James Franco not a teacher yet – Yale Grad School "Mix-up"

So wunderkind, General Hospital’s guest-starring James Franco, artist, actor, student, soaper, cannot yet add to his resume, teacher!  That is right.  After everyone reported, including us at On-Air On-Soaps that  Franco told GMA that he will be teaching a class at Yale this winter, now comes a report that it is indeed not true.

Here is what the Yale Daily News has reported, “Though Franco told Good Morning America earlier this month that he would teach a class at Yale come January, English Department Chair Michael Warner said Franco now calls the story a “mix-up.”

Warner said via emal to the Yale Daily News, “As a grad student in our program, he would not ordinarily teach until his third year. [Franco] was referring to another project: a proposal for a college seminar that did not work out for this year.”

Warner said Franco “evidently” gave the interview before he knew that the seminar was not happening. But, after touching base with Franco, Warner added that the project will instead be developed as an undergrad film production, and Franco will be recruiting students from English, Theater, Music and Film Studies to work on it. “More details will come in the fall,” Warner said, adding in another email, that Franco “wants to help organize a film/theater project that will be produced by Yale undergrads, and will culminate in a series of shows in the spring.”

Well, mistake or not, whatever he does will be fantastic. It’s not in his nature to be involved in anything that wouldn’t be creative and inspiring and intelligent. Hope we all can see the fruits of his labor…..

Jane Elliot Returns to General Hospital This April

Although it was previously announced back in January (during ABC’s TCA Winter Press Tour) that Jane Elliot would be returning to General Hospital, the soap opera and Soap Opera Digest have confirmed that Jane’s first episode back will air next month on April 17th.

While Elliot won’t be a part of the Nurses’ Ball which airs the week of April 3rd, as part of the show’s 60th anniversary episodes, the Daytime Emmy-winning fan favorite will be back in action during the anniversary month and beyond.

As viewers know, Jane originally decided to retire back in 2017, and so Tracy was written off to join Luke Spencer in Europe.  Since that time, Elliot has come back to the show for a few appearances.

The last time we saw Tracy was at the beginning of 2022, when she came home to Port Charles to give the shocking and tragic news that Luke had been killed in a cable car crash.  Tracy eventually went back to Amsterdam, where they had been living, to settle his affairs following his death.

Will Tracy’s return help bring down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) who is believed to be behind Luke’s death? Could Tracy learn Luke is really alive after all? Stay tuned.

So, excited that Jane Elliot’s return to GH is just around the corner? Comment below.
