Class and grace and one of the best young actresses in Hollywood are just sum of the words we would use to describe the previously Daytime Emmy nominated, Lexi Ainsworth.  Yesterday, the soap world found out that Lexi would not be returning to the role of Kristina Davis when General Hospital brings home Sonny and Alexis’s daughter for summer storylines and beyond.

Lexi took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts on not returning to Port Charles by simply stating, “Thank you guys for all your support but I won’t be reprising the role of Kristina. I loved her but I’ve also loved being free to do film.  I enjoyed meeting Frank Valentini  & I know you will love the new Kristina that he has found.  I learned so much from my GH home & want to grow further.”

Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), Lexi’s former on-screen mom also tweeted yesterday, “I’ll comment on “new” Kristina after Lexi has commented.  I can tell u that Lexi is cool with it. Waiting for Lexi to tell u herself Lexi’s already got offers 4 many primetime projects.  She didn’t want 2 sign contract. & Kristina contract role. IMO she made right decision.  My sweet and brilliant Lexi has commented with class and dignity. Enough said.  In a few years, I will be begging Lexi for a job in a movie as her grandmother.”

We wish Lexi all the best on all her upcoming endeavors and we are sure we will be seeing her on many television and motion pictures projects in the future!

Well she is a Okie girl how could she not be smart! You do know the old saying Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me! I would have had mixed feelings about coming back with the way it was handled and she is young now is the time to branch out. Good Luck!

I REALLY LOVED LEXI AS KRISTINA. SHE’S A WONDERFUL ACTRESS AND WISH HER THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. ALREADY ENJOYED HER ON PRIMETIME A FEW MONTHS AGO. WISHING HER TO HAVE MORE PRIMETIME WORK, AS SHE IS A DOLLBABY. MISS HER, BUT, IF THAT’S WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO, MAY GOD BLESS HER AND KEEP HER SAFE.

Class act & a bright future.

Good for you Lexi! I am glad to know it was your decision, I think that will help some fans accept the new actress. You and Nancy are both class acts and I look forward to seeing your future endeavors. 🙂

I DITTO ON THAT ROBYNNE. SO HAPPY THAT IT WAS HER DECISION. I’M SURE SHE’LL BE JUST FINE, JUST LOOK AT HER AND WATCH HER ACTING, IT’S FANTASTIC.

There we have it, Lexi did not want to come back, and I certainly understand her decision, since she has already moved on, and I wish her much success in her new endeavors. I also wish Lindsey, the new Kristina, much success in her taking over that role. I look forward to the new storylines involving Kristina. It was very nice of Nancy and Lexi to tweet the fans about this – thanks ladies!!!!!!

i wish lexi all the best in her future endeavors……………………………….
i am so glad that she is letting everyone know that she had the opportunity to came back to gh but she chose not to…..

i love lexi but if GH wanted an actress on contract and lexi didn’t then i can understand the shows decision, but like Nancy, i’m team Lexi and as long as she’s ok with it then as a fan i’ll respect that.

Lexi is a true class act! Unlike TPTB at GH and ABC, she wants to keep her fans in the loop. I applaud her candidness and will be a Lexi fan forever!

I’m glad that there has finally been some resolution to the question of whether or not Kristina (and Lexi) would be back.

I wish Lindsey Morgan all the best but I still won’t be watching. GH has never confirmed that Lexi was even let go (ie fired). I can’t support a show that continues to disrespect its viewers.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE WITH NANCY. SHE’LL DO FINE IN HER NEW JOURNEY. SHE’S NOT ONLY A FANTASTIC ACTRESS, BUT, SUCH A CARING YOUNG LADY. SHE’LL GO FAR IN HER FUTURE, AS SHE IS A STRONG ONE. NANCY IS SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON HERSELF WITH ALL THE SAME REASONING ABOUT LEXI, I’M SURE THAT LEXI KNOWS THAT WE ALL LOVE HER AND WISH HER THE BEST, AND HOPE THAT SHE CAN KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HER FANS ON FB, AS WE WANT TO BE SURE THAT HER JOURNEY IS A HAPPY AND SAFE GIG FOR HER. AS ALWAYS, MARY

A class act and a very talented actress!!

Lexi I will miss u forever but u have a great future ahead of u. Thanks for giving ur blessing 2 like the other actress

Lexi is better off not going back to GH.

I can’t wait to see her star shine!

Doesn’t sound like she’s moved on or she wouldn’t even be speaking about GH or the recast. It’s not her role anymore she doesn’t need to tweet about it.

Lexi knows her fans wanted to see her back on the show and she was courteous by keeping us updated.

That’s why she tweeted about it.

She’s better off far far away from GH.

Thanks!

LOL!

I’m a HUGE Lexi Ainsworth fan and can’t wait to see her career blossom!

She will be missed on GH but I think she made the right decision to move forward!

Did they really make much of an effort to ask her back?

Happy late bday lexi . i didnt know but i hope my fav had a great day and a good thanksgiving ahead TTFN

happy bday late bday lexi TTFN

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Take a look at the official GH spoilers for the week below.

MONDAY, AUGUST 3
Jason makes a sacrifice for Danny. Elizabeth becomes privy to a secret. Carly is touched. Valentin has a warning for Nina. Josslyn cautions Brennan.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 4
Brook Lynn and Chase celebrate a milestone. Trina gets an earful. Carly’s plan backfires. Curtis is skeptical. Michael is anxious about his family’s’ future.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5
Sonny wants answers. Ava is struck with inspiration. Curtis’ trial begins. Brook Lynn wrestles with a big decision. Lucy and Serena scheme.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6
Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Check out the latest ABC promo for General Hospital entitled, “What Did You Do?” below.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
