Michael Easton Debuts As Silas Clay On General Hospital! – What Was Your Reaction?

On yesterday’s episode of General Hospital, Michael Easton made his return to General Hospital after his new role was shrouded in secrecy. After playing John McBain, Stephen Clay, and Caleb Morley in his soap lives on ABC, just what would General Hospital head writer, Ron Carlivati have in mind for this beloved fan favorite?
Well, the answer thus far was revealed at the end of Tuesday’s episode, when a freaked out Sam (Kelly Monaco) insisted she ran into lunatic killer Stephen Clay, only he was a doctor at the New York City hospital! Sam was at the hospital investigating and aiding in the search for Morgan Corinthos!
Turns out that she was seeing double, in that the doctor was in fact, Silas Clay, the brother of nut-job Stephen Clay!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Chase Proposes to Brook Lynn; Kristina and Blaze Share a Kiss
Finally, many GH viewers got their wish, when on the Monday, December 4th episode of the ABC daytime drama series, Chase (Josh Swickard) got down on one knee (a few times) and proposed to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton).
At first, Brook Lynn balked at his attempt as she believed Gloria (Ellen Travolta) and Lois (Rena Sofer) were pressuring him to do so. When she tells Chase marriage is off the table he pulls out an engagement ring. Chase reveals he was planning on proposing at Christmas, so he had the ring ready to go. A romantic Chase shares that he doesn’t want to waste one more day as he clearly knows what matters now … her! With that, Chase gets back down on his knees and proposes again, and this time Brook Lynn says, “yes!” The two seal the deal with a kiss!
Molly (Kristen Vaganos) breaks the news to TJ (Tajh Bellow), that she now wants to accept her sister, Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) offer to be their surrogate, after all the failures they have been through in trying to find a candidate that will stick. While TJ voices his concerns, he eventually comes around and tells Molly, “Let’s have a baby,” and now seems excited about the prospect of Kristina being the answer to their prayers. They seal the deal with a kiss!

Kristina and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) get together with a bottle of champagne, since Blaze’s latest song just hit number one on the charts. During their conversation, Kristina asks what is Blaze’s real name? She reveals it’s “Alison”.

Later, Kristina opens up about her past and her abusive relationship with Keifer, her short marriage to Trey and then how she went away to college and fell for her professor Parker Forsythe (formerly Ashley Jones). She then reveals Parker went back to her ex. However, Kristina’s takeaway was she realized she was clearly into women. That leaves the moment open for Blaze to make a move on Kristina and the two share a kiss.

Daytime Emmy Lead Actress Nominee Luncheon; The Tradition Continues
On Sunday, it was Mishael Morgan’s (Amanda Sinclair, The Young and the Restless) turn to host the annual Lead Actress nominee luncheon, for this year’s talented woman who are going for gold at the upcoming 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night, December 15th on CBS.
Morgan took home the Daytime Emmy in this category in 2022 becoming the first Black actress in the now 50-year history to ever win it. In a tradition that was started by four-time Daytime Emmy winner Susan Flannery (Ex-Stephanie, The Bold and the Beautiful), the winning actress from the previous year has to pick up the tab, choose a restaurant and host a fun afternoon gathering for this year’s crop of nominees.
Attending the festivities were 2023 Lead Actress nominees: Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea, The Young and the Restless), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, The Young and the Restless), Sharon Case (Sharon, The Young and the Restless) Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital), and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, The Bold and the Beautiful).

