Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Posts Statement On Her Status With The Bold and The Beautiful!

So many fans worldwide of The Bold and the Beautiful have been hoping for a return of Steffy Forrester, who seemed to really shake things up for Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Kim Matula), and the Forrester family, whenever she was around.

Steffy’s portrayer, the popular Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, left the soap world to pursue many projects including her series on E! Party On and numerous film roles.  While Jacqui has made a few returns since her departure, the actress took to her facebook page to post this message as to the status of her with B&B:

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood: “As much as I love The Bold and The Beautiful and still wanted to be apart of it, unfortunately we weren’t on the same page contractually/scheduling etc. These things happen in this industry and I hope all my fans can understand that. I am a huge supporter of Brad Bell and the entire cast and crew. Love and kisses to all of my fans. I really do care about you all.”

She later followed up after that with another post after receiving an outpouring of support from her fans:  “Hey! If characters can be recast, shot, fall down elevator shafts and come back to life months/years later lol then never say never. XOXO Love u all and will DEFINITELY keep u posted on future projects.”

So, what do you think about Jacqueline’s statements? Sad to know that for the foreseeable future there will be no Steffy as played by MacInnes Wood on the canvas?  Comment below!

I never thought I’d miss the character of Steffy, but her presence is required. I hope Jacqueline and B&B executives are able to hammer out a contract or working status that allows her to appear, even if in a recurring capacity.

This is disappointing because I really like Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. I think she’s great as Steffy, and while the character is sometimes unlikable, I like her way more than Hope right now. I always like her and Liam better than Hope and Liam. And at times, she’s the only one of the “kiddie squad” I could stand. JMI is a very talented young actress. Her scenes when Steffy learned she lost her baby and couldn’t carry again were fantastically acted, and the connection between her and Katie was amazing. JMI should have won an Emmy for those scenes, she was… Read more »

Let’s be honest why would she come back and do the same tired triangle? She received very good advice from her on screen Mom she is young and talented this is the time to make your move if you want to do other things besides soaps.

Truly haven’t missed her. The show has plenty of cast right now for a half hour show.

While I do miss the character, if I was the actress, I wouldn’t comeback to play the same triangle for years on end. The days of keeping young ppl in 5yr contracts are gone, and she is too young and gorgeous to keep playing the same story. Clearly Hope/Liam/Steffy was bound to run as long as Brooke/Ridge/Taylor did, and while the steady paycheck is nice, I don’t blame her for wanting to spread her wings. The actress that plays Ivy, better hope JMW doesn’t comeback, bc if she does, I am sure she will be hitting the unemployment line. JMO.… Read more »

Why have they kept her in the opening credits so long? They’ve made several changes to the credits but have always left her in.

I think she’s asking too much $$$ and more than likely wants out clauses in her contract so she can pursue other things (D.J. etc).

I miss her terribly, and hope she and the execs can come to an agreement on all of this. B&B still needs her, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Good for her, move on, being stuck in a three-way love triangle 5 days a week is not challenging material.

Even though I didn’t like the Steffy character, I loved the actress playing her. She was a fantastic actress. Anyone that can make people a character as much as some people hated Steffy at times has to be a great actress.

Sorry, my typing got ahead of me. That should have been “anyone that can make people hate a character as much as some people hated Steffy at times has to be a great actress.”

It is a shame that Bell is still using her image in the credits…that is so much a lie. I truly doubt that she will be back. A lie. A lie. A lie. What Bell does best. A lie. We are NOT stupid, Bell.

Marcus Coloma On His GH Exit: “I Don’t Know Why That Decision Was Made, But I Don’t Feel Any ill Will and I Didn’t Feel I Got Fired”

This week, GH fans saw Adam Huss returning to the ABC soap opera as Nikolas Cassadine to finish out the rest of the scenes originally intended to be played by Marcus Coloma who ended his three-year run on the show a tad early.

As has been previously reported, Coloma came down with Covid-19 as his final tape days neared, and a decision was made for him to not return to finish off his last run of episodes.

With all the rumors and stances taken by everyone involved, Coloma was the special guest on this week’s episode of the That’s Awesome Podcast hosted by Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson and discussed his departure from the long-running daytime drama series.

Marcus expressed that when he took the role on GH, he was excited to be in that kind of environment (working on a soap opera), and only signed on for three years.  However, as time went by it became more difficult to reconcile leaving when his contract was up, sharing: “You fall in love with the crew and everybody along with it. So, two and a half years in, this decision that was so clear in the beginning is getting complicated.”

The actor added that while, “I knew the end was coming, it wasn’t like GH was saying, ‘Hey, Marcus, we want you to stay.’  There was no negotiation … and all I can say to that is I don’t know why that decision was made, but I don’t feel any ill will and I didn’t feel like I got fired. It just felt like … there was maybe an understanding that I was going to be there for three years. The big surprise is how much it hurt. Even though I knew I was going to leave.”

In the end, Coloma reflected that this may have concluded as it should, adding, “I really do have some big goals and those goals would have never been realized if I would have stayed. That’s not to take anything away from GH because I admire everything about it.”

Watch the episode of That’s Awesome featuring Coloma below.

Then weigh-in, what do you think of Marcus’ thoughts on his exit as GH’s Nikolas Cassadine? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
