Michael Easton Reveals He Has Begun Taping At GH: First Episode Back To Air March 18th!

Michael Easton fans around the globe are very excited to welcome him back to General Hospital in his new role, which is still tightly under wraps.
After the bombshell a few weeks ago from GH executive producer Frank Valentini, complete with a little video ditty revealing Easton is on his way back to Port Charles, the exchange on-camera between the actor and the EP said they will see each other in a few weeks.
Looks like that turned out to be dead on! On Easton’s official facebook page on Friday, he shared the cover of his first script back: General Hospital show #13518 with its shoot date of February 26th. and its airdate of March 18th. Easton added his own touch with the words: “And So It Begins …”
And so it does begin GH fans! Excited to know Michael’s debut is only a few weeks away? Who do you think will be his love interest? Who will he be related to? Will he even be related to anyone? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair
After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!
In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.
Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.
MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP
Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!
At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY
Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”
LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER
In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

I am beyond excited to have him back on GH! I’m sure whoever he portrays, he’ll do it brilliantly!
I’m beyond thrilled he’s back. I want his love interest to be Sam!
I’m not sure who I want him related to. Anyone bUT Sam!
Happy! Thank God they rectified the big mistake of letting him go. ..now pair him up with Sam, he’s the only one she has hot chemistry with.
Hopefully his love interest will be Anna Devane! I would also be happy with another Kelly Monaco pairing but I doubt they will go there again.
I hope that he is a good guy Cassadine, Valentin or perhaps a recast Stefan, or even another of Mikkos’ “bastards” as Helena always called Alexis; but a Cassadine. He would be the heir, that Nikolas assumes that he now is. Would also be a great set up for a potential love interest for Laura, as the two Actors’ gorgeous features, hair color, etc would make for a great combo, and definitely a pair that could be fiery and bring that needed passion for Laura, Genie and Micheal would completely tear up the screen together, and about time Laura was paired with someone her own age, I can see the ratings begin to soar already!!!
I share your sense of anticipation and excitement, Buddy Brown! At this point, if Easton is not a long-last Cassadine, I think I shall be more than a bit disappointed, because everything about him would certainly lend itself to being part of that legendary GH dynasty! Having said that, I’m just delighted to be welcoming him back to Port Charles in whatever way, shape or form that remains to be seen.
Michael will be Valentin. He will show up mysteriously at the reading of Helena’s will and will get the bulk of her estate and Nick will end up shoveling the shat in the stables!
Well, Nathan was blabbering on about someone named Claudette but later claimed he was talking about the family poodle.
Maybe Claudette had a sex change operation and she is now known as Claude who will be played by Michael Easton.
@Timmm….I think it would be great if Nik, Hayden and Spence ended up penniless and had to live in one-room over Kelley’s! That would give a whole new meaning to the term “townie” for that smug little Cassadine!

As I said on a previous comment, Claudette will most likely be a former, Haute Classe, lover who left a bitter taste in Nathan’s mouth. If this is the case, MadMaddie has had her hand in the cookie jar…LOL.

I’m so excited I can’t wait to see Michael Eastoin Back on GH. He should have never been left go in the first place. I’m Hoping Michael is put with Maura West as a Love interest. I was hoping they were going to go that Route before he left.

TPTB built up suspense nicely. Here’s hoping they don’t blow it! Why they let ME go in the first place is beyond me.
It might have been a publicity gimmick…make you think he left the show but really didnt…took time off to do an outside project then returns after a few months as a new character because the last one was too bland and didnt really work…just a thought.
Looking forward to seeing Easton on GH – again. Whoever and whatever his character will be, I hope he is not paired with Kelly. They are probably as over it as I am.