Taking to her Instagram, Melissa Claire Egan shared: “To be nominated alongside this incredibly talented group of women is a TRUE HONOR!!! Thank you to last years winner, the fabulous Mishael Morgan for hosting an epic Lead Actress Nominee Luncheon today. It’s so nice that they all offered to give me their Emmy if they win!!”
Michelle Stafford took to her Instagram and expressed: “Lead Actress Brunch. This is a real honor. I’m truly honored to be in a group with all of these incredible women. I’ve loved them all for a very long time. We are all so grateful to be working on our shows… to be working in general, as actors. What a spectacular group of women. Mishael (Last years winner) put together a brunch that was BEYOND spectacular with gift bags even!! I mean Mishael, you are an absolute class act. Thank you for the beautiful day 🧡”
Finola Hughes posted her sentiments as well, “Yesterday was the leading ladies lunch for the Emmy’s. It’s a tradition started by the inimitable Susan Flannery. (The previous years winner throws a luncheon for the nominees). Yesterday was a very special lunch. Mishael Morgan raised the bar! The conversation was at once light hearted and deep. This was an amazing group of women, supportive, funny and caring. Thank you all for a brilliant few hours 💕 🌸 ✨”
Posting on their Instagram Stories were Michelle Stafford who gave us a little more behind the scenes of the luncheon, where Mishael also handed out a gift bag to each of the ladies, and Sharon Case who accompanied her photos with the tune “This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride.

General Hospital’s Jon Lindstrom Shares Heartfelt Message to Mark His 30-Year Anniversary as Dr. Kevin Collins
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 30 years since back on December 3rd, 1993, when General Hospital viewers got the shock of their lives as the ABC soap opera introduced the psychiatrist twin brother of serial killer, Ryan Chamberlain, in the form of Dr. Kevin Collins.
For soap fans that meant we got to see even more of one of the finest actors ever to appear in the genre in Jon Lindstrom. The talented actor started on GH a year and half earlier in June of 1992 as Ryan.
Fast-forward to 2023 and Lindstrom is in the running for this year’s Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series when the 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards are given out in less than two weeks on Friday night, December 15th on CBS. Could an Emmy on his 30th year playing Kevin and Ryan be in the cards? Stay tuned.

It has been well-documented that former GH creatives Wendy Riche (ex-EP), Claire Labine (ex-head writer) and Michelle Val Jean (ex-writer) were all instrumental in keeping Jon in Port Charles with a second role as Kevin, when he could have headed to As the World Turns at the time to play the role of Damian Grimaldi, that eventually went to Paolo Seganti.
Taking to his Instagram on Sunday to acknowledge this special milestone, Jon shared via video message, “I woke up this morning to see that today December 3rd, marks 30 years since I debuted as Dr. Kevin Collins on General Hospital. I knew that it had been a long time, but 30 years since the doppelgänger to Dr. Ryan Chamberlain was introduced. It really is remarkable. It’s been a great ride, a great run. it’s like an entire career right there. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. It’s just been great.”

Lindstrom paid tribute to those who helped create Kevin, expressing, “I have a lot of people to thank about that, let alone people like Wendy Riche and the brass at ABC at the time … Claire Labine who was writing the show back, but Michelle Val Jean was really was the one who I had the pleasure of working with to develop and bring to life Kevin Collins. She’s still a great friend today. So, there’s been a lot of blessings around this for me, and don’t think, I don’t know it. I pretty much drop to my knees every day in gratitude. Thank you world for supporting Dr. Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain, for that matter. I’ll do it as long as they’ll have me.”
Accompanying his video, Jon wrote: “So grateful today for my 30 years of ‘Kevin Collins’ (and ‘Ryan Chamberlain’) on General Hospital, and for the wonderful journey my life has been, for my friends, my the family and incredible opportunities I’ve had. Hope you all have much to be grateful for.”

I so agree. I’ll give it a chance but it looks like it’s going to be a disaster.

I did not like the character Michael has been cast into. The guy’s all about darkness. John McBain had a good heart buried within. This new character is too creepy and cold to warm up to.
I also do not connect with ex-Starr Manning now Kiki. I don’t know what they were thinking with developing these new characters, but there’s no intrigue or likeability with them in my opinion.
They all look corny to me..lol
Micheal Easton’s character reminds me of his Tanner Scofield days on Days of our lives. or maybe i’m so used to his broodiness as John McBain to buy him in this new role. The pony tail is not helping either but the doctor role is really throwing me. I’m used to the action hero that michael easton can play.
Don’t get me started on RH either, I’m not a fan of his, he looks like Paul Ryan from ATWT with that bleached blond hair.
Also, not feeling KA as kiki.
I guess time will tell but i know me and i always go by my first impression..lol
While I’m at it, not feeling Maura West either. not a fan of hers either, never knew what the big deal with Carly on ATWT was.
I’m in total agreement…I don’t like what I’ve seen so far, but I’ll give it time, maybe they’re building, maybe it’ll be a total crash and burn. I love the actors, but the doctor, the co-ed and the ??? don’t really know what Roger is yet, but he’s the most intriguing of the three thus far. Hope the writers know what they’re doing and are able to turn this around quickly.

