OLTL's Trevor St. John tells Suds, "I am not an Emmy Guy"

Say it isn’t so! On-Air On-Soaps top pick for an Outstanding Lead Actor Emmy nomination this year, One Life’s stupendous Trevor St. John (Todd Manning) has informed Nelson Branco of TV Guide Canada’s Suds Report that he will no longer submit himself for Emmy contention.  Here’s the tidbit:

“The sexy actor tells a disappointed Suds Report that he will not be submitting his name for 2010 Emmy contention. “I’m not an Emmy guy,” he simply states. Last year, St. John did enter his name for Emmy consideration but One Life threw their pre-nomination support towards Michael Easton and Bob Woods despite the fact that one of soaps’ best all-time recasts delivered his best work during 2008-09. Predictably, One Life shot themselves in the foot because Easton and Woods’s lacklustre reels failed to make the final Emmy ballot. This isn’t the first time his cast and the business snubbed St. John — St. John failed to be recognized during Todd’s electrifying execution storyline a few years back.”   For more Suds click here!

It’s really a shame were never going to see Trevor get the recognition he so much deserves by the daytime industry. And daytime not appreciate the great talent he is. Oh well as they say it’s not his lost or his fans lost. It’s One Life To Live’s lost and daytimes by ignoring this fine mans talent. It just proves how bad they run their backstage business and why daytime industry is in the mess they are now. Tricia Cast Returns to The Young and the Restless

Looky who is coming back to Genoa City?  In news today, Daytime Emmy winner and longtime fan favorite, Tricia Cast (Nina) will be returning to Y&R in November.

Tricia will appear during the week of November 30th just in time to help the top-rated soap opera celebrate their 12,000 episode milestone.

EW.com broke that Cast was making a return, and it’s the first time she will appear on the series since back in 2013 when Nina came back to town for the memorial service of Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper).

In story this time, look for Nina to reunite with her longtime pal, Christine (Lauralee Bell) and for Nina to see for herself what’s been happening with her son, Chance (Danny Boaz).

The character of Nina Webster first appeared on the soap scene back in 1986.

Genie Francis Returns to General Hospital During November Sweeps

General Hospital fans have been noticing the absence of icon Genie Francis in her role as Laura since the show returned to production amid Covid-19.

But fans will not have to wait much longer as Francis will be back on-screen during the key November sweeps ratings period and will be right in the middle of all the drama, in particular, surrounding Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

According to Soap Opera Digest, and their sweeps preview in their latest issue (on newsstands now) GH co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor reveal that Laura will return to Port Charles and is not pleased with what has happened to the city while she has been away, and that she is, “determined to get answers to Cyrus’ past and she is determined to be the one to ultimately bring him down.”

 

There is no official word on Genie’s first airdate bsck, but stay tuned, as November is just around the corner.

Back on October 7th, Genie posted a photo of herself sharing: “Bye bye New England! So happy to have had a bit of fall!”  Thus, signaling she was headed back to the west coast to re-join GH.

Ashley Jones Confirms Return to The Bold and the Beautiful

Great news Bold and the Beautiful fans! Ashley Jones will be back on-screen again as Bridget Forrester in upcoming episodes of the CBS Daytime drama series.

Jones confirmed the previously rumored news of her return via her Instagram account where she shared: “Do you think it’s to let you know Bridget’s alive and well or a preview for more to come?”

Be on the lookout for Jones beginning next week with the Monday, November 2nd episode.

Ashley has played Bridget on B&B in various lengths of times including: 2004–13, 2015–16, 2018, and in 2020.
