Next week on Days of our Lives, look for the on-screen departures of Nadia Bjorlin and John-Paul Lavoisier as their characters, Chloe and Phillip, leave Salem and head to the Big Apple, together!

This marks the end of yet another run by Bjorlin as confirmed by Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue.

Since making her debut as Chloe (better known as ‘ghoul girl’) in 1999, she stayed with the show until 2003. Nadia returned and went on recurring status from 2004-2005, and again on-contract from 2007 through 2011.

Next, following appearances in 2013, 2015, by summer of 2016, Nadia was back on contract for another run through 2019. Chloe returned to Salem in the summer of 2020 and remained on-air through most of 2023.

In story, after her attempts at rekindling her relationship with her ex Brady (Eric Martsolf), and then finding love with Xander (Paul Telfer), it all went bust. In recent episodes, Chloe learned Sarah was carrying Xander’s baby. When she admitted it to him, Xander went to be with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), leaving Chloe alone. However! In true soapy style, who should knock at her door, but her old flame, Phillip Kiriakis. With not much else to lose, Chloe agreed to move to New York City with Phillip to start their relationship and life anew.

As for JP Lavoisier, this marks the end of his short arc as Phillip. The former One Life to Live favorite, where he played Rex Balsom, was brought back to DAYS after they originally fired him, to reprise the role of Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Victor’s (the late John Aniston) son.

JP made his return during the episodes surrounding Victor Kiriakis’ memorial service. Lavoisier, previously took on the role of Phillip from 2015-2016.

So, sad to see Nadia and JP leave Days of our Lives? Would you have liked to see Phillip and Chloe’s romance connection 2.0 play out on episodes of the Peacock streaming soap opera, or do you feel that there would be just no room on the canvas at the moment to tell their story, pro? Chloe will be missed. Not so much for the Phillip stand in. Hopefully when they inevitably return in a few months, it can be the real Phillip. And maybe in the meantime they will find out that Parker (definitely a SORASed teenager by now) was always Phillip’s son, and who ever changed his paternity to the Eggman used a forged DNA test.

Don’t expect Jay Kenneth Johnson to return anytime soon. Supposedly there is bad blood between him and DAYS. Personally I like JP in the role! Chloe is already back taping I guess so her exit won’t be that long. I am guessing things won’t work and she will leave Phillip and New York and return to Salem. Perhaps with a teen age Parker in tow! I actually liked her with Brady this last time around. I would like to see a reunion between them.

Why it is bad blood between Jay and Days? What went down? I like Jay as Phillip.

Like everything else in recent Days history, it was probably bad blood with Albert Alarr. So now that he’s gone, maybe that can be resolved?

Type in the hashtag #Phloe on X and you’ll see where everyone stands on this. The story of Philip & Chloe is THE BIGGEST missed opportunity by a shortsighted and completely negligent head writer. If #Days has any prayer of salvaging the legacy and quality of this show and iconic characters like Philip & Chloe played by the original actors Jay Kenneth Johnson and Nadia Bjorlin, then Ken Corday and Janet Druker need to reinvest in a head writer that gets it and gives a damn. Invest in character development and REAL in-depth storylines written in a thoughtful way.
Jay & Nadia x Philip & Chloe, and their fans deserved a million percent better then what they got these past couple years.
Hope to see Nadia & JAY back under the direction of Janet.

I am not a Days viewer, but enjoyed John Paul Lavoisier very much on OLTL.

I would be thrilled to see him turn up on GH.

I would like to see them in a 2.0 series like they are doing with some of the cast of DOOL with Ciara and Ben, Billie Reed and Carrie and Austin

I liked Chloe and Zander

I really like Zander .he doesn’t get a break …hopefully Sarah will get smart and want him back .but she’s weird now too …

Nooooooo I like Rex Brady

Rex Brady apparently didn’t like Rex Brady. He’s apparently given up acting and taken a job as a local news anchor in Reno Nevada. So once he ends his current run on Days, you won’t be likely to see him again. Unless you live in Reno.