Ive been watching the show for more than 30 years but Im pretty sure Im done. Really bad business decisions of late. We love GH because we enjoy beinng in relationship with the characters and although its total escapism how many times can you change the story line before people say…Ok thats it Im done. Do they not have test groups?
ive been watching gh since 1976 and for the 1st time to me it is becoming unwatchable! if they couldnt bring them back as john, toddand starr they shouldnt have brought them back at all! all 3 of the new characters to me are horrible!

Not to be insulting or condescending, but Michael was an alternate personality for Caleb. Near the end of the Tainted Love arc, on the roof of the hospital, Caleb switched over to Michael which made him vulnerable to the crossbow. Sure there were scenes where Michael and Caleb had conversations as seperate people, before the finale of TL, but I think whatever goodness was left was put into the Michael personality.
As for right now, I’m gonna wait and see how this unfolds.
I barely have time to watch OLTL, but I was almost tempted to watch GH because I’m a fan of Easton’s poetry. But this whole character switching thing is stupid. ABC attracted some OLTL viewers by moving characters they didn’t own the rights to to Port Charles. ABC got caught. Of course, ABC is in a bind because the actors are under contract, but their characters are illegal. Well,THIS solution doesn’t seem to be working, and that serves ABC right for being disloyal to the soap fans that financed prime time for so many years.

EPIC FAIL!!!! Epic agree! Sounds like a rip-off of OLTL’s twin Drs. Troy and Colin MacIver. But that’s what Ron and Frank do, ripoff old OLTL stories. I thought The Chew scenes were awful. What happened to screwthechew? Aren’t they the enemy of soap fans? So now Ron and Frank and GH sells out to ABC? 😉
GH had no choice Prospect Park wants to be crybabies and not allow them to be their characters on GH.
The actors and actresses that play them are under contract to ABC and GH.
I don’t mind Roger Howarth. Yes he has blonde hair but so what. He isn’t supposed to resemble anything Todd or the people at Prospect Park will threaten lawsuit. So GH had to do this.
As for Easton I didn’t think it was that bad, he is playing a totally different charater than McBain was. He has been playing that role for so long this will allow him to play a different role, I like it.
As for Kristen Alderson, the jury is stil out. She is trying hard to play the bad girl, but not fairing so well. But it may take time. Don’t forget she had played Starr since a child.
Oh and here we go with crying about The Chew again, yawn.
Ron and Frank do work for ABC and when it is decided for The Chew and GH to work together they write it in or find new jobs. Personally I think their talents are wasted on this Mob drama
I hate what they’ve done to characters I loved and giving us these character’s I can’t keep from seeing as Starr, John and Todd. They need to fix things and give us who we want to see. If I have to listen to one more fight about pickle relish I’m going to scream. There is a reason I only started watching GH when OLTL went off, and they are reminding me right now.

Not the best writing in the history of GH .
First off I must admit I was never a GH fan I tried several times to get into it but never was able to until I followed the three cast from OLTL over to GH. I always loved OLTL and really wished it would come back but story lines that Starr Todd and John played although I hated that they killed off her family the minute she got them…. Loved the connection between Starr and Michael hated that they had the phone break up that’s stupid and no fight to get her back that was just so unreal…. People just don’t get up that easy and now here as Kiki please she is Starr every since she was a little girl so I can’t seem to picture her as this other character and now to be with Morgan she belongs back with Michael….And john a Dr not feeling it at all and to be tied to those crazy vampire nut well hope they will bring them back as their characters

SOOO pleased to see Michael Easton back on GH and glad his character is getting involved with Kelly’s character!!! I love them together and I hope that’s what happens. LOVED them on PC! I’m happy Sam isn’t all wishy washy and crying all the time anymore. She’s more like her original hard ass tough girl character. I will adjust to the new characters. I know what with the dispute between PP and ABC they need to be new characters and Michael will make it work . I ADORE him !

