General Hospital
Maura West & Kin Shriner Play An Electrifying Game Of Courtroom Cat & Mouse on General Hospital!

Courtesy/ABC
If you have not watched Monday’s episode of General Hospital, do not read any further. If you have … read on!
In must-see performances by the always riveting Daytime Emmy-winning Maura West (Ava) and her scene partner GH stalwart Kin Shriner (Scott), the audience was in for a treat and quite the ride when Denise DeMuccio AKA Ava Jerome took the stand during the Silas Clay murder trial.
With Scott’s son, Franco (Roger Howarth) up for the murder rap, good ole dad was going to do all he can so that Franco would not rot in prison. He received a little, or shall we say, big assist from none other than Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), and some very valuable DNA from a drinking glass!
With Denise on the stand, Scott went in for the kill while already getting her to tip that she is really Ava Jerome, when he said to her: “You were indifferent to your daughter’s feelings. You didn’t care about her tears, her pain, her grief!” Denise now speaking as Ava says, “That’s not true!” Then in the key moments, Scott broke down Denise AKA Ava so much so that she screamed out in tears and anguish! After Ava started to crack that everything she did and risked to come back to Port Charles was for her two daughters: Kiki (Hayley) and baby Avery, Scott asked “Who came back? I need verbal confirmation here. Who came back for those girls? Was it Denise DeMuccio … or was it Ava Jerome?” And then came the admission when West exclaimed: “Ava, damn it! I’m Ava Jerome!”
And with that … Kiki is shocked. Morgan (Bryan Craig) looks to have nothing to say at all about it. Next, Ric (Rick Hearst) gets Ava arrested for the murder of Connie Falconeri. However before she was cuffed and while on the stand, Ava kicked arch-nemesis Nina (Michelle Stafford) to the curb by showing the incriminating photo of Nina holding a knife over Silas’ dead body.
What did you think of the performances of Maura West and Kin Shriner on Monday’s episode of General Hospital? Are you glad that it is finally out in the open that Ava is alive and her cover as Denise is blown? Comment below!
Sadly, it was not directed or executed very well. Of course, Maura West delivered the goods…she’s a goddess. However, they had the opportunity to build up a Judith Light moment and pretty much failed. The camera was not on her enough and more importantly, the courtroom was EMPTY! There should’ve been key characters in there and we only got Kiki and Morgan? Major fail. But again, Maura did her part in spades!!!!
I agree, besides the fact that Franco was put on trial very quickly, the whole trial thing just looks so unrealistic, especially how Ric became overnight the prosecutor, i mean really theres so much to rip apart in this storyline that you know its really bad when your concentrating on the extras in the background, and noticing how awful they are, like the one guy pretending to write on the note pad even though his pen was inches away from it. The revelation that denise was ava was so anti climatic, sorry, but i saw no must see performances, all i saw were talented actors acting out a bad script badly executed and directed, it felt put together by high school kids..let this storyline be over NOW!
What you said, Aria. Right on!!!!
Sorry, su…..this was no courtroom drama. There should have been some suspense when Denise’s true identity was finally revealed. I was not holding my breath.
And, there was no sound of disbelief or exclamation anywhere in that ghost of a courtroom. Shouldn’t Kiki and Morgan have been stunned? There really was no reaction of which to speak!
As I previously mentioned….Mickey Mouse, amateurish writing.
@CeeCee…Welcome back Cherie, it hasn’t been the same without you…
Right. Major fail. She needs to go; I’m sure she can find another gig.
No matter how it was written people would find fault and bitch about it..
if Agatha Christie was the ghost writer for RC some people would still complain.. perhaps a npw acquired mindset .. LOL
I liked it quick and handled. Scott was great, Ava awesome, Franco as always right on, Morgan with his silent rage, it was good and didn’t take a year.. Ava is back.
It a story nothing but a story..
The courtroom drama opened a lot of doors for upcoming stories, good stuff..
0oooh gawd!!’
that was great drama, RC at his best !!
I love Scott & Franco up front..
RC did Scott good with this story! So good to see him in action.
It was awesome that Ava outed herself !
WOW & WHOA .. I can hardly wait for the story to continue, great drama ahead for Franco & Scott and Ava and Sonny/baby Avery..
So many great stories being started…
Too sad RC won’t be able to finish what he started with these great stories..
After mid Oct the stories are in the hands of the Queens of Snooze..
(I knew RC would bring it back in a bang, he just needed to rid of the Luke exit..
