Lenny Platt put on contract at One Life to Live!

courtesy/ABC

Great news if you are a fan of Nate and Dani and the Ford Brothers of Llanview.  Word today is that talented newcomer, Lenny Platt (Nate Salinger) has been upped to contract status with ABC’s One Life to Live. With John Wesley Shipp set to debut as The Ford boys father, Eddie,  things are going to really take off story wise for Platt and his on-screen family.

In a recent interview with On-Air On-Soaps along with Nic Robuck (James) and David Gregory (Ford), Platt shared his enthusiasm for his all of his co-stars. “First of all, working with Kelley Missal (Dani) is fantastic!  She is incredibly talented and it was easy to hit the ground running with her.  I do want to add that I think I am fortunate to work with two other guys that I have so much chemistry with.  We are playing brothers, and so it’s important for us to get along. It’s important for us to work well on camera, but we hang out outside of work, too. Since we get along well, that can only enhance our performance and that will show on camera, and that bond will be stronger.  I think what is also important to point out is that I have met some wacky actors in my day, and to meet two guys where we see eye to eye professionally and socially, is great! “

I love Nate. I’m happy for him.
I like the Fords minus Bobby.

I think that we could a pairing of Jessica and Bobby down the road, since her baby will be his.

I think they would have more chemisty than Jessica and Brody.

Don’t understand how one person complaining about the Fords makes up the entire majority. More people like the Fords that is why they are putting them all on contract. Really how hard is it going to be to fall in love with those boys. They have good background stories, and they are interesting to watch.

Ebony, I could not agree with you more! I am really looking forward to the father coming to town. The arrival of the Ford family reminds me of when the Buchanan family came to town. Who can forget Asa Parachuting in when he first arrived!

I TOTALLY AGREE. AND I GOTTA SAY. LENNY PLATT IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLE OF NATE SALINGER. AND KELLY MISSAL IS AWESOME. I WISH I COULD MEET HER ONE DAY. SHE’S DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE.

‘Ambitions’ Canceled By OWN After One Season

After an excellent first season of drama and backstabbing, the soapy nighttime Ambitions has been canceled by OWN.

The cable outlet offered up this statement from OWN President, Tina Perry: “We’re thankful to Will Packer, Jamey Giddens and the entire cast and crew of Ambitions for their creativity and hard work on the show. Every week they delivered great drama, intrigue and a lot of fun storytelling.  We look forward to continue working with Will Packer and his talented team of collaborators in the future.”

The series which starred Robin Givens as Stephanie Lancaster Carlisle was hailed as a multigenerational family saga centered around classic soap character, Stephanie, who finds herself going head to head with some of the most powerful and deceitful players in the city of Atlanta and we learn she can play deceitful like nobody’s business … too!

Ambitions was produced by Will Packer Media in association with Lionsgate and Lionsgate-owned distributor Debmar-Mercury. Packer was executive producer. Arkadie was executive producer/showrunner. Writer Jamey Giddens and Will Packer Media’s Sheila Ducksworth also served as executive producers.

Givens took to Instagram and shared her disappointment on the cancellation. “mood 🙁 found out last week #Ambitions wouldn’t be returning for a second season ….”
