Kelsey Wang Joins the Cast of The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless has added actress Kelsey Wang to their acting ensemble. Wang has been cast in the role of “Allie”, who the show teases is a ‘mysterious, young professional who catches the eye of one of Genoa City’s eligible bachelors.’
Wang also has appeared on General Hospital in the role of “Daisy Kwan”. Her other credits include: Netflix’s Daredevil, the dual language pilot, Journey to the East, and Chimerica, which made its U.S. premiere at the Studio Theater in Washington, D.C.
Look for Kelsey to debut on the Thursday, March 10th episode of the CBS daytime dramas series.
Now the question is; could Allie’s emergence on the canvas be tied to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) new story?
On Monday’s episode of Y&R, Jack and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) discussed a key text message location that said “Hao Nguyen.” Jack mentions his ex-wife Luan’s maiden name was Nyguyen and her father’s name was Hao. He says this can’t be the same person and is shocked.
All of this came after the mysterious text Jack received that mentioned there is ‘something he has been looking for in Los Angeles’. Now, Phyllis speculates that the message could be from his son with Luan … Keemo! Could Allie also be part of this story? Stay tuned.
So, who do you think Kelsey will become romantically involved with from the eligible men in Genoa City? Share your thoughts below.
This is great! This actress was on GH and was very good. She is pretty and is a good actress. Maybe she is related to Jack? Maybe a possible Nick romance?
She would be Noah’s age.
Why is the show revisiting this story when Peter Bergman hated the original story all of those years ago? Makes absolutely no sense to me.
Just because she’s Asian-American doesn’t mean she has to be related to Jack, and no one has said that’s what her story will be. I mean, knowing the lazy writing at Y&R there’s a good chance she will be his granddaughter or some other relation. But there’s also a chance she’s just someone new in town who happens to have Asian heritage.
It does make sense, Michael…they want to make sure to keep the show boring the way it’s been for quite a while now and this is the best way to do it…I remember all the yawning I did when that story was going on years ago.
My thoughts exactly, James. They must have a deal with No-Doze.
Boys that’s for sure, and I don’t expect anything different in this generation.
And Peter Bergman s feelings on the writing matter? You mean he actually gets to do something besides twiddling his fingers awkwardly when he walks in a room and gives sage advice?
Pls. Was Sharon Case jumping up and down when she found out LML that horrible writer was killing off Brad who she was hot and heavy at the time and putting her with a man twice her age Jack? Or even better when she married her father in law Victor? Gross. Actors feelings shouldnt dictate story.
What doesnt make sense is how Josh Griffith still has a job!
Hopefully it’s Noah so we can finally see a smile on his face.
No Noah! Give her a chance to act her part ( whatever that might be) I really don’t see where she will fit in…but, give Aunt Tracie to connect with someone in the family! Also, if she have a career, maybe a job at jabot or with Nick at Hope! Looking forward to see if her Mother will be joining the case as well?✅
Hooray, she looks “young” and sounds “restless.” So hopefully will help kick some life into this moribund show.
Good! A possible love interest for Noah, the lovelorn puppy dog! He can stop mooning over his sister’s fiancé.
It would be far more interesting if it were his son than a grandchildl
matthew
I think he’d be too old by now and Keemo is way older than Kyle.
I enjoyed the storyline of Keemo but I know PB hated it ! I would say she might be the granddaughter to Jack ! This could be a fantastic storyline and her mixing up with Noah who has so much potential but they have given him nothing to work with /but then we are talking about JG who just can’t write ! Ugh
Noah. She will probably turn out to be Jack’s daughter.
Too young to be his daughter. The man is in his sixtys.
Just when I think no one’s on the ball anymore at Y&R, this happens. Can someone please tell me why?
I remember her from GH,certainly sounds like she’ll be involved with Noah which may finally get him something to do besides mope around after Tessa
Granddaughter to Jack is likely as Keemo by now would be pushing 50. I found it odd that whole storyline was forgotten as if nothing ever happened. Keemo is an Abbot and the family could use a boost.
I think it’s pretty obvious that this young girl is Jack’s granddaughter and we won’t have to watch Noah hopelessly pining after a lesbian, wonderful gal that she is but he’s got to realize it was never meant to be.
“pining after a lesbian”: funny line, Violet. We’ve all been there. 🙂
Yep, even a Devil knows the pain of falling for the wrong succubus now and then.
Hey Violet. It’s akin to watching Pepe Le Pew pine after a cat.
O.K guys, thanks for the responses, but Harry, yours really stinks!
