Mishael Morgan Speaks on Her Y&R Return; Is Legal Eagle Amanda Sinclair Representing Aristotle Dumas?

Next week, as previously announced Mishael Morgan returns for another guest arc at her old stomping grounds on The Young and the Restless. Morgan first pops back up beginning with the Thursday, May 16th episode of the top-rated daytime drama series.

But what bring her back to Genoa City and to stir the pot this time? Well, according to Morgan in a newly-posted interview with TV Insider, she is back to represent one of her clients in a legal matter.

As the Daytime Emmy-winning actress put it, “Well, she’s always representing somebody, and she represents high-powered people in society. So, Amanda’s coming back to represent somebody very mysterious, definitely high-powered, and she’s going to make some waves while she’s there.”

Even though she hasn’t appeared on Y&R, Morgan is keenly aware of how fans of the series think her return will also bring into the fold the much-talked about but-not-yet seen, Aristotle Dumas. But who is playing Dumas? Is it the incoming Days of our Lives favorite, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera)? Is it Jason Thompson in some kind of dual role? Could it be the role of Tucker McCall last played by Trevor St. John going under a different name, or could it be none of the above?

Mishael teased, “I was at my sister’s bridal shower (last month) and on her fiancé’s side, there was a fan there who told me all of her theories. It was very fun chatting with somebody who was an avid watcher and understanding of what’s going on. And between her and a couple of their family members, they had a lot of different theories as to why Amanda would be coming back and who she would be representing. And it was funny to watch. So, we’ll see.”

So, just who will Morgan share scenes with this time back? One cast member will be Melissa Ordway (Abby), who when Amanda last saw her was making out with Amanda’s then boyfriend, Devon. Since that time, Devon and Abby married and share a child. Mishael shares, “Amanda thinks, ‘I might as well bump into Abby and make her uncomfortable. She does her rounds a little bit.”

Morgan also shared she had scenes right when she started her visit this time to The Young and the Restless with Sean Dominic (Nate), Christel Khalil (Lily) and Bryton James (Devon) and eventually, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), since Amanda and Phyllis are close-pals.

The in-demand actress/writer has kept very busy when not doing guest arcs onY&R. Earlier this year, Mishael appeared as Shari in the Hearts Around the Table movies for Hallmark, and then a second film series, Shari’s Second Act.

So, do you think that Amanda is legally representing Aristotle Dumas? If so, who is going to play Dumas, or do you think this has nothing to do with that mysterious character, but someone else? Share your theories via the comment section.

She’s representing Phyllis in a wrongful dismissal suit

Yep, my guess is Dumas is her client.

Rather tired of her exiting and returning and all the fan fare this pattern generates.

She’s recurring, so she comes in and plays when they ask and/or she’s willing to.

I hope she reads Abby and Devon for the slimy cheaters they are. Two pigs.

So glad to have her back, albeit temporarily—aside—These thespians should learn to pronounce foreign words/names correctly—Dumas—Dew-mah—not Dee-mah
Aristotle Dumas—Hmmm Greek given name with a French surname.

Sherri Shepherd

Sherri Shepherd, who sadly saw her daytime talk show Sherri canceled after only four seasons, is already making moves for the next leg of her career, starting with two major announcements this week.

First, Shepherd will be heading to Broadway to play none other than Genie in the hit musical Aladdin! She will be having a limited run in the musical beginning October 16 and running through January 3.

General Hospital fans know that earlier this year, the characters of Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) traveled to New York, where they met Gio’s old friend, Michael James Scott who had played Genie the longest. In fact, Scott played the character for over 4000 performances before bowing out in May of this year. On GH, Michael later came to visit Gio and Emma in Port Charles and performed at The Savoy.

Heather Tom

The Bold and the Beautiful’s six-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Heather Tom (Katie Logan) is set to visit You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel for a live conversation on Wednesday, September 9 beginning at 7pm ET/4pm PT.

As previously announced, Heather is once again nominated at the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series category. Heather is vying for the gold statuette along with: Stacy Haiduk (Kristen DiMera), Days of our Lives, Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), Beyond the Gates, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers), The Young and the Restless and Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Beyond the Gates.

If Heather were to win, she would become the most-winning actress in Daytime Emmy history breaking her tie with Erika Slezak (ex-Viki, One Life to Live). Will she do it? Stay tuned on October 30th.

THE FASHION HOUSE WARS

Meanwhile on B&B, Heather is front and center in story in 2026 as Katie Logan has launched her own fashion house and brand over the last several months named Logan with the help and backing of Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).

Now at war with her sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and the Forresters, Katie is doing everything she can against the odds to make it a success, and she has even so far poached Brooke’s daughter, Hope (Annika Noelle) from the competition to become her lead designer. That move set-up fireworks between the Logan sisters and even banished Katie from the family.