I agree, su. I don’t understand why, each time a new character graces the stage, he or she needs to be set up with dome one. I think said character should find his sea legs first….especially, Michael Easton…..considering this his umpteenth attempt. Let’s give him some rope. Good post!
I am happy for ME fans that they love the actor, but I have to question why we need this guy back for the THIRD time! Really? The show is bloated as it is, and we’re now about to give ME his fourth or fifth character to play when the GH vets that spent years off the show can barely get a recurring scene once a month! Lucy/LH can’t even get a scene on the show. Scotty is barely on once every other month and he has two kids that should be part of the teen and young twentysomething set.
I agree. I am happy for Mr. Easton, but as a fan disappointed that we cannot get a contract for Tristan Rogers, or anything announced for 18-year vet Becky Herbst. Both are more important to GH, for me any way. And yes to Scotty. Also to Mac and Felicia!

It’s almost scary how that woman just doesn’t age. She is every bit as fresh and lovely as the say she arrived in Port Charles thirty some years ago.
Hi Harry. Yes I did, and she looks wonderful. Just a breath of fresh air! And she arrived OVER 30 years ago, back in 1984. You know, when GH was great and #1.
I dont mind Michael returning. He is a great RE=edition but I do agree with you that there are so many characters now. Trim the fat and use our beloved vets! Roger Howarth and Kin Shriner are gold together! USE THEM!
What this show needs is a NEW EP who will NOT force the writers to write story for his pets. It’s not a sustainable way to produce a show. This show has a SEVERELY bloated cast with a bunch of newbies, Emmy winners from other shows who just do not belong and don’t work on the GH canvas, and beloved vets popping up once every couple months. Guaranteed…if this show started centering story around Robert, Anna, this new doctor who is hopefully their son, Mac, Felicia, the Q’s, etc, ratings would rise. Some scenes with Frank’s pets are SO forced, awkward, and out of place….you just know Jean and Shelly have been given a directive from above to write story for them. It’s a very thankless job to try and make some kind of cohesive narrative out of Ron Carlivati’s last work on GH, and although I don’t agree with all of their choices (still TOO MUCH MOB), I feel individual scenes are much better, people act like people, not everything is plot driven, the pacing is better, etc. Trim the fat is right! Valentini is often praised for bringing the show in on budget or under budget…think how happy the network suits would be if he got rid of about 10 salaries (at least 10)!! I don’t like to see people out of work, but this show needs to seriously clean house. These are actors, they rebound, they get other jobs and move on.

ME had a new character in Silas and that bombed, so why bring this dude back for his fourth or fifth character? GH has a rich 53 year history and there are characters that we need on the show like Scotty, Lucky, Serena Baldwin, Steven Lars Webber, Tommy and Simone Hardy, Tommy Hardy Jr., Mike Webber, Annie Logan, ec… GH, IMO, does NOT need ME!
I love M.E. and am looking forward to his seeing him back on G.H. or anywhere for that matter.
JMHO. I think Michael had great chemistry with Erin Hershey Presley who played the now deceased Alison Barrington. I wish they would bring her back to GH in a new role . Erin was primarily in Port Charles but when she returned to GH with her son Rafe in 2013, where she was killed by Caleb Morely/Stephen Clay, M.E.’s sexy, sensual, vampire from Port Charles,( until GH writers revised history, demystified and relegated him to a plain old run of the mill psychopath).
Most fans of PC and Caleb/Livvie think Michael should be paired with Kelly Monaco when he returns to G.H. I thought they had something going on while PC was alive, but I mostly credit Michael with their chemistry because he infused his character with such unabashed,raw sexuality. one couldn’t get enough.
In the last chapter or arc of Port Charles a friendship of sorts had started to build between Stephen/Caleb and Alison and I thought they had good chemistry together. Later in the arc there was a scene in which Caleb and Alison made hot and i do mean scorching hot love, because of a love spell (on the same order of A Mid Summer Nightls Dream), that Livvie cast on Caleb via his own powered- by- the- supernatural, family heirloom ring which was temporarily in her possession. A wish that got fulfilled with the wrong girl and which resulted in her getting pregnant with “Rafe”.
After watching that scene I thought Alison should have been Caleb’s love interest all along. The other actress I thought Michael had great chemistry with was Kassie DePaiva (Blair) when Michael was John McB in OLTL. I never did think there was much cpmmection between Michael and Melissa Archer. Again, just the opinion of a devoted ABC soapster
I loved Erin Hershey Presley and they could bring her back in a different role. Maybe as Michael’s new characters ex or current girlfriend? NO SAM AND MICHAEL PAIRING. Thats old news and was done too many times! I always said Kassie should be rehired as Carly’s long lost sister.
I completely agree with you on your position about ME and Port Charles and that crazy hot sex in the barn scene between Caleb and Alison but I absolutely Loved him with Melissa Archer. I am so glad he is back on GH! Hope he is a Cassidine.