Ironically, for a while there it looked like she might have been a lesbian on GH… since it appeared they were going to pair her up with Kristina. I think they would have made a cute couple… but instead all we got was that Dawn of the Dead cult stupidity that just dragged on and on and on… and in reality hasn’t even ended yet, given the whole Willow birth certificate nonsense.
And poor Daisy didn’t even stick around for the whole story.
I vote Nick all day long!
Faire
Voting him for what??
She will be Keemo’s daughter and she will be Noah’s new love interest.
Maybe Allie is the past love of Noah from his time in London, for we don’t know anything about that heartbreak other than it devastated Noah. Regardless, I do think that she will have a significant storyline with Noah, which would be great so that he can get over his feelings for Tessa. And it would be interesting if she is connected to Jack’s son Keemo, possibly his daughter. Nguyen is one of the most common last names from Vietnam lineage.
Oh interesting theory, Margarita. I think
You might be on to something.
I think she is Keemo’s daughter—ergo, Jack’s granddaughter.
While I respect introducing this beautiful girl, I ask —why now? My memory of Keemo is foggy, but I have been mentioning the complete disregard of his existence, off and on, because my grandmother keeps lamenting, ” I wonder what happened to Keemo!”…LOL.
She had really taken a liking to him and still talks about him and his mother, Luan.
I find Jack’s excuse ( thanks to these aggravating writers) sort of lame—seriously? Your son has cut all ties with you?A parent who loves his/her child would never give up making amends that easily. Keemo is never discussed or mentioned by family members. Is the subject tabu? Why hasn’t his name ever come up? If it did, it must have been in passing because I missed it,
What’s the strategy? Well, whatever it is, I welcome any new story other than what we have now—such torture to watch—which I skip most of the time.
Thiis revolting ‘sick’ baby trend is becoming an obsession with these writers—do they think they are eliciting pity by creating trauma and drama? For whom? It ain’t working—–I can’t take Abby and Lance ( worst actor ever)—he and Abby have no connection—no vibe—no sparks!! Zilch!! Frankly, none of them does.
Now, if we could only get Ronan back —oh, yeah–we will definitely see sparks with him and Phyllis.
Right there with you Celia. When someone has a bone marrow transplant, they need to be in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit in the hospital for a minimum of 6 weeks wince their immune system is completely shot in order to not reject the bone marrow. There is no way that baby would be home right now! And yes, to Ronan returns. That’s the only way I will be able to tolerate Phyllis, for she drives me insane.
Exactly, Margherita—We all know it’s a soap—but as it is my wont to say—-throw a little reality into the mix. These writers keep stepping on their own toes, then go to “lunch” ( part of Soaphound’s amazing precis), while we get the bone. If I want to watch “Fantasy”, I can switch on Netflix.
Ronan, Ronan, Ronan—where art thou, Ronan—-other than Michelle Stafford, I doubt we will get a more explosive chemical reaction with anyone else—I felt their heat. LOL.
We disagree on one thing. I love Michelle as Phyllis ….-my favorite, she is!! But, that’s OK—-it makes for a good debate. LOL.
In other news, Devon consults with Dr.Nat on a medical trial which will help Devon develop lactation ducts so he can breast feed Baby Chancellor- Newman-Abbott-Winters. Stay tuned for Devon starring in the role made famous by Rebecca de Mornary, The Hand that Rocks the cradle.
Oh Harry, just what we need…ANOTHER Devon story. Next to feeding his own child, maybe he can also self reproduce! This sordid tale has gone on so long, Dom should be ready for college by this summer. And Chance’s hair will remain looking like the entry to King Solomon’s Mines.
Oh Celia, can you imagine the “think-tank” meeting on this decision? Something like this:
EXECUTIVE #1: “Let’s see, we have all these available, brilliant, beautiful actors playing Kevin, Gloria, Lauren, Traci, Ashley, Paul, Esther, Jill. Instead, let’s bring in ANOTHER character we won’t know what to do with, except pawn her off on Noah. Yeah, yeah, whaddaya think? Oh, and lots more CHABON (Chance/Abby/Devon) because our contract with No-Doze is up for renewal.”
EXECUTIVES #2 thru #29: “Fine. Where’s lunch?”
HaHaHa, Soaphound—Bull’s eye!!!! Execs#1 thru #29 have such vision, no?—-they just know how to employ the right “ingredients” to “monotonyville” while boring the living caca out of the viewer!!
