Jess Walton Returns to ‘The Young and the Restless’ and What’s Ahead Next Week in Genoa City
Next week on all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless, Jess Walton (Jill Foster Abbott) appears on-screen when she shares scenes with her on-screen “sons,” Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). As viewers know, Billy is still reeling from the fact that Jill did not put him in charge of Chancellor Industries quite some time ago.
Now back in Genoa City, Jill returns to settle things once and for all with Billy and Cane, when she visits Cane’s train car, which eventually will lead to a showdown between mother and son. Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) is setting up Cane for a fall and Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) make plans to visit Noah out west, which means the debut of Lucas Adams as the recast Newman son is happening very shortly.
Jess Walton had made sporadic appearances on Y&R over the last few years, and more recently would appear via video on a computer screens to keep the story moving forward in regards to the running of her company and more.

Such a shame used to love Jill but every time she returns whether on a FaceTime or in person visit she treats Billy like garbage! It’s a hard watch no thanks I’ll pass
Love Jill / Jess Walton. Always happy to see her, wish it were more often.
Lokk forward to seeing her first scenes with Billy Flynn, who I am loving more and more – hated Cane previously.
Never a Jill fan but she really is written stupid and to favor a con man over your own son but the character of Billy is not even the same since Miller left and now this Bully Flynn portraying Cane is a disaster so go ahead hire tons of actors to try to draw a audience it is vomiting inducing .
Billy has had MANY opportunities to succeed, but he allows his greed and need for revenge to get in the way. How many good women has he allowed to slip through his fingers because his need for power was greater than his love for them? Sally should wise up!

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Preview: Phyllis Helps Matt to Freedom, Nick Has a Setback, Cane Gets His Shot at Love with Lily

Next week on The Young and the Restless, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) tries to deal with her seeming new reality of being blind, when things take yet another unexpected turn. Will Nikki get her sight back in full and it was only temporary blindness post-procedure? Can she and Victor (Eric Braeden) finally put everything behind them and be happy with each other once again? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) is itching for pills as his addiction is not under control, and after seeing Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Matt (Roger Howarth) kissing, it sent him over the edge. Can he control his dependency? Doesn’t look like it especially by the end of next week.
Speaking of Phyllis and Matt, in the Y&R video teaser for the action on episodes airing July 27 – July 31, Phyllis has somehow pulled the ankle monitor off of Matt’s ankle. “We did it. We got it off. You’re free as a bird,” proclaims Phyllis.

PHYLLIS KNOWS HOW NICK FEELS ABOUT MATT, BUT IT SEEMS SHE WON’T PUT ON THE BRAKES
Now comes the question; without having Victor’s monitoring system in place, will Matt hightail it out of Genoa City… or stay put and continue to test this potential romance with Phyllis,? If so, Matt could certainly amnesia or not, get under Nick’s skin in the worst and most lethal way.
Cane (Billy Flynn) is feeling the renewed interest from his ex-wife Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). In the Y&R video teaser, he says to her, “You made me CEO of Chancellor, and now you’ve invited me over. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were starting to like me.” Lily coyly gives a smile, but clearly a potential rendezvous may be forthcoming. Is a “Lane” reunion in the works, finally?
Abby is back when Melissa Ordway makes a return to the CBS soap opera. Daniel (Michael Graziadei) comes upon Abby and says, “You look like you could use a friend. Settle for me?” Recently, Devon’s (Bryton James) mood swings have caused trouble in her relationship and she breaks down in tears. Abby and Daniel once were an item. If Devon found out that Daniel was there to comfort Abby, would he have another mood swing and take it out on Abby?
Take a look at the official Y&R spoilers for the week of July 27-31 below.

Now weigh-in: What do you think will happen with the state of Nikki’s eyesight and her relationship with Victor? Do you want Cane and Lily back together? Are you down with Phyllis and Matt as a couple, or do you want them to end now, especially because Phyllis seems to have no respect for her past with Nick in this instance.