In recent scenes, Katie has also spent her time attempting to protect her son, Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) from the likes of Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock), especially after Will and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) broke-up.

PROTECTING WILL SPENCER

Katie doesn’t trust Dylan’s intentions where her son is concerned, and in key scenes just met Dylan’s mother, Darcy (Kelly Sullivan), where the two confronted each other about their children. Will Katie’s meddling just completely backfire on her? Looks like it thus far!

How will things all play out for Katie? Will she lose everything including her son, or come out on top with her fashion house? The multi-talented Tom, also has the distinction in daytime as being the only female performer who also writes and directs on the soap opera in which she appears. Quite the feat.

Be with us for this very special chat with one of the greatest actresses to ever appear on in the genre. Make sure to join us with your questions for Heather and we may just ask it during the live broadcast.  If you can’t be with us live, but have a question you would like potentially posed to her, you can drop it in the comment section below. And, for upcoming celebrity features, livestreams and special event coverage, make sure to “subscribe” to the Michael Fairman Channel.

So, would you like to see Heather make actress Emmy history by winning a seventh Daytime Emmy? Do you hope Katie will keep up the good fight against Forrester Creations? Do you think Katie will be proven right about Dylan? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’s’ Braedyn Bruner Reveals Her Daytime Emmy-Nominated Scenes and How Emma is Getting Her ‘Edge’ Back

Published

By

Braedyn Bruner

The 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards are now just a little over a month and a half away, and General Hospital’s Braedyn Bruner picked up her first nomination for her performances as Emma Drake.

Braedyn received a nod in the Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series category along with: Al Calderon (ex-Javi, DAYS) Alice Halsey (ex-Rachel, DAYS) Giovanni Mazza (Gio, GH) Ambyr Michelle (Eva, BTG) and Arielle Prepetit (Naomi, BTG).  The winner will be announced in a ceremony held on October 30 in Hollywood, California.

Now, for the first time, Bruner spoke about what she chose to put on her nominated reel that landed her a chance to go for gold. The 25-year-old actress discussed it when she appeared on an all-new episode of the That’s Awesome with Steve Burton (Jason, GH) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH), that dropped this Sunday, September 6.

In speaking of her nominated work, Bruner shared how she went about approaching submitting her reel, which was a conglomeration of scenes from the eligibility year and her first on GH. “The first two scenes on my reel are with Anna (Finola Hughes). The first one is in her office after she arrests Emma at the Quartermaine crypt,” explained Braedyn to her GH co-stars. “I felt like, for me as an actor, that was the first time I understood this character really well. I felt like I had become her in some sort of way, and the things that she stands for and she is willing to fight for.”

Bruner continued, “I also love doing scenes with Finola Hughes. The second scene is with Anna also, sort of a similar setting, but a different time of the year, but it was a scene about what Emma stands for, and how much she wants to be like her grandmother, and how influential and important she is to her. I also had included scenes with Gio as well from the post-Nurses’ Ball fallout. We had a lot of wonderful things that I got to choose from.”

Reflecting on now being on the legendary ABC soap opera for a year and a half, Braedyn told Steve and Bradford, “It’s so crazy looking back on where I started, to where I am now, and I think, I’m so grateful for this job. All I ever wanted to do is to tell stories, and even just saying that I have an Emmy nomination is crazy, because that just feels like a great bonus and such an honor. So, that’s really, really cool.”

Since coming to GH, Braedyn said she felt support all along the way behind the scenes. “I love the relationships that I formed on this show,” she shared. “I always tell people that when they ask me what is it like working on General Hospital, I just always say that I’ve truly never been on a set where every person that you encounter is a joy to be around, helpful and kind and supportive. and wants you to succeed.”

As for what’s ahead for Emma, viewers know that music executive Simon (Grady Eldridge) has been asking Emma’s boyfriend Gio and her friend and his musical partner, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to play up a “relationship” when they are on stage performing to help sell them as a recording and performing duo, which may cause problems for Emma in the very near future.

“I love that she’s (Emma) getting her edge back,” confirmed Bruner. “I feel like there had been a period where I was just being really cordial and kind. And that’s fun, but I missed the kind of attitude that she had when she came on the show as this animal rights activist and fighting for justice. I missed that. So, I’ve been really enjoying what we are shooting now. ”

You can check out Braedyn’s guest appearance on the That’s Awesome podcast below.

Now let us know, what do you think about Braedyn’s choices for her Emmy scenes that landed her an Emerging Talent nomination? Do you want Emma to have her edge back? Do you think that Gio and Trina might actually wind up together and Emma will be the one left out in the cold? Stay tuned and weigh-in via the comment section.
