This week, viewers are catching the re-teaming of Lane Davies and Nancy Lee Grahn for the second time on General Hospital and the third time in their careers given their storied history as Santa Barbara’s Mason Capwell and Julia Wainright.

Previously, Nancy and Lane played opposite each other and shares scenes as Dr. Cameron Lewis and Alexis Davis back in 2002 on the ABC daytime drama series. Now in 2024, Davies takes on the role of Fergus Byrne, the brother of the late Neil Byrne, as Alexis tries to get her law license reinstated.

Speaking with TV Insider on his recent return to GH, Davies shared, “I know Nancy was wanting to work with me again. I ran into (former GH head writer) Patrick Mulcahey at (Santa Barbara co-creator) Bridget Dobson’s funeral and we had a lovely lunch together and a lovely visit and I think it was just the synergy of all those things coming together that did it. Patrick saw me and realized that I hadn’t completely deteriorated over the years and thought, ‘Well, this would be fun.”’

Lane also shared he isn’t closing the door for more episodes of General Hospital down the line were the powers-that-be to keep Fergus on the canvas.

The popular actor expressed,,”I would be totally open, but that’s all up to the writers and fans and producers and network people and I’m kind of out of that loop. But if it happens, grand.”

So, would you like to see Lane stick around Port Charles? Comment below.

Great actress can’t stand her she can’t keep her stupid uneducated mouth shut! The fact he would work with her again tells me he is a liser

“Stupid uneducated” with no comma in between; followed by “liser”.

Oh the irony…

Wth your problem she’s a human being she has a right to her opion if you don’t like what she says wgaf this is about lane Davis joining gh not if you like what Nancy who is very smart talks about you must be a trump fanatic all talk

And just because their friends doesn’t make him a loser or that he agrees with her

Bella your Trumpster is showing. Get over it.

Bella, I dont know anything about Nancy’s education or upbringing. She comes off as being and angry person with angry issues. She has an opinion about EVERYTHING and if you dont agree with her, look out!

Definitely not another addiction story
Hopefully Alexis will be back in the courtroom as a lawyer in a new but different story line
Enough with Pikeman
Anna is doing great though with her role

Nancy is not stupid and uneducated, just because she voices her opinions on certain people and issues you apparently don’t agree with. You should read some of Rena Soffers opinions, etc on certain people and issues trying to overcome our civilization as we know it.Some people just keep their mouths shut for fear of being unliked, while others, like Nancy and Rena feel it is their duty to help others see the truth. I for one admire and respect their continued effort.

Lane and Nancy were amazing on Santa Barbara but that still won’t get me near Sonny and the gh noise

With Metro Korte as the head writer now, ain’t know way Alexis is getting any more storylines after this…gotta save all the air time for Snarly now.

Rather ironic he spoke to head writer Patrick Mulcahey about getting some work at GH, and now he’s in and Patrick’s out. I really do feel bad about that. I was so taken aback by the way-too-many and way-too-quick changes Mulcahey made, but the show has been so good this past week that I think they let him go too soon. I’m frustrated that he didn’t pace himself with all he wanted to do which might have cost the show ratings and/or generated a lot of complaints. He should have made changes gradually. But since the news of his being let go the following episodes have been fantastic. I think the show is heads above what it was with the previous writers. Now I fear we’re going to get the same old/same old again. Maybe Valentini should rethink his decision…

For a long time, the problem has been Valentini. HE NEEDS TO GO.
As far as Lane Davies is concerned, wow, he sounds 90! What happened to his wonderful voice?

As for Frank – nobody in daytime can master a budget like him. Criticize the writing or story path, but the show continues to look well with the best sets and lighting in daytime. Last week’s wedding did not feel cheap like some other productions.

Lane is almost 74, so we’ll cut him some slack on his voice. Still has moxie.

My in-laws are upper 80’#, and JB still booms like the texan he is. This is not a normal aging voice. Anyone know if he maybe had throat cancer? Cause kinda sounds like Michael Douglas.

Hey, I’m over 90 and don’t sound like that, he may be hard of hearing, causing some people to speak louder. He wouldn’t interest me, the old fart!

