Soap fans this season on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, the ballroom dance competition had given us two stars very familiar to our audiences!  This morning, during the official announcement on Good Morning America, the season 17 celebrity field was revealed as to who would be vying for the Mirror Ball trophy!

In the dance-off line-up are …  One Life to Live’s Corbin Bleu (Jeffrey King) and former Days of our Lives and Pretty Little Liars Brant Daugherty (Ex-Brian).  These two young gents will compete against the likes of:  Keyshawn Johnson, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi,Bill Engvall, Valerie Harper, Jack Osbourne, Christina Milian, Bill Nye, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Amber Riley.

Corbin Bleu will be partnered with Karina Smirnoff, while Brant Daugherty will be  dancing with Peta Murgatroyd.  Season 17 of Dancing with the Stars gets underway on Monday night, September 16th for it’s two hour season premiere beginning at 8PMEST.

When Season 17 premieres the show will be in a new  one night, two-hour format. The one-night extravaganza will feature competitive dance, dynamic group performances and musical guests, all building to a climactic elimination. Each week viewers can vote for their favorite dancing performance. Beginning with the second episode on Monday, September 23, one couple will be eliminated at the end of the show by combining the judges’ scores from that night with the public votes from the previous week.

So who do you think stands the best chance on paper of winning the Mirror Ball?  Are you happy that Corbin and Brant have made it  into the competition?  Weigh-in!

Just another sign that we’ve seen the last of OLTL.

not necessarily so because kelly monaco did dwts & gh at the same time…………..

I hope it returns but i wont hold my breath…OLTLs finale 2 weeks on abc was sooooooo great it would be hard to top it…the reboot was such a letdown in the begining but was steadily improving near the end…the writers shouldve watched the final year of the show and got to know it better…Victors return shuldve been more dramatic: On his way to the hospital to see Dani he is hit by a car…Tea sees him at the hospital but because shes been depressed over baby Victors death no one believes her…she is sedated and hospitalized…groggy from meds she searches hospital for Victor and is almost kidnapped by the tatoo organization but Todd saves her…from his hospital bed Victor calls out for Tea…family and friends are shocked he is alive…Victors grave is found empty…however, is this really Victor or a lookalike imposter? Maybe my idea is corny but Victors return shouldve been more mysterious and his family and friends shouldve been more shocked by his return!!!

What you just wrote is more compelling than ANYTHING they came up with. Really, I tried to like ONE LIFE TO LIVE in it’s on-line inception but I found I was trying TOO hard. Sorry to say really the same goes for AMC on line, it’s maybe slightly better but it too needs work. Both shows don’t have the “heart” that the original ABC-TV versions had. Maybe they will improve if given the chance – we will all just have to wait and see.

Both shows were rushed into production and scripts were being written before casting was completed. The first episodes of both weren’t the best ever, but they were great because they were back. Both were getting into their grove when they were put on hiatus.Hopefully this doesn’t ruin the gains they’ve made.Every new production has to find it’s legs.

After seeing wholl be there, i believe Corbin will win this one or at least come in second!!!

Perhaps perhaps not, surprising that abc would want him on it since it will surely bring attention to OLTL!

He was famous before OLTL

I was a little surprised given his involvement with OLTL but ultimately DWTS always has a Disney ‘kid’ in the mix. I bet they’ll downplay the soap and tout his Disney days.

I never heard of him before OLTL but I’ve also never known who half the contestants on DWTS were either. It will be interesting to see how much mention if any OLTL gets.I suppose it might look good in court that they hired him too.

Corbin for the win!!! I agree this doesn’t sound like a good sign for OLTL since the film on opposite coasts.

He should promote OLTL just to infuriate ABC……and maybe that will have fans of OLTL rally again and push PP to get going on broadcasting new shows. I need my Dorian fix!

isn’t elizabeth berkley kind of a ringer. did you ever see “showgirls”? LOL

She also has a dance background from being a kid, def will give people a run for their money, But the show isn’t about actual dancing its how to promote the pro dancers and which celebrity is the more popular.

ie: OLTL’ season ending cliffhanger….

1. Ron Raines. he added a lot of vitality… to Dorian… and his own energy was palpable.

2. Jerry Ver Dorn. (ex-GL alumni) what a treat… to see him doing his own stuff. I honestly thought… he was Vicki’s sidekick…. he “stole” the show.

3. Corbin Bleu. Jeffrey King. He is my favorite newbie. If the Emmy’s and/or SOD awards were still on… This guy would be nominated for… “Best NewComer”. He’s that engaging… and it’s fun to see his character both good and bad. He has such a winning smile to boot.

it’s still a treat to watch the lovely Tea and her daughter Dani.

having never watched OLTL… I was struck by how lovely Blair is… OK i watched her some on GH.. but on the OLTL set… and her being so emotional over Todd… was excellent… the chemistry of these two is through the roof.

ie: as for Brent… Brian, DOOL. I hope he comes back to Salem.. on a regular basis… hopefully, for Sonny… when Chandler Massey… exits.

I love that Elizabeth Berkley will be on it. I liked her on Saved By The Bell and Showgirls, she’s so campy I love it! It’d be hilarious if she danced to “I’m So Excited” that funny scene from SBTB where she was addicted to pep pills lmao.

I will also be rooting for Valerie Harper, she’s such a fighter! And also Leah Remini.

Go Valerie!

Was Brian the first guy Will kissed? Trying to remember who the character was.

No. That was Neil. Brian was all about getting into Sonny’s pants. I want him to come back and try again and hopefully succeed.

I don’t remember Brian at all. Now there’s a Brent who likes Sonny. I guess Brian wasn’t memorable for me.

I don’t watch DWTS but I will be rooting for Brant as well as Amber Riley.

I’m a huge fan of DWTS. I think Corbin Bleu and Elizabeth Berkley will go far in this competition. I remembered her in Saved by the Bell and Showgirls. I hope this isn’t a sign that OLTL will be put on hold for a long time. Though, he seems to be very talented and I do believe this season will be very entertaining. The cast of this season appears to be very interesting.