@CeeCee……I had the same notion last week when that mysterious someone was following Anna…..Griffin could be either the child she was expecting with Duke that she supposedly “miscarried” due to Julian’s violent actions or even better, as another Scorpio offspring.
Yes, Shay…that makes a lot of sense. If you read Alan’s post, you will find that he makes a great argument, as well. There was much ado when the Devanes were also inhabiting Pine Valley. As Allen said, Griffin could be Alex’s ( Anna’s twin) son. My Gran agrees with him. She also thinks he could be Aiden’s brother….which would mean he is Lyndsey’s (another sister) son.
She Aldo said that Anna could have had Griffin during her amnesia travesty and just doesn’t remember.
This is actually the only plot-line which has my attention, in a long time.
@CeeCeeGirl….Well, by reputation, Valentin was supposed to be the worst of the worst Cassadine….the mere notion of him even gave Helena pause! Hence unless there is some sort of revisionism at play, if Easton is indeed this most dastardly of villains, then he shall be pure evil….which would work with his dark, brooding good looks. (Oh, speaking of babies, congratulations!!!! I sent you a separate post with my well wishes, but I’m not sure you received it!)

I do find this latest Anna development totally intriguing, too….I first considered that Griffin could have something to do with her AMC storyline, but how do the writers get around the legal aspects of referencing her character(s) during their time in Pine Valley???? Hmmmm…..Between this arc and Michael Easton’s return, there’s finally something exciting to anticipate, although admittedl, what of our dear diva, Tracy? Oh, my…….

The cruelty of it is the fact that when I joined these sites, I was convalescing after a difficult pregnancy and delivery. I tend to have large babies for my body….almost 2 years ago, I had explained my malady, after a few months of commenting. I had mentioned to Shay, I believe, that I would have a hard time conceiving again. This person took note of it.
So, the insensitive, purposely spiteful comment stung a bit.
Well, more power to this person. What can I say? No heart, no soul. I am fine.
These boards are supposed to be friendly, humaine places where we share thoughts. Sometimes it is hard to keep ‘personal things’ so personal. LOL.
I hope the Nina story (not being able to conceive) goes somewhere positive. I think Maxie is a good friend…very proud of her. I feel Nina’s pain…on a different level. I am a mother and know the joy of being one. So many women, couples who desperately want a child out there who cannot conceive…to make light of a serious situation and woeful subject, does not only affect me, but so many other women.

@Rose….I’ve also noticed this recently disturbing trend on at least one other usually pleasant soap website, where I read spoilers/recaps, but don’t post. In that example, the remarks weren’t necessarily about the Sam vs. Liz diehards or reflective of any particular characters, but just personally rude to certain contributors. Perhaps people are just so frustrated with the state of GH that they are lashing out at the wrong people or it’s reflective of a generally nasty mood currently taking hold in this country, but whatever the case, it’s truly uncalled for! I really miss the fun and festive atmosphere that once pervaded these pages….even when I didn’t have the time to post, I would always check the threads just to see what my favorites had to say, and maybe have a few laughs. Now it is sometimes almost done by rote, although I stick with it, because I consider many of these individuals to be friends, and I want to keep up with them, plus support this website along with what I hope shall be better days ahead for GH.
Hi Rose…I noticed the negative Emma comments…I too was beyond surprised at the negative reaction. I didn’t notice anything negative about Rebecca H-Liz. I havent heard if she resigned.Hope so!

