Former Days of our Lives actress, Molly Burnett (Ex-Melanie Layton), who has previously filled in for GH’s Kirsten Storms in the role of Maxie in 2016, when Storms was on a short leave from the ABC daytime drama, will be seen playing the role again in two upcoming episodes of the show.

Storms took to Twitter to answer fans inquiry: “To address the internet rumors, no I’m not leaving GH. I had to take 2 sick days due to the flu and that is all. I also recently re-signed with the show and I’m very happy to be continuing with Maxie’s journey.”

Burnett will be stepping into the role on the upcoming June 1st an June 4th episode.

So, glad to hear Kirsten signed a new contract with GH, and that Burnett is helping out to keep Maxie’s story burning? Comment below.

I have posted my glee over Molly returning to GH, even for a short couple of days on another site……said site and other soaps sites have disappeared from my email. ….
So, is this a new format? Soap fans which I had been interacting for a few years send me comments, but I cannot open the mail for a response.
Anyway, at this point, I prefer Molly….for some reason, Kirsten is not delivering….lost what she had.

Hi Celia, I also support Molly’s return. I can’t stand the dynamic between Kirsten and Wes Ramsey. Maybe Molly will be an easier fit, even temporarily. What do u think of the new site? Very pretty, but I’m having trouble on the FEATURED SHOWS tab. Can’t switch to another show easily yet. But, I like the renovation.

Hi, Soaphound, We will all get used to the ‘renovation’….I’m just so happy, elated, actually, to have reconnected with you guys….I feared the worst. It’s just a mite distracting with all the adds that pop up…..did you see, listen to Mr. Fairman’s new video? He popped up, LOL. He truly does Timberlake justice. Love your voice ( talent) Mr. Fairman….and, I’m not just saying that to get brownie points. LOL. I watched the video several times already. Ooopsie….sorry, Soaphound….I love Molly…I wish she’d come back to DOOL. As far as Maxie and Peter? I doubt she will touch him even… Read more »

Steve Burton Confirms His Exit From General Hospital

Steve Burton has spoken and after so much speculation, the two-time Daytime Emmy-winning star has confirmed he is out as General Hospital’s Jason Morgan.

In his post on his Instagram account on Tuesday, Steve shared that he was let go by the ABC daytime drama series due to their vaccine mandate and that even though he applied for medical and religious exemptions those were denied.  Thus, he has to exit his role.

In story, viewers saw on Monday, that Jason is MIA from being under the rubble of the cave that collapsed in Jason’s attempt to apprehend Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

In his post, Burton shared the following: “I know there has been a lot of rumors and speculations about me and General Hospital and I wanted you to hear it from me, personally. Unfortunately, General Hospital has let me go because of the vaccine mandate. I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions and both of those were denied, which, you know, hurts, but, this is also about personal freedom to me. I don’t think anyone should lose their livelihood over this. But with that being said, you know me. I’ll always be grateful for my time at General Hospital I love it there. I grew up there. I grew up with some of you, so I will always be grateful and I believe when one door closes multiple doors open. That’s always been my perspective, so I am excited to see what the future brings. ”

Steve went on to say, “Maybe one day when these mandates are lifted, I can return and finish my career as Jason Morgan. That would be an honor, and if not, I am going to take this amazing experience, move forward and be forever grateful. I have got to say, that I am forever grateful for your love and your support over the years. It means so much to me. Thank you. I don’t know when my last airdate is. It may have aired or it might be tomorrow or the next day. I am not sure. I want you guys to have an awesome Thanksgiving. I know it is hard, maybe, in this type of situation to be thankful or grateful, but we have so many things to be thankful about. Being grateful really is the key. Love you guys.”

The popular actor began his run as GH’s Jason Quartermaine back in 1991. Later in 1995, after a car accident he had a major personality shift and became Jason Morgan. Burton went to Y&R to play Dylan McAvoy for a four-year stint from 2013-2017, before heading back to his home at GH.

A source close to the show told Deadline that Burton’s last tape date was October 27th.

You can watch Steve’s video announcement below on his GH departure.

Ingo Rademacher Wraps His Run as General Hospital’s Jax

During today’s Monday, November 22nd episode of General Hospital, Ingo Rademacher made his exit as Jasper Jacks.

The actor who is out at the ABC daytime drama series for not adhering and disagreeing to the GH and ABC Covid-19 vaccination mandate, saw his character written-out when Jax shared his final scenes with Laura Wright’s Carly and Cynthia Watros’ Nina.

In story, Jax ran into his ex-wife Carly and informed her he was leaving Port Charles immediately to deal with business in Sydney, Australia.  He adds, he is not planning on coming back to town with this sentiment.“I’m kind of on the outs with everyone in Port Charles right now.”

Things are not be left on good terms with the exes, when Carly spouts, “You know, Jax, I thought I made it clear … my life is none of your business.” After some back and forth about their daughter Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Jax says that he is, “Happy to stay out of your life.”

Later, Jax visits Nina at Charlie’s Pub, and warns her to be careful about getting even more deeply involved with Sonny (Maurice Benard), and she deflects that there is anything going on between them, and telling Jax that her and Sonny don’t have a future together.

Rademacher’s Jax is now off the canvas of the series.

GH’s Steve Burton Becomes Emotional Remembering Stuart Damon

On Friday’s special episode of The Talk, the afternoon series hosted the Soap Hub Awards for the first time as voted on by the fans.

During the Best Actor section, where General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason) was the winner from General Hospital and John McCook (Eric) was the winner from The Bold and the Beautiful, co-host Sheryl Underwood asked Steve about the passing of Stuart Damon (Ex- Alan Quartermaine), who played his on-screen father.

He made sacrifices for us, and his family, and I want people to know that not only was he an amazing actor, he was just an amazing man and an amazing father that I look up to.”
