The Bold and the Beautiful has some big plans for the canvas shortly after the series celebrates its 25th Anniversary this March.  TV Guide revealed today that Joanna Johnson, who originally appeared on the series as Caroline Spencer, who then later appeared as her twin sister, Karen, is set for a return and also to help usher in a new character!

The new character is Karen’s never talked about before daughter, named Caroline, named after her late sister! Caroline will be played by soap newcomer Linsey Godfrey.

In story,  the young Caroline is a twentysomething design student who is hoping to land a job at Forrester Creations. Karen brings her to L.A. for the interview.

According to TV Guide, if you are trying to figure out who the young Caroline’s bio-dad is, it’s not Ridge! A B&B rep revealed that Caroline — who uses the last name of Spencer — is not related by blood to anyone on B&B which makes her available to all the show’s young men.”

So who do you think Caroline will get romantically entangled with? Let us know! Look for Joanna and Linsey to hit the airwaves on March 27th!

Um, wouldn’t Caroline be related to Liam, being half-cousins and all? I know GL already went there, but enough with the incestuous like relationships already, B&B!

Oh good. Can we fold her into the mess that is Liam-Hope-Steffy-Bill-Thomas-Oliver-whoever? Whatever!

I am pleased to see Karen back and wish she would stay. I think an ongoing sibs relationship (Karen and Bill) would really make things interesting in LA and allow for some new plots that do not involve quickie marriages and over-the-top stunts (mistaken sex, hallucinogenic berries, or gondolas!). If we are bidding adieu to the Marones, then make good use of the Spencers, please.

B&B rep needs to remember that Bill will be her uncle and Liam her cousin.

Karen never had a relationship with Ridge she did with Thorne and Connor Davis. She would be Liam’s cousin. Of course there never was a Bill Spencer Jr. either Don Diamont’s character. He gets these young actors cheap I juat rill my eyes still have not watched in months.

Ashton Arbab Says Farewell To General Hospital: “It Was Such An Honor To Have Worked Alongside Of Such Talented Actors”

Yesterday, viewers of General Hospitals witnessed that as a result of the bomb explosion at the Floating Rib; it meant the end of the road for a couple of characters.  One of those was Dev, and thus ends Ashton Arbab’s over two-year run in the role.

In key scenes, Dev dies in the ambulance ride to the hospital and thanks Sonny (Maurice Benard) for making him a part of the family and tells Sonny to tell Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that he is sorry.  Will Sonny recall what Dev said and pass that on to Joss? Will anyone figure out Dev’s duplicity in keeping Joss and Cameron (William Burton) apart? Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Ashton took to Twitter on Tuesday and shared these words of praise and ‘thank you’ for his time on the ABC daytime drama series.

Arbab expressed: “I am forever grateful to Producer Frank Valentini and Mark Teschner (casting director, GH) for this amazing opportunity. It was such an honor to have worked along side of such talented actors and I’m beyond blessed for your friendship. Most of all thank you General Hospital fans.”