Why couldnt they have just had him come back as a brother to John with a different last name? Or couldnt they do that either. Greedy Prospect Park. They have to ruin it for all characters concerned…Starr as KiKi??? Todd as who the heck knows…i dont think i will get used to them being portrayed as other people now. These soaps are starting to really get bizarre with all the switch ups!! And after all this, I hear Prospect Park is cutting OLTL and AMC down to 2 days a week because of ratings. Great idea! Anything besides what they came up with…I have been a dedicated fan of GH for 30yrs but don’t know if I can continue with these messed up story lines here lately! I’m also one who went to Y&R to follow the story line of “Dillon”, formerly known to us as “Jason”. Loved it when Starr, John and Todd showed up on GH! It was really working! But not this time people! I’m just not getting it any more! That’s a shame…

Well in all fairness, no one has seen Roger Howarth yet except NuLuLu and she’s got amnesia. And the Clay guy looks like ANOTHER Clay guy so they do reference THAT. IT is a little odd that no says “Gee, KiKi looks just like Starr.” But don’t blame the writers; they are really in a tough bind because of the lawsuit so give them a break people, they are doing the best they can given the circumstances and their hands are tied.
I understand about the law suit. And I’m thankful they still have a job! But they could have wrote them in better than this! I remember when they brought back the original Carly and she returned as Claudia…at first I didn’t think that would ever work!! But it did and we loved the new character! Just hope the same works out here. Perhaps it’s bc there’s 3 of them at one time! That’s a lot to take in!

What the hell is going on at GH?! It’s been incredible to watch the show rise from the ashes with FV and RC at the helm but the last three Weeks have been dreadful! They need to get it together quick before the ratings are back in the toilet! The airlines suck!
I mean storylines! Damn ‘smart’ phones. But the airlines must suck too lol. The port Charles airport looked as dead on arrival as the ‘new’ gh characters when Brenda was waiting for her flight out of town!

Yes, in GH land because of the lawsuit and legal issue- McBain no longer exists. They can’t use his name, or reference the character in passing, not even to address issues as why did McBain and the Clay brothers look alike.

folks GET THAT. the writers seem to think we’re dumb, and relating the new characters too closely to their original characters, and the relationships they had with their old characters. putting kristen/kiki so close to michael… silas clay is directly involved with sam, and roger is now associated with sam, jason,and heather… come on. the actors could’ve have waited a few months or more, while they figured out a way to integrate them in as new characters, not FORCE them in with these inane characters.
Put him to work for Sonny! The new Jason story line??? Dr does not fit him! Although I know there will never be but one Jason…he could be put in that position!

So glad he is back and it is great he is a Doc. We’ve lost Steven, Robin, Maggie, Matt and Ewan in the last couple of years and before that Lisa Niles. The hospital is in dire need of new doctors. As for the visual resemblance- so what? It is a soap and I’m Willing to suspend disbelief and see where Michael and the writers take us. It isn’t fair to compare this character to McBain because it is out of our control. McBain belongs to PP. I’m happy to have Dr Silas Clay on GH!

We have only seen him for a couple of minutes and to judge now would be a stupid thing to do..

Michael Easton has a natural style that made him cool.. no matter who he played on GH, PC or OLTL. In ABC’s attempt to not get sued, they have taken all the coolness away from Easton.. which is part of his acting persona.. and have turned him into some super-nerd, geeky guy. Perhaps, they give his new character a makeover.. but as it stands, it’s terrible.
As much as I love Michael East, I’m having a hard time buying it, would have preferred him to be John McBain’s twin, than Steven aka Caleb’s twin! Would rather all 3 stayed with OLTL as there original characters

I was just happy he didn’t come back as a vampire– fingers crossed. I think the reason they went with the Clay family angle was two fold. The Clay/ Caleb characters are GH characters so they could make him their twin without any legal issues. But the main reason it gives this new character a connection to Sam– if he was a Cassadine the two would be related and that would rule out a love connection between them. Fans want KM and RE together- so this is a way to do it. It may not be the most inventive approach, but it gets the job done.
He’ll have a connection to Sam…she’s Rafes guardian and he’s Rafe’s uncle.
Hes Rafes uncle which gives him a pc connection and eventually bring him close to Sam who is Rafes guardian.