;;;;And with that … Kiki is shocked. Morgan (Bryan Craig) looks to have nothing to say at all about it. Next, Ric (Rick Hearst) gets Ava arrested for the murder of Connie Falconeri. However before she was cuffed and while on the stand, Ava kicked arch-nemesis Nina (Michelle Stafford) to the curb by showing the incriminating photo of Nina holding a knife over Silas’ dead body.;;;;
^^^^^^ BRAVO RC !!
Who killed Silas…. It wasn’t Nina or Ava… It isn’t Franco although he’s
willing to incriminate himself in order to clear Nina… It wasn’t random
but by design, which brings us back to…Mad Maddie or Rick must’ve
gotten wind of Silas’s intention to come clean about Avery’s kidnapping,
which would have spoiled their plans for Nina & her inheritance.
I have my money on Ric .. he is the killer..
If the killer is not revealed before RC’s writing ends in mid Oct the new writers can make the killer whomever they like.
That is exactly what I said, Fanny, on a different thread. I think Silas and Nina were getting too close for MadMaddie’s and Rick’s comfort. We have a meeting of the minds here.
Alors, Fanny. Merci beaucoup, ma chere amie. Je suis tres heureuse d’être returnee.
I was in Monaco and Marseilles for a week, so I had the great opportunity to speak French.
It does my heart good knowing I was missed. Thank you, again, my friend.
I agree Su! I absolutely loved it! that was great drama!
I loved Scott, Franco, Ric , Ava, Kiki and Morgan! Bravo!
Well done indeed!!
Maura West knows how to bring any house down. It was an emotionally controlled performance. Maura West always knows how to go far out and yet still remain in control. That is why she is a great actress. Skill and control over her craft. I loved how it played out. The only disappointment I had was that Franco didn’t let Ava have it after she spilled the beans about Nina. Even though Nina is innocent. If I was Franco I would have said , “oh yeah Kiki, what your father wanted to tell you is that your boyfriend is poking your mother AGAIN!”…. Other than that I loved today’s episode all the way around.
MAteo – I also loved the episode all the way around!
About friggin time. Waiting for the Ava Jerome/Denise show to be over!!!
Me too. Maura West is awesome, but Denise is a total fail IMO. I was waiting for Scotty to snatch that cheap wig right off her head. If only.
Would have loved to seen that. I’m so over Maura West though.
Maura West and Kin Shriner were great, but the new Kiki not so much.
WAITING for Altman and Passanante’s work to begin! I am SO excited to see how they will clean up the convoluted utter mess that Ron left behind!! The word Herculean doeant seem grand enough for the clean-up they have to do. Talk about daunting!!
I see no mess..
GH is great,,
People have attention problems, perhaps..
FF and doing laundry while watching can leave big holes 🙂
It was great to see Kin Shriner being given some front burner, meaty scenes again. It’s been a long time. Too long. Usually he’s relegated to being a background player. And Maura West brought it, as she usually does. So glad that we won’t have to hear that bad Brooklyn accent, or see that horrible black wig ever again.
To those complaining about the direction of the scene, or the camera work or whatever, give me a break, seriously. Talk about nit picking for the sake of nit picking. Who sits at home watching General Hospital going “Oh my god, the direction of that scene was terrible, and the camera work, just hideous!” Didn’t realize everyone was Steven Spielberg all of a sudden.
I’m all for people critiquing the writing, or the acting, or whatever, but when you start talking about the technical parts of the show, that’s when I start rolling my eyes.
I so agree with you! Just enjoy the show! You totally hit the nail on the head Dan…with the nitpicking…geez! Enjoyed watching Kin in action also!
I have been watching soaps for over forty years and therefore I have the weight of experience on my side here when I say– when viewers nitpik as you say it is only when whatever is being shown on screen is not holding their attention. If I am truly involved with the scene, if the acting is drawing me in, if the dialogue is riveting I don’t give a hoot what an actress is wearing or how the set looks or whatever the small detail is– so if people are nitpiking these scenes it is because for many of us these scenes were not doing the job. I’m glad you enjoyed these scenes, but I didn’t because I’ve seen this kind of stuff better and done a whole lot better.
nitpicking is what old busybody ladies do when gathered for a bitchfest..
nitpicking is actually overthinking.
overthinking a soap which is fictional is nonsense and confuses what is..
you just gotta watch the story for what it is soap stuff and let it roll, then nobody will be confusing themselves. usually rewriting whatevers to suit their way of thinking,
taking it apart and rebuilding it to fit their minds LOL /
Just watch the darn thing and enjoy 🙂
What Mary SF said (that’s what she said).
Dan, what you call nit picking is really people paying attention to detail and explaining why the scene in question was anti climatic.
I actually think it’s good for people to know why they did or did not like a story (or a book, a piece of art or music) and be able to explain why.
