Jon Lindstrom Returns to ‘General Hospital’ After a Year Away as Kevin Collins
Finally, Jon Lindstrom is coming home to General Hospital for a visit, beginning with tomorrow’s Tuesday, December 2nd, literally a year since he last played the role on the ABC soap opera. Currently, Lindstrom can be seen as Joey Armstrong on CBS Daytime’s Beyond the Gates.
On the timing of his return to tape all-new episodes of GH, and reprise the role of Laura’s (Genie Francis) MIA husband, especially during her most trying of times (being framed for the murder of Professor Henry Dalton), Lindstrom told TV Insider, “It’s just been difficult to find the time.” As viewers know, Beyond the Gates shoots in Atlanta, while GH tapes in Los Angeles.
As for his decision to concentrate on his role as bad guy Joey Armstrong on Beyond the Gates, Lindstrom shared. “In all fairness to me, it had whittled down to about one or two shows a month (on GH), so Kevin had been fairly inactive for a long time.”

Lindstrom detailed his conversation with GH executive producer, Frank Valentini when he decided to head to Atlanta,“When I called Frank to tell him that I would be going to do Beyond the Gates on Election Day 2024, he asked me, ‘Can you do both?’”
The Daytime Emmy-nominated actor added, “I said, ‘Well, technically, yes, because I’m not under contract. The only stickler is that they’re 2,000 miles apart.’ So, there were just logistical problems along the way over the last year where they would reach out every now and again and ask if I was available for one episode or another episode in the middle of a week, and that’s impossible for me to do from out here because Gates takes up a lot of my time.”
However, eventually GH worked out a way to consolidate Kevin’s on-air return. Lindstrom explained that the show came to him and proposed a solution. ‘What if we stack a bunch of shows up over a couple of days? Will that be worth your while to make the trip out?’” Jon recalled, “And the short answer is, ‘Yes, of course.’ Besides, I think Genie Francis is getting tired of talking to a disembodied Kevin on the phone.”
In story, Kevin finds out that his wife, turned to one of his least favorite people, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), when Professor Dalton’s body was found dead in the trunk of her car. Lindstrom had high praise for Francis, “Genie, who never slouches, never walks through a scene, is just terrific in this story.”
So, looking forward to the return of Jon Lindstrom as Kevin Collins on General Hospital? Do you hope he can work it out to return more often to the ABC soap, while he works most of the time in Atlanta as mobster Joey Armstrong on Beyond the Gates? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
Yes, yes and yes! It’s great watching him on The Gates, but he’s been missed on GH. Hope it will work out to see him do both shows!
Doing my best Catherine O’Hara from “Home Alone”… KEVIN!
An even longer gap… we saw Leo (with a big growth spurt) for the first time in 18 months on Monday.
I won’t hold my breath to see Scotty though.
Probably for the best re Scotty. Not only did KS have surgery in real life, I think his online schtick likely wouldn’t sit well with TPTB
Ha ha ha! Kevin was a sight for sore eyes. Damn, he’s been missed.
So thrilled that Kevin is coming back on screen. Welcome home Jon. You have been missed.
He has been much missed. Willow needs a shrink.
I think that it’s great when shows, on competing networks no less, juggle their schedules to share the talent that is out there. Kudos to GH for helping this happen!
I doubt very seriously that Jon will return back to GH. I’m not a fan of Beyond so therefore I’m not watching him. Beyond doesn’t do anything for me. I do keep up with all of the other soaps. And I do miss him but hopefully they will bring Scotty back for Laura’s love interest because Jon won’t be coming back. I really don’t understand why you won’t keep Laura’s man with her permanently.
We get it. You don’t like Beyond the Gates.
Glad they could work things out. Laura seemed reduced to her office while her husband and grandson were in limbo land at her home.
GH should have used him more. Glad hes back for a few shows.
Where is Ace or where has he been all this time?
And why does he look absolutely nothing like either one of his alleged parents?
Also…is the poor kid ever going to get an actual name?
It’s a bit off, but many kids start out as blond then darken as they approach 8-10. Both grandmothers (Laura and Heather) have blond hair as well as great grandmother Helena.
I think he should go back to GH. I don’t his role on BTG is befitting for this soap. His role seems out of place for such an upscale soap.
