Just as Shane Morasco’s bullying storyline picks up steam and reaches the tipping point on One Life to Live, actor Austin Williams (see on left with Andrew Trischitta) will be honored for his portrayal in the emotional storyline, which highlights the harsh, negative realities of bullying, at the 7th Annual Prestige Awards.

According to Soap Opera Digest, “The awards salute individuals in the arts and entertainment who are making a difference in society or giving back to communities. The awards will take place in Poughkeepsie, NY, on April 3, 2011.”

Congratulations to Austin on a job well done…and yet to come!

I’m troubled with this storyline. I can remember when I was in high school, and I know how Shane feels. I was also bullied, but not near as bad as Shane is being. There were times I felt like killing myself, but I did not go through with it. I think though that this is an interesting storyline, and I do like Andrew Trischitta as Jack. He even has a mean voice, because it is deep. I hope that Shane does not kill himself, and Jack will get what is coming to him. Maybe being shipped off to military school… Read more »

Boy this storyline is interesting. The sad thing is that it does happen. Jack needs to be shipped off to military school, or maybe Juvinile Hall would be a good place for him. Jack needs to be put into his place, and I know that he will pay for his cruel actions. The storyline is about to get interesting, and I hope that Rex and Gigi can stop Shane from killing himself. Shane will need help us well, but he will get it from his parents, and there is a lot of people who care for him. I can not… Read more »

(WATCH) GH’s Genie Francis Shares: “I Just Have a Hard Time Believing, In My Heart, That The Great Luke Spencer Died in an Accident”

Today’s Friday episode of General Hospital, is set to feature the funeral of the iconic Luke Spencer (Tony Geary).

While family and friends will gather on the Haunted Star to memorialize him, what been teased by the ABC daytime drama is it will also set a whole storyline in motion.

ABC7 entertainment guru, George Pennacchio, spoke to several of the GH cast, who are involved in the episode including: Luke Spencer’s long-time love, Laura played by Genie Francis.

Francis exclaimed on the whole story: “I just have a hard time believing, in my heart, that the great Luke Spencer died in an accident.  No one stays dead on a soap. I don’t know how many times I’ve been dead. Really!”

Genie added: “I feel like they’re setting the stage, really, for a wonderful comeback and I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for that.”

Luke’s longtime friend played by Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) shared: “And has it actually happened? I mean, frankly, we have a little urn about this big that’s supposed to contain him and that’s it.”

And Luke’s sister, Bobbie, played by Jackie Zeman, also weighed-in if Luke is really a-goner: “Sometimes you get these little red herrings so, as you know, George, you know, you never really know.”

Watch Pennacchio chat with the GH stars below.

Now weigh-in, do you believe Luke is very much alive and well? Held captive, or “dead” dead? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
