OLTL ranks higher than debut of "The Talk"

ABC Daytime put out their own press release today, pointing out that its soap, One Life to Live, fared much better in the same day ratings as the premiere of  the replacement for As the World Turns, the mommie-fest talk show, The Talk.

From the release:  “Against the highly-promoted debut of CBS’ The Talk, in head-to-head competition at 2 o’clock EST/1PMPST, ABC’s daytime drama One Life to Live defeated The Talk by a solid 13% in Total Viewers (2.5 million vs. 2.2 million) and 19% among Women 18-49 (690,000 vs. 581,000). ” Source: Nielsen Media Research (Fast Affiliate, Live + Same Day Ratings), 10/18/10

So now both networks have spun ratings in their favor.  Let the games begin!  ATWT fans  can only hope One Life delivers a knockout punch to The Talk.  So, make sure to start watching the goings-on in Llanview if you are not already on-board!

The Talk is nothing more than a cheap knock-off of The View. Do we need another talk show? I think not. I hope OLTL continues to beat The Talk in the ratings and that network execs understand we love our soaps, and we have more than enough talk shows at the moment. So sad to think that ATWT was cancelled for The Talk? I doubt many long GL or ATWT fans will be tuning in to see how The Talk fares.

Big apple

But get this the hosts’ of the Talk are not interested in beating one life to live just has long as they beat ATWT!!, so said holly R pete in a very recent interview she also said apparently that she is oh so happy that juile chen is host because of JC husband But my question is what do these women trutly kn about raising babies when you look at that reality show w/ SHARON OSBORN an all the drugs unage drinking so on. Do we really want the future children of america growing up like that? Remember it only takes one bad egg An you want yr viewers taking advise from S.O or juile chen, or sara G cbs?? we really should had a 30 minute reality soap with daytime actor’s A day in the life of part fiction/ part reality… Loads of gossip So funer…. Lol.

Final Season of ‘EastSiders’ Starring Kit Williamson and Van Hansis Gets Premiere Date on Netflix

The fourth and final season of the much heralded LGBTQ series, EastSiders now has a premiere date of December 1st on Netflix, and fans of the show will see how things will play out for the Silver Lake duo of Cal  and Thom, who have gone through quite a lot in their relationship over the last three seasons.

EastSiders stars series creator, Kit Williamson (Cal) along with As the World Turns favorite, Van Hansis (Thom).  The last six-episodes that comprise season four will tackle questions such as… what does commitment really look like in a long-term relationship? And what unique challenges does a “gay marriage” present?

In story, Cal and Thom are back home in Los Angeles following season three’s cross-country road trip.  The guys are still trying to figure out if they are just best friends with benefits, or more, or less, than that.

Elsewhere, Douglas (Willam Belli) and Quincy (Stephen Guarino) are engaged to be married, but with very different ideas about what a gay wedding should be. Hillary (Brianna Brown) and Ian (John Halbach) are cohabiting peacefully; and Jeremy (Matthew McKelligon) and Derrick (Leith M. Burke) have taken a huge step in their relationship by fostering a child.

Deadline broke the news of the premiere date and the many special guest stars from primetime and more to look forward to this season.
