It was a busy weekend for General Hospital’s Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos)!  The Daytime Emmy nominated young performer married his beautiful fiancée Taylor Novack on Saturday, September 15.

According to ABC Soaps In Depth,  “The couple tied the knot in front of family and friends at a private residence in Cave Creek, Arizona. The actor admitted the weather was a bit on the hot side, but declared, “It was an amazing day. Unbelievably beautiful. It was great having our families come together to share it with us.”‘

Congratulations are in order to the happy couple from On-Air On-Soaps!  And now, in honor of Chad’s wedding and as a salute to the new groom,  check out his on-screen GH partner, Kristen Alderson (Starr) and Chad performing their own brand of Karoke after the jump, in his hilarious video they posted on YouTube!

Chad and Kristen take on “Leave” from the Once soundtrack, “Feeling Good”, Michael Buble, “Teenage Dream”, Katy Perry, some Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna and more!

On GH I always find him a bit on the dull side, but apparently he`s a regular jokester. Wish he`d be like that a bit more on GH.

RC and FV need to take advantage of the natural comedic skills both of these kids have. I understand they’re part of a “serious” story arc right now, but even a little bit of laughter would go a long way to lighten up some of the more angsty areas. I wasn’t a big fan of this pairing because it was obvious where they were going with it from the beginning. I’d like to see them tackle something away from the Kristina/Trey part of the equation. They haven’t won me over, but I’m willing to see how this current material plays… Read more »

General Hospital To Air Special Election Episode In Honor of the Passing of the 19th Amendment & Women’s Right To Vote

On the Monday, November 2nd episode of General Hospital, just before election day here in the United States, the ABC daytime drama is airing a very special episode depicting and remembering the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution.

The inspiring female cast will go back in time as Laura Wright takes on the role of Beatrice Eckert, a suffragist, who is more than ever, determined to get women to exercise their right to vote.

Key to the episode are Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and Sydney Miykala (Trina).  In the story, it marks Josslyn’s first time to be able to vote now that she has turned 18. At first, she isn’t very motivated to vote, but when she and Trina find themselves traveling back in time to 1920, things take a turn as Josslyn realizes just how important it is to exercise her right to have her voice heard and vote, as those women before her fought for their rights.

In the all female directed, written episode, also look for actresses: Maura West, Nancy Lee Grahn, Finola Hughes, Rebecca Herbst, Nicole Briana Henry, Brook Kerr, and more of the female cast to be on-screen.

The episode’s key messaging, “Voting isn’t just a right.. it’s a privilege.”   All that to say, remember, to get on vote come Tuesday.

Emme Rylan Addresses Reports Of Her Exit From General Hospital & Update On Plans With Family

Several hours ago, Emme Rylan (Lulu) of General Hospital took to her Instagram story to talk directly to her followers, friends and fans about her rumored exit on the ABC daytime drama series, and to share some changes in where she and her family will be living.

At that time, Emme updated everyone that since the landlord sold the house she has been living in with partner Don Money and their three children, that they had not found a suitable home for them to live, in Los Angeles, after their extensive search.  So for now they were going to put their things in storage and go on an extended road trip with the entire family in tow … in a car… under Covid-19 safety protocols with her kids still distance-learning, and that she would be documenting the trip on her Instagram account,

After she shared her original update, she later went back to her Instagram story to clarify her earlier statements after many fans were following up with her asking her even more questions.

Rylan shared:  “I am getting a lot of questions that I cannot answer …  people are kind of being confused that maybe I chose to take a vacation or take time-off,  so the only thing I can say is “no, I did not choose this.”  I can’t say anything else.  There you go.   That’s all I am allowed to say.   So, this trip is us taking an unexpected turn of events and turning it into something positive and fun for our family. ”

Earlier on her IG story, Emme addressed the reports of her exit from Port Charles explaining: “I am not in a position to be able to comment on the work stuff, so in terms of General Hospital, I am going to keep that topic quiet. All you need to know is that I love everyone there, we all love each other, I’m okay, and all of your messages of love are amazing … I love you guys so much — but I just can’t talk about it. ”

Then as to her plans with her family she shared: “We, meaning my family and I, have decided to do something completely insane. I have never done anything like this in my entire adult life. We are currently packing up our entire house and putting it in a pod and putting it in storage here in Los Angeles, and with only our suitcases, we are going to go on a Covid-safe, epic road trip.  I have been working every single day, Monday through Friday on a soap opera since 2004?  I have only been in New York and L.A, and I have never really explored life outside of this bubble.”

So, what do you think about what Emme shared with her fans and followers? Comment below.

Genie Francis Returns to General Hospital During November Sweeps

General Hospital fans have been noticing the absence of icon Genie Francis in her role as Laura since the show returned to production amid Covid-19.

But fans will not have to wait much longer as Francis will be back on-screen during the key November sweeps ratings period and will be right in the middle of all the drama, in particular, surrounding Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

According to Soap Opera Digest, and their sweeps preview in their latest issue (on newsstands now) GH co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor reveal that Laura will return to Port Charles and is not pleased with what has happened to the city while she has been away, and that she is, “determined to get answers to Cyrus’ past and she is determined to be the one to ultimately bring him down.”

There is no official word on Genie’s first airdate bsck, but stay tuned, as November is just around the corner.

Back on October 7th, Genie posted a photo of herself sharing: “Bye bye New England! So happy to have had a bit of fall!”  Thus, signaling she was headed back to the west coast to re-join GH.

So looking forward to seeing Genie back on GH?  How do you think Laura will try to bring down Cyrus? Comment below.
