You remember the tawk of the multi-generational musical drama about America’s first family of country music that was supposed to air in January?  Well, eventually due to Covid-19, the plans for its debut got scrapped from a two-night premiere set for Sunday, January 30 as a midseason replacement and kicked back to the fall.

Now, Fox has confirmed that Monarch is indeed on their fall schedule during its annual Upfront presentation on Monday.

The soapy series stars Oscar winner, Susan Sarandon as the Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrall Roman, and her husband Albie Roman played by country singer, Trace Adkins.

In story, Dottie and Albie have created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicky Roman played by Anna Friel, will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom.

No word yet from Fox on what night of the week Monarch will land on the full fall schedule.  Stay tuned.

Days of our Lives and Supernatural star, Jensen Ackles, has signed a reportedly one-year deal to join the cast of ABC’s drama, Big Sky.

Ackles who will guest-star in the season two finale on May 19th has also signed on to continue his role of Beau Arlen, the confident and charming good ol’ boy from Texas who steps in as temporary Sheriff in the murderous town, for the show’s upcoming third season.

The David E. Kelly series stars Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick.  Deadline broke the casting news of Ackles.

As for Ackles, DAYS fan remember him as Eric Brady (1997-2000), and Supernatural fans loved him as Dean Winchester (2005-2020).  The actor/producer has been one busy man with his show the The Winchesters set for series at the CW and another one in development a DC project with Greg Berlanti.

One of the most highly-anticipated drama series coming to Netflix drops today on Friday, May 13th, and it features a former cast member of The Young and the Restless. 

Michael Graziadei (Ex-Daniel) is part of the ensemble cast in this show based off the 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey.

In The Lincoln Lawyer, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo takes on the leading role of defense attorney Mickey Haller, who works out of his SUV.

In story, Mickey has been out of practicing law for over a year after a near-fatal surfing accident that left him with an opioid addiction and he has been forced back into practice for a murder trial.  Enter his opposition in the court room is the form of the prosecutor in the case, Jeff Golantz, played by Graziadei,  Neve Campbell, Becki Newton and Christopher Gorham also star.

The stars of the show, including Graziadei, stepped out for the red carpet premiere where Michael shared some pics on his Instagram expressing: “Well this was a fun night…. Incredible time with the talented cast and crew that helped to bring this show to life. The pilot looks amazing and I can’t wait to binge the rest of the season… coming in hot… Friday May 13th”