Huh? I have no idea what you are trying to say. That said, Jon seems to be shining in his role in Beyond the Gates and the truth is GH seldom used his great talents. GH’s loss is BTG’s gain. At least he’s appreciated there. He deserves it.
His storyline on BTG is WAY juicier and they are actively using him as a leading man, in story and love scenes. You can tell he thoroughly enjoys playing Joey. GH barely used Kevin so I dont blame him.
I am so glad to see keven back.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Previews His New Role as PCPD Officer Joe Fitzpatrick
Those expecting Jonathan Bennett’s new General Hospital character of Joe Fitzpatrick to be the latest doctor to arrive in Port Charles. Think again! When Joe arrives on the scene he will be an officer with the Port Charles Police Department (PCPD).
That might be good news for the police force, who has had a lot of trouble (pretty much always!) solving cases, and with Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) pretending to be cop, Nathan West, and Chase (Josh Swickard) working his back up the ranks, police commissioner, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) who could use a some helping hands, unless they are corrupt?
In the latest issue of TV Guide Magazine on newsstands now, Bennett shares a little more insight into what we can expect from Joe, when he first gets into the mix. You can circle next Monday, May 18 for the actor’s GH debut.
THE MYSTERY OF JOE
“Returning to daytime television was not on my bingo card for 2026.(However) I feel like I hit the jackpot when this opportunity came because the character is something that I really wanted to play.”
As soap fans know, Jonathan started his career on All My Children as JR Chandler from 2001-2002. Since that time Bennett went to fame with the motion picture Mean Girls, playing Aaron Samuels then continued on a path acting and producing and hosting where he had become a mainstay on the Hallmark Channel and Food Network. Bennett’s Hallmark reality-competition series, Finding Mr. Christmas was just nominated for three Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Speaking on GH’s Joe and the PCPD, Bennett teased, “I’m feeling excited, and I’m also laughing because I can’t wait for the world to see what Joe Fitzpatrick is really all about.”
Could Joe Fitzpatrick be a closeted cop? An out cop? Neither? Will he be a good guy who might help crack the case of who shot Drew and help Willow get her comeuppance? Will he be investigating the shenanigans that might lead him into the path of Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis)? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Mistakes and Cover-Ups Impact the Lives of Drew, Nina, Dante and Brennan
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, several residents of Port Charles are reeling from their actions in the just released GH video spoilers for the week of May 11-15!
First, Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) confesses to Portia (Brook Kerr) that he is a suspect as the other driver who was involved in Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) car accident that disfigured her face. But as viewers know, Curtis (Donnell Turner) is the one after a talk with Portia that pointed Justine (Nazeen Contractor) towards Isaiah. But is the culprit really Isaiah, or is it Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), or is Jordan solely at fault for taking her eyes off the road to kiss Curtis?
Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) armed with the information that Rocco (Finn Carr) shot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), confronts his ex-wife Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) at her home. An angry Dante says, “You know it was Rocco who shot Cullum. Why wouldn’t you tell me?” Lulu admits it was Rocco, but how is she going to explain why she kept Rocco’s father out of the loop?

Then, in the exciting pick-up from Friday’s cliffhanger, Nina (Cynthia Watros) is in a continued panic as now Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) finds himself at the hospital looking unconscious and hooked up to machines. In addition, back at Drew’s house, now that Drew (Cameron Mathison) did not receive his dose of medication to keep him in a locked-in state (since Nina jabbed Jack with it), he is starting to show signs of life and is moving his fingers to try to dial the phone for help.
Later, a series of images are set agains the statement by Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who says, “We have a mess on our hands.” Sidwell is the one supplying Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with the drug to keep Drew paralyzed and unable to speak. Now that Jack got a dose, how can they control what happens next, and what will Willow do when she finds out that Nina gave Jack the medication meant for Drew? Stay tuned.

