While she is now playing Jackie Templeton on General Hospital, longtime All My Children and NYPD Blue favorite, Kim Delaney has also landed a leading role in an upcoming Lifetime movie as part of their winter, “Ripped from the Headlines” line-up.

According to Deadline, Delaney will star in The Long Island Serial Killer:  A Mother’s Hunt for Justice,  The movie is inspired by the emotional story of Mari Gilbert (Delaney) –  a mother whose daughter’s disappearance led to the discovery of 19 bodies, many of which are believed to have been murdered by an unidentified Long Island serial killer.  The film follows Mari’s pursuit for answers and the truth.

None other than Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville, will executive produce the movie for Lifetime slated for a premiere in the winter of 2021. Norville knows this story well as she covered Gilbert’s journey as an anchor on the syndicated news magazine series.

In a statement, Norville said of the upcoming movie, “Mari Gilbert singlehandedly brought closure to families who never knew what happened to their missing sisters and daughters. To law enforcement, she was ‘just a mom,’ but her tenacity led to the discovery of a serial killer who may still be roaming free. The incomparable Kim Delaney makes the anguish and anger of Mari Gilbert palpable for the viewer. Watching her performance and that of the entire cast is simply thrilling.”

GH’s Carolyn Hennesy Addresses Why She Was Not a Part of Nancy Lee Grahn’s ‘Alexis-Centric’ 25th Anniversary Episode

For the past several weeks, savvy General Hospital fans were wondering why on earth was Alexis’ best friend, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), was not a part of Nancy Lee Grahn’s (Alexis) 25th anniversary episode of the ABC daytime drama series, which centered around Alexis saying goodbye to those near and dear before she goes to Pentonville to serve a prison sentence.

After all, Diane and Alexis have been through so much together, that it seemed like a glaring omission. Was Hennesy not asked back for the episode?  The answer came in the form of Hennesy herself via in a response to a fan’s tweet on her being MIA from the episode.

As it turns out, the ever-busy Hennesy was shooting a film in Atlanta and was not available at the time of the tape date of Grahn’s special episode.

Carolyn tweeted: “Not their fault, my dear. I was off filming on Atlanta!!! Cuz you know Diane wouldn’t have missed it!”  That came in response to this: “Watched the big @NancyLeeGrahn ep of #GH and I’m perplexed that there was no Diane! @carolynhennesy One of the most fun TV female friendships and she wasn’t there to send her off? Come on you guys @GeneralHospital”

Mystery solved! Carolyn would have gladly been at the GH set that day in a heartbeat, if she could have.

So, happy to know that GH did not forget about Diane for the Alexis-Centric episode, but had to work around it? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

General Hospital Stars Participate in GLSEN’s ‘Day of Silence’, Asking You To Do The Same

General Hospital’s Sofia Mattsson, Cynthia Watros, Kathleen Gati, Brook Kerr and Johnny Wactor appear in a video released this morning, where the actors look to camera and remain silent.

It’s all a part of the ongoing initiative from GLSEN and their “Day of Silence” campaign which is  a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ students and allies all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ people in schools.  Every April, students go through the school day without speaking, ending the day with Breaking the Silence rallies and events to share their experiences during the protest and bring attention to ways their schools and communities can become more inclusive.

This year the day is this coming Friday April 23rd.  General Hospital is showing their support of LGBTQ+students and their right to be safe at school and free of verbal harassment, as well.  The video released today supports the organizations action.

Now they ask you to support it as well and make your own, ‘Day of Silence’ video and share it on social media.  Watch General Hospital’s below.

Then let us know, if you stand with GH and their support of GLSEN’s Day of Silence via the comment section.

Kimberly McCullough Gives Clues That Have GH Fans Suspecting She Was Back for John Reilly’s Tribute Episode: “Saw Some Old Friends and Reminisced about an Absent Dear One…”

General Hospital fans began taking note of a couple of tweets sent out by beloved longtime cast member, Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio), over the last 24 hours on the actress-director’s Twitter feed.

First, Kimberly shared: “I did something really cool today that involved wearing make-up and heels all day, which I clearly wasn’t prepared for.”

After that she followed it up with, “Here’s a clue – saw some old friends and reminisced about a dear absent one ….”

If you combine that with the fact that Jackie Zeman also tweeted: “Good day shooting @GeneralHospital I was invited back for a special episode today. As Y’all know I rarely post a selfie but it’s been awhile since I’ve had ‘Bobbie’ hair and makeup done. Thank you Karen, Carl, and Ari. Have a wonderful weekend, Everyone,” it would appear that both McCullough and Zeman were back for the upcoming tribute episode to the late John Reilly, who for many years played Sean Donely.

In story, Robin’s parents, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes) were very close with Sean, as well.  So it all makes sense that Robin would be part of this as well.

So, if this is proven to be true, are you excited to see Kimberly back on a special episode of GH?  Comment below.