So, I hear that Kyle and Summer are being recast. Hmmmm—-makes me wonder if an imbroglio is in the making—Kyle versus Keemo ( or vice versa)—sibling rivalry—except that Kyle is young enough to be his brother’s son…..better yet, Keemo’s daughter ( maybe?) and Summer will sharpen their finger nails, at the ready, for a cat-fight? Perhaps, I shall be the scribe and propose a plot-line—-with spice!!LOL
I can’t keep up—-why? No planned strategy. As you suggest—a complete debacle where these execs are impervious to the actors’ lack of skill; to the repetetive plots; to the humdrum platitudes thrown at us.
They write for the sake of penning a line without much given thought behind it, except—“Fine. Where’s lunch?”
Another much ado about nothing . She will be stuck in story purgatory or even better if the viewers arent excited enough with all the going ons she’ll share screen time with Devon, Abby, Mariah and Tessa! Yayyyyy!!!
I think she will appear as Kemo’s wife. Maybe she is reaching out to Jack in hopes that he will visit and a reconciliation will happen between Jack and his son.
Allie will be Jack’s granddaughter, and it’s about time!!! He could have 3 grandchildren!!
Noah’s the target.
Gosh, they haven’t even started this lousy SL yet and I’m F.F all these Abbott and Phyllis scenes. I could care if Jack has a long lost G.D who evidently is filled with possibly inherited pain, hate and animosity towards Jack and his family, and as everyone is predicting, poor Noah will probably try helping her out, and the rest will be history some day.
So right, VIOLET..I’m glad you said it because I was starting to feel guilty for not liking yet another new story. Seeing Traci was the only bright spot for me. And Jack, though bereaved, is acting like Bambi, scared of his own shadow. Oops, does that make Traci & Phyllis into Flower and Thumper? Yikes!
Soaphound
I think maybe I spoke too soon regarding Jack’s probable granddaughter. Iam so sick of seeing sad-sack Noah strolling into C.L and getting the third degree from his mother and or father about his nightlife or life in general. I don’t know why he puts up with them constantly in his business. How much you wanna bet they will be sticking their noses in when he starts showing interest in this girl?
Also, hope this Allie isn’t as whiney and desperate as the one on Days.

NOAH IS INTRODUCED
Next, Noah comes to Garland Memorial Hospital looking for his dad, and runs into Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix), who knew exactly who he was and brings him to see Kial, who is surprised to see his son in town.
Noah needs money and Kial won’t pay it, unless he takes a job to pay for music career right here in the DC/Maryland area. Kial tells his son, Atlanta and New York City aren’t that far away if he gets a gig. So, Noah agrees to apply for the job at the free clinic, which Kial will help push through and in return he will get him some cash. Noah is then going to crash at Kial’s place and Kial will go stay with Nicole.
Nick Hagelin is an Atlanta-based performer which is where Beyond the Gates is taped. Previously, Hagelin was in the Top 9 on NBCs The Voice, and has a band in Atlanta called The Fantasy Exchange. Nick also writes and produces for other artists and has had his original music featured on the series, FX Atlanta and Saturday Night Live.
As a ballet dancer, Nick trained at the prestigious School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center in New York City and he has performed with the American Ballet, plus Carolina Ballet, The Kirov, Atlanta Opera, and the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Hagelin’s acting credits include the Indie film, Exit Interviews starring OLTL favorite Tuc Watkins (ex-David Vickers), Max’s Sweet Magnolias, The Hunting Wives and many more.
GREG VAUGHAN GONE FROM BEYOND THE GATES?
The addition of Kial’s son to the canvas left many fans wondering if Greg Vaughan has already left the show or was his recent Instagram message about something else entirely. Beyond the Gates tapes over four months ahead of episodes airing on CBS.
Vaughan’s post shared, “My heart is full. My purpose is just getting started. I’m grateful for my life, my family, the people who consistently show up, and the lessons that shaped me. Every challenge has become preparation. Every blessing has become perspective… I’m simply grateful for how far God has brought me, and excited for everything that’s still ahead.”
Greg concluded: “Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my journey. Family. Friends. Fans. Colleagues. Your encouragement has meant more than you know. Here’s to the next chapter.”
Friends and colleagues jumped into Vaughan’s comment thread including: Robert Christopher Riley who plays Carlton on Beyond the Gates who shared, “Love and miss ya buddy,” fueling speculation that Vaughan is no longer on the CBS soap.
So, what did you think of the on-screen debut of Nick Hagelin as Noah Rollins? Intrigued to see more? Do you think from Greg Vaughan’s message that he is no longer on Beyond the Gates? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
