Man Leaves His Estate To Actors He Never Met! One Being EX-Y&R's Peter Barton!

In a bizarre story, Ray Fulk willed his estate to two actors he never met, leaving them an estimated half a million dollars each.  Fulk was 71 when he died last July. He lived alone on a 160-acre property in Lincoln, Ill. that he inherited from his father. He had no family or children.  What Fulk did have was an admiration for actors Kevin Brophy and Peter Barton, whom he had never met. He admired them so much that he left his estate to be split between them.

According to Yahoo! News, Donald Behle, an estate attorney, said he helped prepare Fulk’s will around 1998, and never saw him again. Behle had helped with the estate of Fulk’s father, who died in 1997.

As to why Fulk will his estate to the two actors?   “He just said they were friends of his,” Behle said, who knew they were actors but did not know Fulk had never met them.   Behle is not sure why he considered them friends, but the State Journal-Register newspaper of Springfield, Ill., says he was a fan of their television shows.  Barton is known for his role as Dr. Scott Grainger in the soap opera The Young and the Restless from 1987 to 1993.  Brophy was in the 1977 show Lucan. Fulk had a poster from the show on the wall of his house, according to the State Journal-Register.

Behle is currently overseeing the sale of Fulk’s property, which is appraised at $1,054,000.  After Fulk died, Brophy and Barton received letters informing them of the bequest. The two are friends who had acted in the film Hell Night in 1981. They could not be reached for comment.  Barton actually visited Lincoln and Behle to see if the letter was real, Behle said. “His reaction was disbelief,” Behle said. “What would yours be?”  Behle said he enjoyed meeting Barton and giving him a tour of the property, except for the home.

“His house was an absolute filthy mess. We wore masks when we were in there,” Behle said. The only other bequest he left was to the Anti-Cruelty Society, an animal organization in Chicago. “He loved animals,” Behle said, though he said he doesn’t know if Fulk was affiliated with the organization.

Ok soapers, if you had a will, would you name any of your favorite soap opera stars in it?  And if so, who?  What do you think of the story of Ray Fulk’s decision to leave his estate to Scott Barton and Kevin Brophy?  Weigh-in!

That’s wild, I’m sure those actors are loving this!

That’s way out there.
I wouldn’t name any soap stars in my will – I have children and grandchildren.

Why cant i be so lucky?

Why cant stuff like this happen to me?

I guess Ray didn’t have any relatives he wanted to leave his estate too and maybe these two actors gave him a lot of joy via their performances. I think I would probably leave more to charities than strangers. But I guess Ray felt he knew them in some way. Sure is crazy!

Ray didn’t have any running water and bathed in a creek!!! Okay, he should have used some of his money to add mod cons to his house. I don’t understand people who live in squalor and then when they die you find out they were millionaires. Maybe his money was tied up in his house/land, but he should have sold and bought himself a nice little place.

Nutjob!

I guess Peter was a Boytoy, without having to submit. 😉

LOL…..

w/Cricket “BELL”.

this is neither here nor there….

Bear Salute to all the Hotness in Serials. Woof!

I’ve never had the honour of meeting peter barton, but I’ve heard only nice things about him. I find it insulting to call peter a boy toy. . U are an idiot

No comment…… Lol

Not on your life would I do something like that. My fantasies will never go that deep. Like the lady said: I have my own family to think about………..As sure as the world continue to be in existence there will be stranger things to happen. Nothing ceases to amaze me. Like mom always said: Just keep on living! You ain’t seen nothing yet!

This man must have felt a connection to the shows these actors were on. Shows you watch for a long time tend to make you feel like you know the characters and are part of something. It’s a little sad because the man had no other family. I hope the actors accept the inheritance and do something good with it, even just a portion of the money could set up a trust to help a good cause.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)

As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.

Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew.  In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this!”

In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

Meanwhile, on GH, Drew and Nina (Cynthia Watros) recently had hate-sex. Do you think its a one-time deal? Where will Drew’s story take him next under new head writers, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte? Stay tuned.

There has been lot of soapy projects coming to life and in the works of late, and now comes word that Kim Kardashian is executive producing a new series in development for Netflix called Calabasas.

After a bidding war last week, it looks like Netflix cemented the development deal from Kim, and her producing partners American Horror Story co-star Emma Roberts (pictured below) and Pretty Little Liars creators Marlene King and Alexandra Milchan.

The concept of Calabasas is based on the book If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous By Now by Via Bleidner.  King set to write the adaptation and will serve as the series showrunner.

It’s a place where dreams come true … but not without complications and sometimes unforeseen consequences.”
