OLTL's Hillary B. Smith W-C Auction continues. Get a piece of Lindsay/Nora Action!

Well, if you watched yesterday’s, One Life to Live, long time fans of Bo and Nora got their wish, when Nora after hemming and hawing finally agreed to marry the man of her dreams, Bo Buchanan.  And that means, soapers, it looks like an on-air wedding could be slated for June!  Over the past week Hillary B. Smith (Nora) and Bob Woods (Bo) have been delivering heartfelt performances that remind us why the couple is just that “darn” good.

And since its the start of a new week, that means another item is up for bids in Hillary B. Smith’s online auction for the Willee-Coppee Fund. The W-C fund is a joint charitable endeavor between Hillary, her bff television writer and multiple-best-selling author Lindsay Harrison.  The fund serves to discreetly assist pet owners who may be struggling with overwhelming veterinary bills. Endowments that assist pet owners are incredibly important in today’s challenged economy, as countless individuals are unable to provide routine care and medically necessary services for man’s best friend. And for those in the know, for years the legendary soap battle between Nora Buchanan and Lindsay Rappaport was front and center stage on the show.  Catherine Hickland’s, Lindsay had such great chemistry with Hillary’s, Nora…to bitter rivals.   So now read the item below to take home a piece of  Llanview history!

Item up for bids for the W-C Fund: Yideo tape, with a bonus DVD copy, from the personal collection of Hillary B. Smith, unprofessionally but earnestly homemade by a friend of hers – Hillary’s scenes and only Hillary’s scenes from One Life to Live. It’s imperfect and a true vintage tape, which is to say it hasn’t improved in quality as the years have gone on. But Hillary personally screened it before offering it for sale and assures you that it’s thoroughly watchable and a real treasure for Nora/Lindsay/One Life to Live fans. This is a one-of-a-kind item. We’ve made no other copies to list again in the future, and the tape and DVD will arrive with a handwritten note from Hillary to help guarantee their authenticity. Again, if you’re a fan of Hillary Smith and Catherine Hickland, and/or of One Life to Live, you’ll enjoy every minute of this video tape and/or DVD. We’ve skipped ahead a few years from the previous tapes we’ve listed to bring you this historic period in Bo and Nora’s relationship, from 10/98 – 2/99: the cabana (in which Sam “helps” Nora by theoretically impregnating her); Lindsay happily exposing Nora’s secret at the Woman of the Year Award; and Bo serving Nora with divorce papers.

Corbin Bernsen to Reprise His Role of Arnie Becker in ‘LA Law’ Revival Pilot

Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd, The Young and the Restless) and the son of Y&R’s late great Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) has signed on to reprise his signature primetime television role of womanizing lawyer Arnie Becker in the upcoming LA Law revival pilot.

This makes Corbin the co-lead of the series alongside Blair Underwood (Ex-OLTL) who previously signed on to the pilot to reprise his role of Jonathan Rollins.  ABC has greenlit the pilot.

According to Deadline, it is believed that Bernsen and Underwood will be the only original members of the mid 80’s-90’s legal drama on NBC in the pilot, but more may guest-star if the show gets picked up for a full-season order.

In the premise of the reboot, the law firm of McKenzie Brackman, now named Becker Rollins, reinvents itself as a litigation firm specializing in only the most high profile, boundary pushing and incendiary cases.  The show will feature familiar characters working alongside new ones on the most hot button issues of the day.  As for Bernsen’s Becker, now in his 60’s, look for him to struggle with a rapidly shifting sexual and political landscape.

The original LA Law ran for eight seasons from September 15, 1986 to May 19, 1994 on NBC.

So, what do you think of Corbin taking on the role of Arnie Becket in a revival of LA Law? Would you be intrigued to check out the show if it makes it to series? Comment below.
