OLTL’s Erika Slezak Message To Her Fans During COVID-19: “I Hope Everyone is Well and That We Come Out of This In One Piece”
The iconic star of One Life to Live and six-time Daytime Emmy winner, Erika Slezak (Ex-Viki) who will soon be seen in the ABC special, The Story of Soaps, set to air May 18th (8 p. m. EST), just released a very special message to her fans.
Erika posted an update on her, and her family, during the coronavirus pandemic for her legions of fans via her website.
Slezak shared the following: “ABC and PEOPLE asked me to participate in this project (The Story of Soaps), and did a very long interview – about 2 hours – out of which they will probably use maybe 5 minutes. I hope you enjoy watching. Other than that, we are all doing well here in CT, and managing just as best as we can. We are lucky in that we have a home and food in the cupboard and the fridge and we are staying in. I haven’t been to a store in 60 days.
Michael does all the errands like grocery shopping etc., and fortunately he is very careful and staying healthy. The weather has, for the most part, been totally miserable. We have had maybe two or three really nice days, and it’s been cloudy and rainy all the rest of the time, so there is really no reason to go outside anyway. I’ve been doing lots of reading and cleaning the house and clearing out of cupboards, etc, which keeps us busy. I hope everyone is well and that we come out of this in one piece.”
So, glad to hear from Erika? Will you be watching her in the upcoming special The Story of Soaps? Post your well-wishes to Erika and her family in the comment section below, as they stay hunkered down like most of us are during COVID-19.
Nice to hear from her and know she is doing well.
I look forward to seeing the soap special. Can barely believe they’re doing it. What a wonderful surprise for us soap fans!
I agree !!
It’s always a joy to hear from Erika Slezak. I am so happy to know that she and her family are well as we live through this global public health emergency. Can’t wait to see her on The Story of Soaps special. Please let her know that I miss her and our beloved One Life to Live every single day. Stay well, stay safe and know that you are loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss OLTL…i know Days fans like Jaime Lynn Bauer and i do too but i thought she looked more the part as Laura Horton(and Susan Flannery-Laura no 2) and wanted her to do a short story arc with Jerry VerDorn as Bill Horton…then Days killed Bill off camera that was just a filler moment and forgettable…happy to hear she and her family are doing well!!!
Love hearing that she is doing well during these difficult times. I look forward to seeing her in the Story of Soaps special. She is a daytime treasure.
Love seeing this from Erika!! My all time favorite. Look forward to seeing the special..
I love Erika Slezak! she is my favorite soap actress of all time and OLTL is my favorite soap too! had the great honor of meeting Erika at at fan club luncheon in NYC on May 5,2001. watched OLTL from day one July 15,1968 until it was stupidly cancelled on January 13,2012.. literally grew up watching Erika play “Viki” one of my cats is named Vicky! in honor of her.
Great to hear from you Erika! I sure miss One Life to Live especially in times like this. The great storylines gave us something to look forward to!
Praise the (Victoria) Lord! GH’s cast is large enough, but I’d be happy with a two-week story arc with Viki coming to consult Lulu on how to write for a paper. Maybe throw in a scene of someone resembling Niki at karaoke night at The Rib.
Regardless, still looking forward to seeing Erika on the People special.
It is especially wonderful hearing from such an iconic talent.I truly admired her work and I have missed seeing her.I wish that the networks would realize there is a huge audience waiting for the wonderful world of soaps such as my favorite-ONE LIFE TO LIVE-to return along with my favorite actress from daytime tv,Erika Slezak
“Hi , Erika ! I watched your SUPERBLY practice your Craft on “One Life To Live”for many moons and I used to LOVE your iconic , Legendary battles with Robin Strasser( Dorian Lord!) I would LOVE to see you do ANYTHING in TV , Film , or Stage ; I always hope to be able to work with you one day ; Our industry is So Very , Very Blessed- to have seen your EXCEPTIONAL WORK grace the small screen! Continued Blessings To You and Yours- and a quote that reminds me of you-( J.M. Barrie-author of Peter Pan-) ” Those who bring sunshine to others- cannot keep it from themselves.” Best – And Thank You Kindly , Tina E.Gaffney.
Where can you watch the soap special?
It will air on TV! Great news!
Great seeing and hearing you are well. We look forward to seeing the special. Stay safe and blessed.
She is so awesome! Became my second mom in CT, as she was concerned to put my jacket on. Glad her and her family are all well, & safe!
So glad to hear from Erika!! Glad to know, they’re doing okay! I’ll will be watching!! Something to look forward to in these rough times!!
I will ABSOLUTELY be watching The Story of Soaps !! Great to see your face, Erika !!
I would hope that ABC and People are planning to provide lots of online sidebars for their TV special, if they’ve done *that much* reporting.
It was so wonderful to read her message of hope. I still think the world of her and wish I got to enjoy her character each and everyday. I hope her family, as everyone’s, stays healthy in the crisis. Maybe we will all be better for it, having developed more kindness and patience towards others. I’ll be watching and hoping to see and hear more of Erika in the future.
Hi Erika, as I remember you, Vicki. I miss you & everyone else from OLTL still!! I watched from the start, so a long time. It was my ‘mommy down time’ while the kiddies napped! I’ll be watching ‘The Story Of Soaps’, for sure. You & your family be well & healthy!
So wonderful to hear from you Erika. I miss you and OLTL immensely. I have been staying in as well and not enjoying the miserable weather very much. Here in CT as well.
Happy Birthday Erika! God Bless and watch over you and your family. I watched with my Mom as a new Vickie came on to OLTL. Been a fan ever since! Thank You for many decades of stories, Dorian! LOL! Watching Erika grow behind the scenes and Vickie grow in front of the scenes was a shear pleasure! Be safe! -Brian.

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.
In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.
However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS
Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.
Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall. It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.
With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.
So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.
The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.
The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW
As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.
O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”
Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”
You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.
Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.