To AJ’s defense the first pickle Lila story was in the early 80’s or mid 80’s and AJ was still growing in real time…so he was likely 10 years old or already at boarding school…lol

It just keeps getting worse not better. GH is so disconnected. There are days where you will not or do not see storylines continue. It is spotty and disjointed. The Chew episodes were disgusting along with the inappropriate and vulgar scenes with Felix and the doctor/nurse guy.
GH has sunk to an all-time low and unfortunately, Michael Easton’s new character looks like a failure as well.

PP did license the characters from ABC and loaned them to GH. I know that MIchael Easton signed with Prospect park. I don’t think that RH or KA signed with them but they played their OLTL roles on GH which were licensed to PP. They are in their right to want them back for the OLTL reboot. I agree with them, GH messed up some of the characters and killed off Cole, Hope and baby Victor. also, the tomas/lorenzo story was stupid. i don’t think it was right to kill off characters that were on loan to GH. Now on OLTL, they have referenced Todd being in Port Charles but so far nothing of Starr or JOhn McBain. So should OLTL pull a Dallas and act like the Port Charles things didn’t happen or continue with what GH did to these characters.
Raquel – PP nullified it’s contracts with ALL of the OLTL actors during the time when they could not produce a show, as promised. So why wouldn’t ME, KA and RH accept the work and contracts offered to them by ABC? I think fans tend to forget the fact that these actors are actually human beings, with families to support, bills to pay, and generally being allowed to live their lives….including the right to work. Based on the news that PP released today, more and more it’s looking like PP is running a shell game – and I’m glad the actors accepted the deals that were offered them – rather than having the rug pulled out from under them, once again, at the hands of PP.
When the character of Caleb was first introduced, he had a twin brother named Michael. Michael was a priest, but the two were never seen together and it was eventually revealed they were the same person. Stephen Clay was just a fabricated persona Caleb used to return to Port Charles.
I do not blame the writers, they had no choice but to make the changes. Everyone would have been better off with the original characters. It would have been a great cross promotion for the Prospect Park shows. It is a shame they could not make it work for the fans.

This will work. I like the chemistry between the two actors so… Do I like another evil twin/lookalike storyline? No. You live long as I do, you see this chestnut a lot. I still would have wanted the actor to come back as the new Jason Morgan. This would allow Sam to have her baby’s father return and forward new directions (outside the mob) for the Jason character we needed.

I am loving it!!!! Michael is an amazing and taleted actor. He had me wanting to know more about this new character. The chemistry betweent him and Kelly is supernatural. Michael I could have sworne in the store he said he is one year older then Stephen, I could be wrong ? so far I like what I see and for all of those haters give the storyline some time it may grow on you. lord knows I hated the Todd Manning storyline on one life to live for years but because of the talents of the actors and writers I was forced to admit enjoyment of the work I was viewing. Hopefully it will not take others as long for this new, mysterious and bold storyline.