I didn’t see the scene myself as I taking a break from GH until the snooze fest ends. I am relying on my friends here to wake me up when September ends.
@ Mary SF
It’s wonderful that you’ve been watching soaps for over forty years. And if you want to nitpik all power to you. But you also have allow for others who don’t see the need.
I hate to nit pik suooo but you totally missed the point of my post.
@Kelly– not sure how you got the idea I am not making allowance for those you don’t feel the need to nit pik. Didn’t I say to Dan I was glad he enjoyed those scenes. I am very aware viewers are drawn in by different things. I was merely offering Dan an explanation as to why some viewers nikpik.
It doesn’t matter if it is a soap, prime time show, or movie, if as a viewer you are drawn into the story you will not notice a misplaced prop or mistake in detail, or how a character’s dress clashes with her shoes. If as a viewer you are noticing those things it is because the story isn’t holding your attention. Another viewer might see the same thing and love it– great. The world is large enough to hold everything from Shakespeare to slapstick, something for everyone and every taste.
Kelly, Mary was not in any shape or form trying to censor anyone’s opinion. She was merely offering us her opinion.
I did, however, see a lot of people trying to censor or control those who did not enjoy the aforementioned scene.
I do not enjoy the smell of projection in the evening…. or in the morning ….or in the afternoon….or ever, Sam-I-Am.
I will never understand why having a difference of an opinion is so difficult for some people to accept. Maybe it’s because I come from a family who fought like a pack of rabid dogs during supper but made up and got a long just fine like a flock of love birds over dessert and coffee.
I agree completely, Mary. Su is telling us ” bitches”? to just sit back and “watch the darn thing” or whatever. Cogito ergo sum (I doubt, I think, therefore I exist)…..we cannot NOT have an opinion.
I will continually say this until I am blue in the face. The entire point for this site is to exchange thoughts, opinions and ideas. I have said this very thing and defended Su about this. But, I cannot keep up with her change of venues, sometimes. Whether we agree with our fellow-posters’ input or not is beside the point. The point is to allow everyone to speak his/ her mind and accept his/her personal truth…..THAT IS THE POINT, su. Right? You know that’s how it works.
Morgan is an idiot, with fire in his eyes. He only thinks with his phallus. And, Ava has a ring around IT……poor thing, he is so hurt by Ava’s actions. Would it have made a difference had he known the truth? I doubt it. He would have still bedded the wanton saccubus. It takes smarts to kill someone and lay suspicion on others’ feet. So, unless Morgan has developed a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde syndrome, he will remain an idiot and a cry-baby, mama’s boy. Has this all-of-a-sudden malady (bipolar disorder, which is very serious and should be treated with kid gloves) turned him into a monster? No, I doubt it.
I also agree when you say that the fact it is a soap should not matter. A story is a story and we are, as you say, naturally drawn within its grasp of plot line, drama or tragedy. And we will, undoubtedly, form an opinion. Loved your posts, Mary. Well thought-out. Later.
Dan…with you on all counts. Love Kim/Scotty not having to be the buffoon for a change. After all, he did get a law degree once. Maura was great…you could almost see Ava’s wheels turning as she was being blindsided by Scotty’s questions.
As for the complaining, I’ve gotten to the point of “fast forwarding” most negative comments.
I agree with you Dan, people always need to find something to bitch about. I watched the actors act. I realize I’m not watching Law and Order with their big budget and their 23 scripts a year! I watched two vets show all these younger cheaper actors how to act!
Thank you, Dan. You said the magic word. CRITIQUING. I could care less about the technical aspect of a soap….
Nonetheless, what annoys me is when the viewer is not allowed to form an opinion, if said opinion does not agree with other viewers. That is such drivel and hypocrisy because we all take pot shots.
I love Kin, Maura and Franco; regardless of the shenanigans. They acted on cue…all three followed direction. I ‘bitch’ about the writing. There is no denying my appreciation of Maura giving us her best….or, the comedic effect Franco’s and Scotty’s banter had on me. These are seasoned actors who have my admiration, regardless of the writing. The different expressions on Ava’s face…the intensity of her eyes as she fixed her stare on Franco spoke volumes. I love Maura.
But, to label some of us as nit-pickets who are obsessed about the technical direction of a soap, is a little over the top. I, for one catch up late at night, in bed, most days….I pay no attention to camera angle.
Dan, Thank you! I agree with you… Talk about nit picking for the sake of nit picking. I almost think that many of the bloggers have to much time on their hands and there is a lot of bashing (of the writers, producers, certain actors, etc). I think that the blogging has a real negative focus, and I don’t think that this is what the purpose of this site. This is people’s jobs and livelihoods. This bashing is unnecessary and very hurtful. Would these things be said in to a person to face to face? IMO
LOVE Scotty in these scenes. Kin Shriner was great. Maura West was great.
