I think it’s great. Jack and Kristina are a rating goldmine that General Hospital missed out on. WCTH will a big following for these two.

The Hallmark Channel?

Yawn. Wake me when it’s over.

Well, it seems to me only fans of the actors of Hallmark shows are the ones who watch the channel. The content on the channel is pretty cheesy.

Jess..sometimes “cheesy’s” a nice and relaxing way to drop out of the real world once in a while, especially now..but not everyday.

Right. I like your “not everyday” take on reality. There are people who drop out of reality with their interests and never return. If I had cable I would watch, but only because Kristina Wagner joined and I have always liked Lori Loughlin and her work. I hope it gets picked up for another season.

I love it. It is a great show. Going to be nice to see Kristina in something totally different then Felicia. I saw Jack in the episodes last year and he was great. Very happy that HallMark channel sees a good thing. Alot of Jack and Kristina fans will watch. Also very happy that they are both foing to be regulars #hearties

I have liked her since the get go on General Hospital. I am glad she is starring in something other than GH, however I wish it was on something else and Jack Wagner was not associated. I always thought she would do great in primetime as a love interest for Danno on CBS’s Hawaii 5-0. Pretty weird huh? I know some people would be appalled at the mention of that but hey, why not?

I loved GH when F&F were portrayed by JW/ KW so brilliantly! I had returned to GH for the return of Frisco Jones in 2013 but was so disappointed by the terrible writing exit. So yes, I’m going to finding what channel is the Hallmark and watch my favorite duo/ they are just magical together, even if there characters won’t be together, I can’t way to see them on same show together. I’m thrilled for Kristina bc I feel the lack of s/ l for her character on GH had left so many fans disappointed and we can catch her on a new show! Good luck to them!

I can’t wait to see this series. They are some of my favorite actors.

I’m with you. Love to see them together again.

Agree – Love them together.

I loved them both on GH. Can’t wait for this series with both of them. Wish they could be back together in real life…..cute couple!

I have never heard of it, and I’m glad this was posted. I love all of the actors and can’t wait to watch!

I love this show and I am a big fan of General Hospital so this is wonderful news. can’t wait for April. 🙂

I LOVE Hallmark. Good move by the cabler to sign these fan faves.

Some of the best news I’ve seen in a long time. I am not a “Heartie,” but Jack&Kristina together anywhere is enough for me. I’ll be watching.

I will watch anything with Jack Wagner and having Kristina there too now is an even better bonus. Is she staying at recurring status on GH?

This is the best news starting out a brand new year. Jack and Kristina are multitalented actors. They will add wonderful drama and humor on WCTH. I am a “Heartie”,and Jack and Kristina fan, so I will be happy to watch Season 2.

I am very excited about Kristina and Jack working on the same show together. I never really heard of WCTH till Jack came on the last 2 episodes of S1. I will definitely tune in she will make a great addition to the show. I switched to Dish Network just to get the Hallmark Channel because I did not have it with ATT U verse. I bet Kristina will come on as the secret in Bill’s past.

I love them together. There was a spark and chemistry mixed with danger and adventure when they were Felicia and Frisco that GH has really missed over the years. It was still there during their last reunion on GH, even though it was cut short in such an abrupt, unsatisfying way.

Super Couple back in the 80s and in my eyes have remained the same. Their chemistry has always been amazing.Jack & Kristina Wagner’s accomplishments
in film, production , theatre ,music, charity just wonderful . Thumbs up Hallmark & Congratulations Jack and Kristina 🙂 All The Best to ..
When Calls The Heart

I enjoy any program featuring Jack Wagner, but I find it interesting that some 30 years after the initial phenomenon of “Frisco and Felicia” he still has to carry KW for her to be involved in any viable project. Without him by her side, she is just so diminished, despite all efforts to find another romantic, dramatic niche for her on GH. (Having said that, I am sincerely hoping that the idiotic mayoral contest storyline does not go in Felicia’s favor….of all the women in Port Charles, she is one of the last I would choose to run the PTA, let alone the entire city!!!!) Also, I love Wagner’s character in his current “WCTH” pairing with Abigail played by Lori Laughlin….they are such a perfect couple! Don’t want to see that courtship ruined….Kristina must be playing Avery’s ex! Talk about art imitating life!!!!!

While they’re at it, how about getting Lori’s former Edge of Night co-star Charles Flohe/Grant as a guest star???? Loved his Preacher and her Jody together….And if that’s not possible, well then, there’s always John Stamos from Loughlin’s “Full House” days to consider….

I want to encourage anyone who hasn’t to purchase the prize-winning documentary that Kristina Wagner conceived of and brought to fruition with her brother, Joe Crump (they financed this project themselves). Children of Internment is a significant historically driven/historically accurate work that is also beautifully filmed and edited. Watching this made me understand that her talents and gifts are varied and need to be shared on a grander scale. I hope she’s able to fit more movie-making into whatever else it is she chooses to do.

sidebar: I am a bit baffled by how much touting of the “Bill/Abigail” pairing I see based on two episodes and about 10 minutes total of screen time from last season. People see what they want to see, but if ever claims of “chemistry” were greatly exaggerated, these are.

I am so excited about this news. I haven’t watched WCTH before, but since I’m a FriscoandFelicia fan since I was 10, I will now. Plus, I love Jack and Kristina together, so to have the opportunity to see them work together again is awesome. The fact that it’s 30 years after they debuted at FriscoandFelicia, and fans are so excited about them being on WCTH together, speaks to the timelessness of their pairing. They were magic together as FnF and that chemistry hadn’t missed a beat when they reunited on GH in 2013. As for Kristina, I’m excited to see her play another character other than Felicia. She is accomplished professionally as an award winning documentary filmmaker, so she doesn’t need anyone to “carry” her in viable projects. The fact is Jack and Kristina carry each other beautifully in scenes. Congrats to them, and I look forward to seeing Jack and Kristina on the show.

@JoAnna….I was actually referring to television projects, and I was certainly not discounting the laudable documentary activities of KW. What I meant is that unlike say, Genie Francis, who escaped the fabled “(Luke and) Laura” ingénue stereotype to go on to rack up countless acting credits in both primetime series and assorted soap opera roles, Wagner was primarily left languishing as GH’s Felicia, and no matter who she was paired with after her ex, it lacked the magic of her original coupling with Frisco. There was Colton Shore, Mac, and even a very ill-fated dalliance with Luke. None has ever really, truly worked, hence, it seems to me without Jack’s considerably charismatic coattails, she is not deemed desirable as a stand-alone commodity. As for those touting his Bill Avery with Loughlin’s character, I think it’s simply something that people want to see more of based upon the fact they look so good together…..Despite her many years in the business, Lori is still such a beauty!!!! It’s quite hard to believe it was 30 years ago that she was Jody on Edge of Night!!!!

I am soooo thrilled to hear the news of Jack and Kristina, I love them together!

Hooray!! I always loved Frisco and Felicia. I watched them everyday on General Hospital. I’m so glad they’re back in the filming together!! They are phenomenal!! The ratings will go through the ceiling again!!

Hi All…I found this story on an older MF page. Just wanted to add that I am now watching a rerun of the ‘When Calls the Heart’ series, originally on Hallmark 2016. It’s on in my market at 7am every morning as part of my cable package. No streaming. It’s great seeing the episodes with Kristina (Felicia) and Jack Wagner (Frisco) as part of the cast. And if you watch, it a little to close to home since recent events in their lives. Wish they were back on GH together. They represented the best in soaps…romance humor, and adventure in great locations.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