Yes, they are cute together

I liked Chloe and Brady

The “2.0” series, as you call it (Beyond Salem) is no longer a thing, now that Days itself has moved to Peacock. Which is why you saw the all too brief return of Bo & Hope on the main show, when that was originally going to be the plot for “Beyond Salem 3”

JP Lavoisier Would be a great Lucky Spencer on GH it’s time for lucky to come home.

Agrees!

He’s much more suited to Dillon Quartermaine.

JP’s acting style isn’t right for Dillon Either,Mike. I think he could come back as Matt Drake, Maxie’s ex husband. He’s been out of jail for a while now and he can come back and reek habit.

Matt Drake was such an inconsequential character, I doubt they would bother bringing him back. They really only brought him on in the first place so they could try to reclaim the “Shawn & Belle” thing from Days, as they had previously done when they rewrote “Steve & Kayla” as “Stefan & Katherine”. For some reason, it didn’t work so well the second time.

Also, I doubt they would bother bringing back Matt in any form, now that Patrick & Noah are both long gone (Robin & Emma also, for that matter)

Oh please no! The guy who played Rick on B&B should come back, or better yet bring back Jonathan Jackson. GH ALSO needs to bring back Lulu.If it’s Emme Rylan or Julie Berman. I like Adam as Nikolas. Tyler Christopher would be great, but he is too Irresponsible and will get recast quickly. The guy who filled in for Michael during Covid would be good, but he’s too young. He used to be Noah on Y&R.

JP should be the next Lucas on General Hospital

Glad they R gone! Dumb story line!

Yes. Chloe & phillip are a good couple l e with a lot of history, but the DOOLS head writers never gave them a chance to allow their relationship bloom. But if they leave the show, please let them return at least as a recurring status, ,, because I believe they will be back, even just for short runs. Btu, I also love looking at JP LAVOSIER ,HE IS SO HOT!

Why can’t the producers find new actors instead of changing an actor from o ne character to another?

Agreed

Maybe she can join B&B as the Quinn recast she would be perfect

I dont think anyone could replace Rena Sofer as Quinn but she might come close. Howeever, there is no way she could be Wyatts mom.

I really love Chloe and Brady together get rid of Philip or change his character please please get rid of Sarah she is so damn boring please get rid of Sarah she is really really boring not to mention ugly also get rid of Stephanie she is another very boring character give Chloe and pretty a chance those two cannot hold a relationship for nothing give them a chance.

I want chloe abs brady together.they have a great connection. Zander and Sarah belong together..sick of the writer reading these couples apart.happy Johnny is back with his true love but knowing the writer that will be short lived

Love Nadia and her Chloe character. Yes, the writers missed an opportunity to really flesh out and evolve her and the OG Phillip storyline. Used to love her with Brady, but her and Phillio should have been happily together ever since when she initially came back the first time and they were divorced. Haven’t watched DOOL really in a long time, but in keeping up through here, I can see why. They have messes up so many couples and created storyline that dint make sense. Smh. Miss the 90’s and early 2000’s writers who seem to have understood the assignment.

I would like to see Chloe and Philip reunite in the future!

Sad to see Chloe/Nadia leave.

They should stay

JP Lavoisier is so cute they should keep him

Days is getting ridiculous I been watching this soap since coming to the US in 1969 and no one gets a happy life Sara lost her baby but it was stolen now Nicole come on writers you can do better story line like Xander and Alex also let Chad get Stephanie so please let Nicole and Eric get their baby also do you keep using the same actor for different roles can’t you get newer characters

Monday on Entertainment Tonight, the second set of nominations for the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced which included the highly-coveted Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actress and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series.

ET followed suit after Extra announced the nominees, as previously reported, in the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actor and Outstanding Daytime Talk Host.

Now, five leading ladies of the soaps are vying for the gold for Lead Actress and the category marked the first-ever nominations for CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates when two actresses made the final cut. Only General Hospital is not represented among the actresses this year after Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) took home the trophy last year.