OK Before ME played McBain he was on GH. he came back as the twin of a now dead character. Mcbain is on a different show in a different state. Sure OLers want him returned but Michael Easton wants to live in California. get over it.. Would people complain so much if the actor just got a new jobon a new show the same way Stenven B did . he is on Y&R now jason is dead. I see the on screen chemistry between Sam and whatever he is called. I am happy it looks like rafe will finally have a family. of course PP won’t allow ABC to use the names ,so whats the big deal.Most soap actors change soaps. I hated RH as Paul Ryan on As the world turns , not because of the actors but the writers , but I got over it. You will also. . Be happy soaps are on the way up. You know. I tried to watch yesterday’s GH last night. It’s like a cannon went through it. After that ridiculously amazing anniversary arc, ABC jams in The Chew, throws in three familiar actors as new characters with minimal intro, it’s a whole new and different hospital so I wasn’t sure where they were…..and the show looks like a copy of the OLTL and AMC re-boots.
They should have sent GH on it’s way after that perfect anniversary and just closed it up with the Nurses Ball and a goodbye then restarted this new thing as something completely new.
OR send it off to hulu.com to take it to the next level.
The whole thing was so chaotic and irritating that I think I”m off GH again.
So, in the end, ABC successfully destroyed their once stellar soap line-up. ABC placated us with the anniversary to distract us from hulu, then jammed The Chew into their last remaining soap as the ultimate FU to it’s last stragglers of devoted viewers.
TV is dead…..hulu’s retake has proven that it’s a dead medium. TV is as broken as Congress.
This isn’t the fault of the dream team RC/FV – this is NOT their doing I’m sure b/c this is about the PP lawsuit and ABC – so ABC blew up it’s last soap. Probably not by accident either.

Michael Easton/Kristen Alderson/Roger Howarth have all moved out to the west coast. Easton and Alderson both have said they will not move back to the east coast.

Funny the first week of the online shows we heard how they were doing great numbers but have heard nothing about week 2 and are almost at the end of week 3. I would guess that means the numbers dropped from week 1 for the online OLTL and AMC

I’m sorry, but GH has become unwatchable for me. Too far – fetched, too campy. And too many revolving, returning, and reengineered characters. I will miss his John McBain character, but another variation on a theme of Caleb Morley? It’s just too preposterous and, well, silly.

You are all over this board blaming Prospect Park and calling Oltl fans crybabies. Um, it is ABC’s fault that GH is the hot mess that it is, NOT Prospect Park’s.
The 3 characters were LOANED to GH — LOANED. ABC/GH knew that if PP got the funding needed to revive the shows then they would rightfully want their characters back (and they paid a handome fee to the rights of those characters in the first place).
ABC/GH were betting on the fact that PP would not get the funding and it backfired on them. They’re the idiots. Then when PP tried to compromise and share the characters it was ABC who whined like the little babies they are and said no.
I’ll admit that none of us know the full story of what happened and that PP might not be completely blameless either, but stop with your nonsense that everything is PP’s fault.
I am glad all three are back..it’s gonna take using some imagination to move forward but I have nothing but confidence in Ron & Franks talents..but Michael hair needs some closer attention (I now work in accounting but am a former hairdresser)..the hairdressing staff needs to address this issue!! sorry I am work so I am talking too much bizness 2day..his hair flying out of the ponytail was buggin me last night when I watched..Todd’s hair is cool….his acting convinced me he was a bad guy, he doesn’t need the scar anymore..not sure I like Kristen’s character yet..

I am hoping that the person watching at the church will turn out to be Rafe Sr. There is story gold there. Why Rafe Sr could have been thought to be dead. And he would have to do penance with Rafe jr. Also Kelly had good chemistry with him. There needs to be a tri angle for Kelly and Michael.
There are already three triangles on the canvas. I devoutly hope they’ll refrain from a fourth. And I doubt it was Rafe in the church.
We all know that Caleb did not die. I believe he is the one at the church. My thought is that he will impersonate Sylas. Either way, I was not impressed with the way he looked, or acted. He seems very dark.

Technically if we’re going on past history of Port Charles Stephen Clay is a mask for Caleb, so is it possible this is Caleb? Think of it- he just shows up and what a perfect way to get near Sam (Livvie) and his son. No matter how it works out I love Michael and I love Michael and Kelly together! I think they have amazing chemistry!
I didn’t like his look with the pony tail and goofy expessions… but I trust RC FV and I think they will make all 3 interesting characters! I love GH and I am sticking with it for the duration!!!

