Days Of Our Lives

RATINGS: Great week for DAYS as show reveals its reboot!

Days of our Lives was the big winner in the ratings for the week of September 26th through September 30th, and that is because, as many know and had been well planned, the show did its reboot that week, bringing with it staple stars, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Matthews Ashford, Christie Clark and Patrick Muldoon.

DAYS increased its viewership + 260,000 eyeballs and that is also over last year at this same time.  DAYS also had increases for key demos during the week as well.

The only other show to garner more viewers that week was General Hospital who added +55,000 viewers. And the top three remained  1) The Young and the Restless 2) The Bold and the Beautiful 3) One Life to Live.

Also of note, this was the first week that All My Children did not appear in the ratings. Sadly, the ratings sheet looks more empty with only five soaps left at this time.  Who would have ever thought we would see that day?  View the full ratings courtesy of Soap Opera Network after the jump!

Great for Days! They deserved it! Bringing back old faves, great balance, great stories, great mysteries, pulling out all the stops!
Hope Y&R learns from this!

Glad to hear of Days’ ratings success! I am one of those viewers who tuned back in after years of not watching so I could see my faves Marlena, Carrie, Austin, John and Jack again. So far, I’m liking what I’m seeing, but I have to admit I don’t really like this cast outside of the returning characters and Bo, Hope, Jennifer, Kate, Stefano and Victor.

I love them all and hope Bryan Dattilo/Lucas Horton comes home to Salem to stay forever.

Totally agree!!!

OLTL lost its momentum. Victor being shot left for a so-so who dun-nit. It has been pretty boring all week. Let’s move story along…..who is in the hospital bed, who killed Victor, let Nat find out Brody knew about the paternity, let Jack go to juvenille detention, etc. I fast forwarded through much of the last 2 weeks. I haven’t done that in a long time.

Yeah, I continue to watch, but these last two weeks have been agonizing…. We all know that Shane is the one who took out Victor. Stacy is in the bed, but she’s had her face re-done to look like Gigi (no secret, I’ve just put the pieces together) And for God’s sake will someone please tell John that he’s Liam’s father!!! Out of all the stories, that is the one that is getting on my nerves the most. This is the one major issue that I have with soaps…..they drag some stories on for a life time. The DNA baby story has outlived it’s expiration date. It’s so time for the truth the come out. I mean, has anyone else noticed how Natalie doesn’t even try to remember what happened on that rooftop between her and Marty? And I’m sick of Brody and this self-entitled attitude he has about being Liam’s father Oh, and how many times is Blair gonna scream from fright thinking that Todd has slipped off and died? Get the stupid man to the hospital, and hurry up and wrap this story up….Notice how Todd could care less about the trouble he has gotten his daughter in? Thought he was supposed to care so much about his kids…..

Oh, and I must say, it was a little strange to look at the ratings and not see AMC listed there any longer….very sad. 🙁

Some good news for Days. Glad it got a bump. It’s doing much better with the new stories I’m looking forward to watching every day.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Jack Wants His Memory Back, But Do You Want Him To Reunite With Jennifer … Or Stay With Eve?

Since his return to Salem on New Year’s Eve of 2018, Jack Deveraux (Matt Ashford) has had no recollection of his past, although there have been some mini-breakthroughs along the way, but none big enough or strong enough to get him out of the clutches of Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and back into the arms of his longtime love, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves).

Next week on Days of our Lives, looks like the story further heats up (according to the latest DAYS promo from NBC) where Jack tells Eve he wants his memory back.  She had held the cards to Dr.  Rolf’s formula and to the serum that could restore Jack’s memory, until Xander (Paul Telfer) got his hands on it, and turned it over in time to save the life of Will Horton (Chandler Massey).

So, now what will happen?  Will Eve play nice and truly help Jack get his memory back, or will she once again play dirty pool?  Meanwhile, look for Jennifer to make one more impassioned plea for Jack to remember their time together, and possibly decide it’s of no use and she must move on with her life.  But, will Jack regain his memory in time to be reunited with Jennifer? If he gets his memory back, could somehow he still choose to be with Eve?

Who do you want Jack to end up with? Are you #TeamJennifer of #TeamEve?  Let us know but first watch the promo for next week’s DAYS below, then share your choice via the comment section below.

Olivia Rose Keegan Posts Parting Thoughts As Her Final Episode As Claire Airs On DAYS

By now, many viewers of NBC’s Days of our Lives have watched Tuesday’s episode, which saw Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) being wheeled out of a hospital room and on her way to the Bayview Sanitarium to deal with what led her to become a Salem firestarter after her latest attempt to torch Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and then herself.

In story, realizing she is severely troubled, Claire gets the news from her parents, Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) that she won’t be facing prison time for attempted murder, but instead, she does need to be put away in a mental facility and leave right away at the judges orders.  That sets the stage for Olivia Rose Keegan to share her final scenes with many of her longtime co-stars before making her exit.

As her time on DAYS on-air came to a close, Olivia took to her Instagram to express her parting thoughts and the opportunity to play Claire, and be a part of the iconic soap opera

Keegan wrote: “Thank you for the best 4 years of my life.  To everyone who watches the show: I cannot thank you enough for sticking with Claire through the good, bad, and batsh*t.  Reading everyone’s comments/tweets this past week has been the most overwhelmingly amazing thing— It means more than you know   I also owe a huge thank you to the @nbcdays writers for giving me an opportunity to dig my nails into some fascinating material with this past storyline— as well as shine a light onto mental health awareness.  It would be too difficult to explain how much I love every single person in my @nbcdays family. It was a 4 year dream. I met lifelong friends, learned an infinite amount, and simply loved every minute of it.  Farewell from Salem’s newest pyro ”

Make sure to check out her exit interview with her co-stars, Rob Scott Wilson (Ben), Victoria Konefal and Brandon Beemer, exclusively on the DOOL app released this afternoon to hear the groups thoughts on the cabin fire twist, and Olivia’s exit from the Days canvas, and more.

So, sad to see Olivia make her exit from DAYS?  Do you hope she will come back for another turn as Claire?  Comment below.
