Many of our soapers have been asking when is the previously announced appearance by One Life to Live’s Josh Kelly (Ex-Cutter) on the Lifetime hit series, Army Wives going to hit the air?  Well the answer finally came this morning from ABC Soaps In Depth.   Kelly will be in all new episodes airing on Sunday July 1st and 8th.  As many know,  Army Wives ended this past Sunday with their said finale,  but they are actually going on a five week hiatus and will be back with all new episodes in late June.

As for Kelly, who was a real-life Army Ranger, will play the role of Cody on Army Wives, who is a lieutenant in the Army whom Trevor and Roxy got to know while in Officer Candidate School.

So are you missing Josh on daytime?  What show do you think would be a good fit for him next? Let us know!

So happy to hear this! I never watched Army Wives until Susan Lucci guested and now I’m a regular. I loved Josh’s character and really miss him on the airwaves. If only OLTL wasn’t cancelled, all the possibilities they had with his character and other newbies like Rama, Vimal, Destiny, etc. (sigh). Also happy to hear that any soap alum is finding work is a great thing!

I miss Josh Kelly on “One Life To Live”

I wonder if OLTL v2 could ever come to be… a lot of the actors have landed other projects… but I would still like to see an attempt by ABC or some other network.

One can still hope.

Looks like abc/disney has a new name for their goofy news show taking over the one life to live/the revolution/ hour at 2 oclock, Get ready its going to be called, and this must have taken a lot of time to come up with, the name, good afternoon america, How lame is that? Anyway it starts July9th and I hope all the one life to live fans get ready, we have to sink the ratings in this garbage filled show. Abc/disney could have just showed THE BEST OF ONE LIFE TO LIVE instead. In september, Where is general hospital going… Read more »

I didn’t like Cutter on one life,But one of my favorite shows is Army Wives. Its a night time soap. So if soaps are dead, soemeone shoud tie tptb at ABC to chairs and make them watch it. Plus it has ex soap actors in it.
Watching Jenny and Ericka on together is a trip AMC characters that is.
I love the show, all the actors are a+ and the stories are great.
Welcome to the show Josh Kelley.

Josh Kelly is hot and very funny! I really miss him as Cutter, so I think he should continue as Cutter in a spinoff of OLTL which would feature his mother, Alex Olanov and his sister, Kim Andrews/Aubrey Wentworth. Alex could have some secrets from her past which relate to other OLTL characters. It would be almost as good as getting OLTL back.

Guiding Light

Tom Pelphrey Set As Series Regular For Amazon’s Mystery Drama ‘Outer Range’

Another great feather in the cap for one of the finest actors we know, former Guiding Light and As the World Turns alum, and two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Tom Pelphrey.

Fresh of his star-turn in Netflix;s Ozark as Laura Linney’s on-screen brother Ben, Pelphrey has nabbed a key role in the upcoming Amazon series, Outer Range.

The show also stars Lilli Taylor and Tamara Podemski and Josh Brolin.  Outer Range is from playwright Brian Watkins, Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Amazon Studios.

According to Deadline: The story centers on Royal Abbott (Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness.  Taylor will portray Cecilia Abbott, the matriarch of the Abbott family. Cecilia is a woman of deep faith, which she finds tested as never before. Podemski will play Deputy Sheriff Joy. A life-long cop, Joy is running for county sheriff, and is the first gay Native American to ever do so in Wyoming. Pelphrey is Perry Abbott, the dutiful, eldest Abbott son, who is torn up inside by the lingering mystery of his missing wife.”

Coming up this Oscar season look for Tom in David Fincher’s Mank, where he plays Joseph Mankiewicz .