The stench of sour grapes is overwhelming here. The Jolies and the Jasams have to learn that life goes on, and to let it go. It’s a shame that, because of the PP fiasco, the previous characters are not allowed a reference even by name – but I think they’ve put together the very best they can in a bad situation. Even as adversaries, the chemistry between ME and KeMo is palpable. I for one am open minded enough to give everybody a chance here – and yes, I still watch OLTL online, and I like very much the work that SB is doing on Y&R – and can’t wait to see these EXTREMELY popular pairings play out on my tv screen once again.

I love ME but never thought he had chemistry with KM, the ponytail and glasses make me think of Sabrina before her transformation and when I watch OLTL which by the way is rockin’ I can’t help but wish ME was working opposite MA again.I am grateful to have ME back on my screen I would be happier if he were on my computer screen.

I really don’t like to judge the new characters so soon, but the whole thing is just so ridiculous. To suddenly bring 3 well liked actors back in completely different roles within a few weeks time is so preposterous. Their sad efforts to make the characters look “different” just doesn’t cut it! For me, in the scope of just a few weeks time, GH has gone from AWESOME(ie: annervirsary shows, bringing back old characters, etc.) to contrived and nonsensical. While I enjoyed seeing the OLTL characters appear on GH, they had no business giving them contracts when they did not own the rights to the characters. I am almost as disappointed in this show as I am with the “new” OLTL!
It IS what it IS can we MOVE on now? I am so happy to have ME, RH & KA back on GH. Really have they been on long enough to judge? I don’t think so. But I am bias I luv ME and accept him in ANY role as long as he is on my screen. Eye candy that CAN act. I say.
My opinion on this is…they were brought into GH as existing characters which also brought GH’s ratings up by attracting new viewers (including me). Their value was those characters. Now their value is unknown and unknown means that when their story ends or characters break up….they could be let go from the show. The new viewers that came on with them have their shows back and since the (former) Llanview 3 are no longer those characters & the ratings will drop, some new viewers will leave as the reason they started watching was for those characters.
It’s unfortunate that GH couldn’t come to a compromise with PP and instead decided to violate the agreement they made.
In the couple days that I have seen my favorite actors in these new roles, I can honestly say, it’s horrible. The new looks (though Kristen’s hair looks beautiful) are bad. ‘Kiki’s’ boyfriend is Michael’s brother, so in one scene she’s making out with him in front of Michael – Kristen’s real boyfriend. Poor taste. Michael’s look has demasculated him. Poor. Roger’s hair is awful with his complexion. The whole thing is really bad. Not sure how much more I’ll be able to watch.
I agree. Not only did they violate the agreement with Prospect Park, they destroyed great storylines from OLTL. It ended on such a positive note last year and a major cliffhanger. It’s unfortunate b/c I would love to see them back full-time on OLTL. Roger Howarth is the only one who will be doing both shows. Kristen Alderson will be meeting with Prospect Park next month, for possible shows. They dishonored the OLTL characters and storylines, and the only reason why I started watching GH. As a result, I will not be watching and do not like the characters they created for them. They integrated well with the GH actors, and now everyone has to pretend like they’ve never seen them before. Doesn’t make any sense. I’ll continue to support Prospect Park and OLTL on Hulu. GH’s ratings will decline as a result of this poor decision. It’s obvious that ABC is doing everything in their power to ensure OLTL won’t succeed, which is why they’re being sued by Prospect Park.
I decided to watch on Wednesday, didn’t watch Monday’s or Tuesday’s show because of the promoting of The Chew. I will never watch anything that promotes that program that caused all these problems. I have a problem with ABC shoving something in our face. I really think the new characters are stupid. It’s unfortunate, they are great actors but it is just to unbelievable and Frank and Ron really blew it.
I like the new character but then again I have been an Easton fan since he was on Days of our Lives. This character will never be liked by Jolie ( John and Natalie ) fans and some OLTL fans to them Easton belongs (like he is their property) on OLTL. I am so happy he is free and on GH welcome Dr. Silas Clay.
The reason I started watching GH was because of the OLTL crossovers. I am still watching. I like Tracy a lot! Didn’t like that they had to bring in The Chew on GH. They could of thought of something else. The Chew must need the ratings because they are