Can’t believe Kiki wasn’t angry. That was just dumb–her dad is still dead–murdered by someone.
And Morgan just had the dumbest look on his face.
Glad they moved so quickly–hope they have more plans for Scott.
I agree about Morgan I kept watching for his horrified reaction and got nothing!! I think he was sleeping with his eyes open LOL
Morgan played it as he is, a bit off in the head,,
He did however have that 0oooh 00oh gonna kill you look ..
Morgan acted as Morgan should would act, detached with silent rage..
Morgan need to distance himself, no reaction.
He could also be a suspect along with Ava if it is found out he and Denise/Ava were both being threatened by Silas..
Morgan did what he should do to not become involved, nothing, do nothing just be sitting there in silent bubbling anger not drawing attention to himself.
Patty! People who sleep with their eyes open freak me out! I am sure Morgan is one of those people!
Love the actors but it fell flat with me. They definitely did what they could with the material they had but the writing/set-up just wasn’t there for them.
I didnt watch…cant tolerate ‘Denise’…instead i got more excitement picking out the lint from my belly button…so far i got enough lint to stuff two pillows…lol
awww Jimh.
Denise has been gone for awhile now..
She has mainly been Ava with black hair LOL
Deniese is now dead ..
lot more to GH than Deniese , yuppers lol
Nit-pick, su? You know I like you, su. But you cannot throw a bomb like that and then hide the hand that did it. It wasn’t too long ago when all you did, practically in your every post, was complain about Genie/Laura. Furthermore, I can say with certainty that when she returns, you will pick up where you left off, yes? You nit-picked about everything concerning the actress/character. You made no excuse about not liking her either. So, with all due respect, show yourself….do not hide, nor jump on the band-wagon. ‘Tis, unseemly. You see, su; God gave me the gift of gab…LOL. have a good night.
Jim–I can contribute lint for more pillows if you need them.
Exactly, Harry. God gave some of us a brain to use it. I do not call it a bitchfest, so eloquently put, by su0000. I call it critiquing. As you say, we either like a novel or not…and, we give reasons. That is precisely what we all did for our teachers/professors. I cannot help myself. I appreciate good writing and I deplore bad writing….I will comment as I see it. As always, Harry, you tell it like it is.
@Harry…..I heartily agree with both you and CeeCee!!! Airing our differences of opinions and enumerating them here with one another is what makes this website so special and enjoyable! Why some individuals cannot abide this and have the repeated need to characterize it as moaning, b*+@#ing or especially, hating, is beyond my comprehension. Having said that, I can just imagine all of us here gathered around that proverbial dinner table you referenced….what a verbal feast that would be! (Although I am certain that all of us ladies—and probably a majority of the men, as well—-would be fighting for a seat next to you, skilled and witty raconteur that you are!!!!)
Maura West gave us an EXPLOSIVE powder keg performance… If her eyes
were daggers Scotty would be a goner… And true to form she wasn’t going
to go down alone… Next up Nina…Dr. O isn’t in the clear either.
I feel as if Ron C. saw the writing on the wall and chose to clean house &
rearrange the furniture… Before his final bow.
“Hellow Fanny.”
Omar Sharif–Funny Girl.
Harry..you certainly know how to put a smile on this girls face….
I’ll take your word for it, haven’t been watching. Other than Scott, there are too many new characters involved that I don’t care about.
Waiting for the new writing regime. ANYTHING has to be an improvement.
Justin,
”new characters” involved, nope..
Morgan, Ava, Scott, Ric, even Franco is old..
Nina would be the only newer character yet she is over an year..
there are no new characters involved 🙂
New Kiki is the only newer one.
Nina and Ava were the leads, it revolves around Silas, yes they are new characters.
I can’t stand Ava/Denise, PLEASE get rid of her as soon as possible!!! Enough already!
Linda,
did not see that Ava admitted she was Ava, in a court of law..?
therefore Denise is ”gotten rid of” ….
This story line seemed weak to me but… Maura West always can make a silk purse out of a pig’s ear. I adore her.
As for GH overall, show always need tweaking. It’s time for that in Port Charles. I know it costs money but I would like to have some day-to-day scenes involving little-seen vets (and give them an occasional story). I do not like the sci-fi or the let’s-discover-we-are-parent/child-history revisions. There have been groans about the new writers but I say give them a chance. I like their more human approach to storytelling. Mob seems to always have a place in PC, but more hospital, please. More tales of life… aging, failed businesses, living with chronic illness, maybe a miracle story. How about a Luke/Laura-style romantic adventure? I’d like to see some good here.
what?
