OLTL Casting Switcheroo! Degnan in as Joey & Kelly to play mystery man!

As previously reported, Josh Kelly will not be playing Viki and Clint’s son, Joey Buchanan, in a casting switcheroo reminiscent of when OLTL cast Scott Clifton and Brett Claywell and switched their roles!

Now comes word that former As the World Turns star, Tom Degnan (Ex-Riley/Adam) is the new Joey B. and that Josh Kelly will premiere with the show but in a new and mysterious role who is said to be  “charming and handsome and will shake up the Llanview scene.”

OLTL Executive Producer Frank Valentini explains the swap: “After auditioning a talented group of guys for the role of Joey, we are excited to announce that not one but two of them will be joining the cast of One Life to Live in contract roles. We have now cast Tom Degnan in the role of Viki’s son, Joey Buchanan, and we have decided that Josh Kelly is a great fit for the other contract role that we have written.”

So what do you think of the choice of Tom Degnan to inherit the role of Joey Buchanan played by Nathan Fillion, Don Jeffcoat and Bruce Michael Hall?  Who do you think Josh Kelly could become intertwined with in Llanview?  Let us know.

I’m very glad for Tom Degnan. I’ve found him to be a very charming, sweet young man when I talked to him at the last 2 ATWT Fan Club Luncheons in NYC. Yay For Tom! 🙂

All of the recent casting is very exciting. Kim Zimmer has proven to bring freshness to the stalling Viki/Charlie story. Teri will be a great addition. The show was really lacking in available men. There was either Bo, Rex, Todd, John, Clint, or teens.

Good lucky to TD. On ATWT it wasn’t has if he set the role of Adam H on fire. However I’m exciting to see what Tom can do on this show opposite Terri colombin. I’m really dispointed that she got the role of Aubery Wentworth. Lets see if these two pull in ratings. I know that Terri Fanbase is tiny an the only time she gets cheers is when she is paired up with hotties.

I heart kim zimmer!! Rewatching past clips of Terri as Katie pretti I find her annoying, she’s on the acting as level as eva da cruz comparing Terri to Mara West is gag worth. Search the net of clips of Katie from 2004 to 2006, an really watch her w Mike/ henry. Annoying!!! forget the brad death scenes! it shouldn’t take B T S drama to showcase TC’s acting talents. After that sl was over the writers went back to writing Katie as a scheming backstaber, who spent half her time blaming henry for brad’s death, an another half bedding… Read more »