I never saw this actor before; never watched Santa Barbara so I have no idea what he used to sound like. All I know is he sounded fine to me. I didn’t notice any weakness or any indication that he might have had an illness, nor do I think he sounds “90.”

Set you all up said the most out their things you fell for it my only issue with Nancy is why can she say whatever she wants but if someone challenges her we are the bad guy!! By the way I wish we had a young person running for President with new ideas to save this nation but they all get a big pay check and live in la la land. Our founding fathers did not intend for these guys to stay in office become wealthy they were suppose to serve the people they do not do it they serve themselves .

Ooooh! Lane Davies would make a great father for Dex – not his bio Dad – we all know that’s going to end up being Jason eventually.

Davies can be the nasty father whom Dex hated.

There is literally no way that Jason could be Dex’s father. And I doubt they’re going to make Lane Davies play a literal carbon copy of the story he already played out with Xander Smith 20 years ago.

I doubt Dex is related to anybody in Port Charles. Early on, it seemed like they were trying to position him as a Morgan Corinthos recast, but that obviously flew out the window when he started banging Joss.

I can’t buy that. Who would his mother be and the brothers that treated him so badly growing up? They’ were probably adoptive or Foster and what character, especially Jason would give his kid away.

I thought this was about Lane Davies joining GH? After seeing him today in the courtroom, I think he’s a bad choice, unless they change his mean, grizzly demeanor. Ugh! He sure isn’t how I remembered him on SB.

ABSOLUTELY! He and Nancy have an amazing chemistry when they work together. They are exciting to watch please please put him back in the story

‘General Hospital’s’ Chris McKenna On Jack’s Reaction to Carly Cheating On Him with Valentin: ‘Heartbreak and Absolute Rage and Humiliation’

Published

The stage is set for next week on General Hospital, after yesterday’s May 1 cliffhanger, when Brennan (Chris McKenna) sneaks into Carly’s (Laura Wright) house and heads up to her bedroom, bursts in the door and finds her between the sheets, albeit at that moment alone.

However, Jack is already armed with plenty of ammo, he saw two glasses of wine in Carly’s kitchen, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) already lit the fire, by telling him her mother was seeing someone else, the WSB bureau chief then went to visit Carly’s ex, Sonny (Maurice Benard). The mobster’s reaction pretty much sold Jack that Carly must be sleeping with another man.

As Jack goes to check out the situation to confirm his suspicions, Carly and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) have just hit the sheets, after fighting their attraction once again for each other. Now comes the moment of truth that Carly has been sleeping with Brennan’s sworn enemy, Valentin.

In a preview of what’s to come, Soap Opera Digest spoke to both Chris McKenna and Laura Wright where they talked about the upcoming scenes.  McKenna expressed, “This has been coming for such a long time.” He also previews, “Brennan comes at her pretty aggressively.”

THREE’S COMPANY

Wright added, “Carly didn’t expect Brennan to walk into her bedroom! He doesn’t have a key. It’s late at night. She thinks she and Valentin are in the clear. She sees that he’s so angry and so worried about being cheated on… but not that he’s sorry for lying to her face or because her daughter is in danger because of him!”

As to how Jack will handle the situation from here and finding out that Carly is with Valentin, McKenna confirms, to expect, “heartbreak and absolute rage and humiliation” from Jack. He’s thinking, ‘This can’t be real. This can’t have happened. I can’t be this stupid. I can’t have been this blind.’ And as to Jack’s current state of mind, coming into the situation, “Jack is drunk and a little unhinged and the audience finally gets a glimpse of what’s going on underneath that rigid exterior.”

Needless to say, the fallout will be huge, and McKenna is proud of the trios work in the scenes, sharing that Laura Wright was a fantastic as ever, and that GH’s executive producer, Frank Valentini was on the set the entire time with Laura, James and him, making this story point play out to its full effect.

So, are you excited to see how what goes down between Brennan, Carly and Valentin and the fallout? Do you think this will cement Carly and Valentin as a couple, or will Carly regret what she’s done to Jack? Weigh-in on how you hope this all plays out via the comment section below.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

By

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Courtesy/ABC

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