”’ living with chronic illness, maybe a miracle story. How about a Luke/Laura-style romantic adventure? I’d like to see some good here.”’
that ^^^ would make me puke, it;s Y&R not GH..
KEEP GH DISEASE FREE !!
Way too late. Nobody cares.
Okay I’ve watched enough lawyer shows to know that you can’t arrest someone for a crime they already been arrested , convicted and put in prison for–its called double jeopardy Ava was already in prison for murdering Connie, she was already had her day in court. They can arrest her for escaping prison, but not for Connie’s murder. But perhaps this is the technical screw up that will get Ava off for good otherwise it is really shoddy writing that they can’t get these small details correct.
As for the rest of it, I’m sorry I thought all the performances were really sub par. But I am glad this part of story is over and we can move on.
hi Mary-
Ava was being held awaiting trial for the murder of Connie..
She was never tried and convicted of the murder, she escaped before the trial.
I bow to your knowledge of all things GH– I thought they had a trial off screen – my bad
Both my parents are attorneys, Mary, and as su says, there was no trial. Ergo, the arrest of Ava is on the up and up, per se.
Unfortunately, this story is far from over…I is just beginning.
Sorry, GH is just running on fumes right now. No one wants to watch Maura play out this horrible story. Glad it’s over. I don’t blame Carlivati entirely. Valentini should never have allowed that wig on the actress. The whole Denise concept, from start to finish, was just terrible. Kin has also seen better days. It was painful to watch, couldn’t get through it. Not even a shadow of Karen Wolek’s trial scenes.
Maura West, as usual, was terrific. I could watch her all day. I expected a little more shock and awe from Kiki finding out her mother is alive. Her reaction was pretty bland. Same for Morgan. At least Ava can ditch the awful wig now.
Ava had a dye job BUT Maura West is wearing a wig.
Loved all the recent courtroom drama on GH! I totally have a crush on Scotty Baldwin now. I hope they repair him with Laura or Dr. O and bring Serena and Kristina on to add to the young adult scene. Team Baldwin.
Ava and Scott were great, but the reveal was anti-climatic at best. Yea you get shocked faces, but who cares about Kiki and Morgan (who should have know TBH having been sleeping with her all over town). Also I get Franco doesn’t want to hurt Kiki but after Ava threw Nina under the bus it was the perfect time to be like “Oh yea Kiki BTW Silas was going to tell you about Morgan sleeping with your aunt, I mean mom, which is why Ava killed him”.
Am I the only one that doesn’t like Maura West on GH? I just don’t think either character brings much to this show. Bored.
We are a small minority, Ces. I think Maura West is a very talented actress but I have no interest in Ava or her alter ego in the bad wig.
When she played Carly on As the World turns she really demonstrated how talented she is while playing a realistic, flawed character with flickers of nuance.
Well this proves one thing for sure, all of us fans that wish for our vets to be featured on the show know what their talking about, Kin was amazing! Give him a steak and he will chew on it! Matter of fact, remember the scene where him and Franco sat in their robes at the hotel and ate steak together as father and son. THAT along with Scott’s courtroom performance is the GH I miss! However, Franco had to ruin it by jumping up and down saying he murdered Silas after his dad just unmasked DAnise! So frustrating! BTW, DAnise and Levi are two of the worst characters EVER on GH!
Agreed–love Kin Shriner, always have.
That is exactly what I am talking about, Timmm. The writing. Why did Franco jump up and confessed to the murder? It was written that way! Stupid, stupid thing to do. Was it done to show his great love for Nina? We already know he loves her deeply, and she reciprocates that love. No unrequited love here! So, what was the point….to ruin a perfectly well-presented case for Scotty?
So, how is giving an opinion bitching or complaining?
Thats it CeeCee, Franco ruined the courtroom scenes with his over the top antics. His dad busted his ass to set him free and that response from Roger was ridiculous! Sorry, wrong choice of words, didnt mean to say bitching. Its a n opinion site. My ONLY pet peeve is when “Fans” say they are done with the show because of a firing or a story.
@Timm.
Dear, sweet, Timmm. I was referring to su, who said some of us were bitching. I was just posing a rhetorical question. When I see idiotic writing, I will say so, it does not make me cranky, bitchy or idle. It is assuming much when someone ( not you, Timmm…….you never alluded to that) thinks that I, or others spend all our time in front of a TV set.
I appreciate your acknowledgement, Timmm. Thank you. ‘Nite.
I love Scotty and am so glad to hear he got some worthwhile material to work with!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
