Kelly Clarkson Daytime Talk Show A Go For Fall 2019 Launch

Daytime will have a new talker come the fall of 2019.  Grammy-winner, Kelly Clarkson’s new syndicated series, The Kelly Clarkson Show has been picked up.

According to Deadline, NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution had sold the show to the NBC Owned TV Station group for a fall 2019 debut.

Kelly’s new show will air as the lead-in for The Ellen DeGeneres show in all but one market. This is the time slot previously held by Steve Harvey and his talk show for the last seven seasons. The future of Harvey’s show remains unclear, but it looks to have been replaced by Clarkson.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is the first first-run syndication series developed after the fall 2016 restructuring at NBCU, which saw NBC head of alternative Paul Telegdy take over the first-run syndication division. Telegdy and his unscripted team that recruited Clarkson for NBC’s The Voice.

The singer’s new talker is described as a fun, energetic show that breaks with tradition. Each episode will feature stories, celebrity guests, surprises, humor and music.  Clarkson and  her husband, Brandon Blackstock are executive producers.

So, how do you think Kelly will do in the daytime talk show arena? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