‘General Hospital’s’ Asher Antonyzyn Teases When Danny Finds Out Rocco Shot Cullum and Jason Took the Blame, Relationship Status with Charlotte
On General Hospital, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) cannot just sit idly by why his father, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was dragged away by the WSB for shooting WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). As Danny one day will find out, it was Rocco (Finn Carr), his brother, who did the deed, and Jason covered for Rocco to protect him. Thus, Danny feels all alone in this world without his dad.
In addition and in recent scenes, GH viewers saw that Danny is considering and wanting to get into the mafia like his dad. He had gone to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) about it and wound up in a conversation with Ric (Rick Hearst) and Sonny. Afterwards, he overheard the men talking about Sidwell (Carlo Rota). So, Danny knows that Sidwell had something to do with Jason disappearing too.
On Sunday, Asher Antonyzyn joined his TV dad, Steve Burton and Burton’s That’s Awesome Podcast partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) for an all-new episode, where the young actor was able to articulate his feelings and thoughts on Danny’s current emotional state and situation in Port Charles while his dad has been taken away to who knows where.

Photo: ABC
MY BROTHER, MY FATHER
When asked how Danny will feel when he learns Rocco was the person who shot Cullum, and who is dad took the fall for, Antonyzyn shared, “Danny still doesn’t know that it was Rocco who shot Cullum and and all that. He still thinks, ‘Why would my dad do this (and shoot Cullum)?” Then, they take him away. When he does find out, I think he’s going to be pretty upset that his dad is being wrongfully accused, and that this entire time Rocco has just been watching Danny struggle through it all and he hasn’t said anything. I’m super glad Danny and Rocco are eventually going to go at it. They’ve been like brothers and they are so close to each other. I’m excited that they will get a little conflict with each other.”
Asher also also shared Danny’s impulsive nature is a big part of the story. “Right now, I think it’s about the anger that his dad was the only person he kind of had left. In the stuff that will be coming out soon, it seems that his dad’s the only person he can trust. So, he’s just missing that relationship and seeing Rocco with his family, and Charlotte with her family, and just all of that. He is just really upset that his dad was wrongfully taken from him.”
JOINING THE MOB
The young actor also explained, because of Danny’s upset, it’s what drove him to wanting in on the mob. “Danny went to Sonny and Rick not knowing where to start, as he was just so angry. He just wanted ammunition, ans he just wanted to do something”. Asher added, “Danny just couldn’t just stand there anymore. So, I think him hearing the name “Sidwell” gives him like a target to try and do something to get his dad back, just so he feels like he’s doing something.”

Photo: ABC
One of the hot topics on social media a few months back occurred when Charlotte and Danny (Bluesy Burke) shared a kiss. Fans were screaming how they were related. Well, it seems from Asher’s comments, that entire potential romance had been sidelined.
CHARLOTTE AND DANNY BESTIES FOR NOW?
“There was for a hot second (something between them). Danny and Charlotte had those scenes together,” Asher stated. “They (Charlotte and Danny) really didn’t really know how to go about it. I mean, Danny talked to his grandma and his dad about if they were related and they said “distant cousins” like great grandfathers, great-great grandfathers, but at the end of the day, still related a little bit.”
Antonyzyn clarified where Charlotte and Danny are with each other, as of now. “So after that, they had one scene together and they’ve kind of realized that it’a like a Jason and Carly (Laura Wright) relationship where they have so much love for each other that they don’t feel like it’s right to go into something like that again.”
You can catch the full conversation with Asher, Steve and Bradford below.
Now let us know, what do you think Danny will do with the intel when he finds out that Rocco shot Cullum and his dad took the fall for it? Are you glad it seems that Charlotte and Danny seem to be no longer a romantic young teen romance? Do you think Danny will go after Sidwell, and get entrenched at Wyndemere?
