sweet!
I love that Morgan wants to take Sonny down. I loathe the character of Sonny and have for 20 years. Hopefully his own son will help bring about his downfall.
As an A.J. fan, ICAM!! It fits that Franco is going as Andy Warhol!
Thought Franco was great fun as “Andy Warhol!” But the Teutonic treasures were the real laugh riots in their costumes….Dr. O. as a frisky fraulein wench (with those girlish braids and utterly ridiculous Oktoberfest dirndl getup) and Faison as a beastly “Betelgeuse” were both completely bonkers. ….kind of hard to believe that such intelligent and ruthless individuals would go in for Halloween hijinks and hilarity, but perhaps that’s what made it so amusing…the absolute absurdity of it all!!!! Despite their immense intellectual capacity and smug scientific superiority, Liesl and Cesar are surprisingly childlike and mercurial at times. (And how about wanting to dress-up Ben-Cesar as “Rosemary’s Baby?” Toooo funny….) P.S. Wasn’t Britt stunningly beautiful in her costume? So ethereal…..
Gh was fun today.I actually thought Faison was quite funny in that costume.Dr. O was right up there in the comic category. These two are halloween junkies all year.Britta was very pretty in her costume. Her and Nicholas are heading for a heated relationship.I also think Britta’s baby is Dantes and Lulus real child. All the vibes are present.
Carly looked sexy in the catwoman costume.Suits her.
Keep up with the great story lines GH.Looking good.
I personal don’t want scrubs back together.I hope Patrick and Sabrina are married before he see Robin
Sabrina is better off with someone like Micheal Corinthos…
I don’t think Micheal is a good fit for Sabrina. I am 100% a Patrina fan. Robin and Patrick aka scrubs is old and played out. The writers need to realize this or they will lose the # 1 spot back to Y&R. I understand Robin has been on the show for along time she needs to get hook up with someone else.
Put her back with “Car-LOS!” They deserve each other…..then ship them off, far, far away from PC!!!!!
Loved Thursday’s Halloween episode!!! Making Faison Beetlejuice was inspired!!! He was sheer perfection!!! I loved the antics with Faison and Dr. O and Leslie Webber!!! Love making the baddies funny and quirky!!! The costumes and makeup were great!!! Carly looked incredible and Franco as Andy Warhol was also inspired!! Can’t wait for today’s episode!!!
LOL
my regards to Leslie Webber….
dumbfounded and confused… puts it mildly….
she plays confounded priceless….
we all knew she was right… but… batty… it up… Denise Alexander ‘DID’
and it was a hoot – a bang – all systems go….
appropriate that the party – festivities, as it were -started with her in the know
it all snowballed, spiraled – feast for the eyes…. witty innuendo… read between the lines… the “costumes” the “facade” the “inquiry” the “telling” “fantastic’als abound”
———
applause for the Production…. @GH
What whiny actress took over as Monica? And will someone please recast Carly’s daughter? That kid not only looks freaky OUTSIDE her costume but she’s a horrible little actress.
my bad, whiny actress was Lesley not Monica. DOH!! 😉 Still … replace Carly’s child!! ANNOYING little corn.
Kelly T. (Britt) and Kathleen G. (Dr. O.!) each featured a photo on their Twitter pages of “The Parents From Hell” bedecked in their Halloween finery! Really have to say that in addition to being such obviously gifted and disciplined thespians, both Ms. Gati and Mr. Hove are truly incredible sports when it comes to doing over-the-top antics that lesser actors might think is beneath their talents….these two just take it on, roll with it and make it their own!!!! Soooo love them for their superb sense of mirth, merriment and majesty….please keep it coming, particularly through the upcoming holidays. Can you just imagine Thanksgiving and Christmas with this dysFUNctional dynasty???? Let the feasting and caroling begin!!!! (Hmmm…will Liesl prepare any German goodies????)
Agree completely Shay… well said!!! They were sheer perfection and I watched their scenes over a few times and I see them having fun with it… and can’t get enough!!! Obviously Halloween is their holiday but would love to see them with others. Would love to see a way for Faison and Dr. O to stick around for a while on Spoon Island… lt suits them!!! I absolutely adore Faison as Beetlejuice!!!
I agree with you Shay, they are fun to watch, and the holidays can be must watch TV . Don’t forget Fiason, Loved him as the beloved Beetlejuice, Halloween was fun, RON CARLIVATI, Knows how to write very funny scenes, Glad he is making General Hospital a enjoyment to watch again.
I always said id like to see them get together for the holidays with Grandmutter singing Christmas carols to ‘little Ceaser’ and Faison as Santa…lol
Good one jimh. Did anyone else notice that Faison as Beetleljuice looked alot like Johnny Depp in costume on Alice in Wonderland.Same hairstyle.Love the hair. They could use a good hair conditioner.LOL.
So true…those gleeful Germans really do know how to do their Christmas!!!! Can just see Dr. O. and Faison “decking the halls” of Wyndemere while singing “O Tannenbaum!!!” with Little Cesar dressed as an elf as they trim their tree! Not to mention what gargantuan (and most likely inappropriate) gifts they will present to their “wunderkind grandson” in trying to outdo each other! All while Britt just stands there in exasperation witnessing what complete freaks she has for parents!!! Talk about a “holiday from hell!!!!'”
Becca he did look like him…
lol…holiday from Hell?…sounds like some of my familys own holidays together!!!
You do crack me up, jimh!!!! Though it does seem you lead a colorful life….the Thanksgiving tale about your sister delivering the baby comes to mind! LOL….
Lol…our holiday togethers are kinda like the Quartimaine’s but minus the pizza!!!
jimh…..You really are too much fun! ; )

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
