The hosts with the mosts have been announced for the 44th Annual Daytime Emmys.  The two handling the duties were announced on Tuesday’s episode of the CBS afternoon series, The Talk.

The nods goes to Mario Lopez, Emmy-award winning syndicated entertainment news show, Extra, and Sheryl Underwood, one of the hosts of the The Talk.

The 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will  take place on Sunday, April 30th, 2017 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Burbank, California.

“The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is happy to announce that two of daytime television’s brightest stars, Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood, will lead the magnificent celebration planned for this year’s 44th Daytime Emmy Awards,” said Bob Mauro, President, NATAS.

“I am thrilled to have one of the most entertaining combinations in daytime television hosting our grand gala at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium,” said David Michaels, SVP, Daytime, (NATAS).

“With their combined wit and charm, plus the excitement of Mary Hart receiving this year’s lifetime achievement award not to mention the stars of the nominated drama, talk, culinary and game shows and a stellar list of presenters to be announced later this week, it promises to be a memorable night for the daytime community.”

Not a team I would choose…

For those in attendance, I propose a drinking game: take a swig every time Underwood throws herself at, or otherwise makes a sexually suggestive comment to, a man on stage or in the audience.

Will the Emmys at least be broadcast live online again this year? I’ve seen no word from anyone on this, which I think is very poor. Keep hyping who is hosting, or who is gonna be at the show, without telling us where we might be able to watch the show. It’s bad enough that it’s not shown on television anymore, but if it’s not at least carried live online then I have absolutely zero interest.

Not much time to find a tv partner or we fans will be shut out again like last year.

What do I think about these hosts? I’m not sure it matters exactly who is hosting the show if it isn’t going to be televised. “Internet streaming” is not what I would call being televised.

Has a network signed on to this? If there has been no announcement by now (with 3 weeks until the broadcast), I’m thinking it is unlikely.

I’m happy for Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood for being the ones that were chosen to host the 44th Annual Daytime Emmys Awards. But would like to know if we the fans are going to be able to have the chance to watch it. I mean it would only be fair.

I can’t believe the Daytime Emmy’s are not televised anymore!!! If nothing else, CBS should do them live on a special episode of the Talk!!!!

I would shoot out all my TV’s, step on my Ipad and flush my I Phone down the toilet BEFORE I would watch one second of Cheryl Underwood dry humping Steve Burton again! She is a horrible choice. Why not Mario and Maria Menounos?

It’s ridiculous that once again no network is carrying this awards show on TV. Those of us who watch daytime TV regularly are left out once again. Come on. Someone out there needs to step up.

B&B’s Annika Noelle Shares Her Heartache on Pregnancy Loss

In a very well-written and touching essay written by The Bold and the Beautiful’s Annika Noelle (Hope), herself, the actress shares with the readers details of two miscarriages that she had not publicly revealed until this time.

In her story for Glamour entitled, “Losing a Child in the Limelight”, Noelle shares the heartache and pain of losing a child while filming the demands of a soap opera, and especially Hope’s storyline which for months featured so much emotion and so many tears after the baby loss storyline on-air she was the vehicle in which to tell the tale.

However in real life, Noelle was going through something as well.  Annika reveals how she and her fiancé found out she was pregnant, and then 10 weeks later she lost the baby.  When they tried again, she lost the baby at 8 weeks.

In an excerpt, Annika expressed about keeping her pain private while working on the soap: “Fans and news articles speculated whether I was pregnant or just gained weight during quarantine. And once again the storyline called for ceaseless tears when I felt like I had no more to give. I guess looking back at it now, I was scared to jinx anything. I didn’t want people to know and have things not work out. And yet I wish I had because I would have given anything to have the understanding and support of the cast and crew. I felt so alone. The secret was isolating, yet the shame was debilitating. I felt like I had failed at something that should be easy. But as time marched on, I was surprised by a new feeling bubbling underneath the sorrow: an ancestral rage toward the burden of womanhood. And as I slowly began to open up about my loss to a select few, I was shocked by how many people had experienced it as well.”

In the end, Annika shares: “Anyone who follows me on social media can tell you I’m a deeply private person. But if there is one thing I’ve gained from my loss, it is a voice I’m no longer afraid to use.”

Make sure to read Annika’s moving article in full, then let us know in the comment section what you thought of it.