March 18 is a Friday: sounds like a cliffhanger to me! Can’t wait to see what the scribes come up with. This guy has so much charisma and charm. Very wise to bring him back before he is snapped up elsewhere.
I don’t like when they take a character back from the dead and make them out to be a completely new person. I find it insulting. They should never have let him go in the first place.
I hope it isn’t a short stay as his old character coming back to help Kiki
through her recovery.

This time I can agree with you about leaving him single for a while, or two. And even then it would have to be someone as intelligent as Laura or Anna to turn his head. Plus both need to get out of their ruts. Would like him mysterious but not the mobster, bod boy kind of wicked.

I can’t wait to see Michael, he’s my favorite daytime actor. I would love to see him paired with Jordan, or someone totally new. Under no circumstances do I want to see Melissa Archer on General Hospital, she and Michael were terrible as a couple.
I agree with you 1000%!!! Jordan and ME would look great together, and there simply is no need to pair ME with Melissa Archer again. They NEVER worked. And boy did they try, and try, and try, and try to make them work on OLTL. Not at all interested in that Merry-Go-Round.
Michael Easton and Renee Goldsberry raised the bar, when it comes to daytime couples. The pairings he’s had since Renee are dead on arrival. Jordan could bring a similar chemistry he had with Renee, she’s the only one I see in the cast that could work with ME. I’ve read suggestions like Laura, Nina, Ava, and I don’t see any of those characters real possibilities.
I definitely cannot see the wisdom in re-pairing ME with either Ava or Nina….neither worked well the last time around….they are both poison for him!!!!! Also not high on the Jordan suggestion…besides she seems to be stuck on Andre. Lastly, I would love to have Laura get a love interest, whether it be Easton or someone else. Same for Anna. Both are so lovely and deserve some romance!

I really beleive he is playing Valentin Cassadine and will be paired with Laura and he will battle his nephew Nikolas for control of the castle since he’ll be the oldest living heir.

It will be Laura. Once again she will fall for a Cassadine BUT her and Michael should have great chemistry.
Guys I just don’t see the Laura / ME thing working. At this point it’s hard to see Laura with anyone because they’ve turned her into a moralizing matron. This actress has history and range. Give her something to do besides babysitting and giving advice.
I’m THRILLED to pieces that Michael is returning to GH! He has been missed so, so much.
I do hope that they pair him and his new character with someone worthy. Quite honestly, ME has NEVER has the connection and irresistible spark that he had with Renee Elise Goldsberry. They were so explosive on OLTL. Ideally, I’d LOVE for Valentini to beg and plead for her to come back to daytime and promise that she’d be paired with ME. She’s currently the star of Hamilton on Broadway. Once her run ends, Valentini should be busting down her door, begging her to come over to GH.
As for those currently on GH, I’d LOVE for ME’s new character to be paired with Jordan! They’d be hot! And it wouldn’t be a bad deal if Jordan and Renee Elise Goldsberry were actually sisters! That would be quite cool. I think ME would also be great with Rebecca Budig. She’s such a cutie and I love the spunk her character has!
There should be NO MORE pairings with Kelly Monaco. They should also avoid pairing him with Ava and Nina. All three of these ladies have been with ME before, and it didn’t work. Let’s avoid it again, please. I think they just need to start fresh with ME.

However, I will grant you that anything is made believable on soaps…so, it could turn out that way.
I know that what I have said earlier, and will repeat again sounds far-fetched, but I have this feeling that Hayden is Edward’s illegitimate daughter. If not, then she is somehow very closely related to the Quartermaines.
Hayden just seems to have too much of a vested interest in this family. Just a thought.

Im glad to see ME return to GH, I thnk the show will be explosive if they could get Renee Goldsberry to return as a doctor or a cop and the be paired together. They really had the screen steaming on OLTL, they were really hot together.
