REPORT: Prospect Park Wants The Characters Of GH's John, Starr & Todd For One Life to Live!

Just how will this hurdle work itself out for General Hospital and the online revival of One Life to Live, with the fate of three of the most beloved characters of Llanview and now Port Charles in their hands? That is one of the key issues that both productions, and longtime fans of each soap opera, are waiting with baited breath to find out.
According to a report from TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan, Prospect Park wants the characters of Starr, John, and Todd back so they can write for them on their canvas for the online revival of One Life, which has caused some heavy drama over at ABC and General Hospital.
We have also heard in recent interview and reports, GH’s executive producer Frank Valentini, was hopeful that the trio of characters and the actors who play then could stay on GH, however acknowledging that the legal departments of both entities have to work this one out.
One of the big complications is that Roger Howarth (Todd), Michael Easton (John), and Kristen Alderson (Starr) are under contract to ABC, so theoretically Starr, John, and Todd could go away, but the people playing them would stay with the network. An ABC spokesperson told TV Guide: “There are ongoing collaborative conversations with Prospect Park. We have various strategies in place depending on the outcome of these talks.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny Tells Dante, “I Don’t Want a Son Like You,” While Michael Tells Brook Lynn to Bide Her Time Till Chase and Willow Have an Affair
On the Thursday, October 1 episode of General Hospital, both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) had some things to say and what they had to say didn’t go over well with whom they were talking to!
Sonny had a confrontation with his son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), while Michael leveled with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) over Chase (Josh Swickard).
GH is setting up a scenario where everyone is going to make it look like Sonny was responsible for having Sidwell (Carlo Rota) beat up in Pentonville; while viewers already know Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) were behind it.

A VISIT WITH DAD
Now, Dante comes to Sonny’s house. He wants to know straight up from his dad if he ordered the attack at Pentonville. Sonny flatly denies any culpability or responsibility, but Dante refuses to believe him.
Dante informs Sonny he has video footage of Sully and Vito at the prison. Sonny explains to Dante he doesn’t know why Sully beat up both Curtis and Dante. Things escalated when Sonny was deeply hurt that Dante refused to believe him. Dante says he was disappointed that his father didn’t respect him enough to be truthful with him!
Sonny asks Dante to consider that he was being set up. He says all he did was to tell Vito to instruct Sully to keep a watchful eye on Sidwell, not to harm him. No matter what Sonny said, Dante continued hammering him with how he knew deep down, even though he said he left the mob, he had to finish off Sidwell for himself.
Next, Sonny explains everything he has ever done was to provide for and to protect his family. Dante fired back that he doesn’t want to deal anymore with Sonny’s half-baked truths. As the two men argue, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) shows up at Sonny’s front door and overhears Sonny losing his temper and shouting at Dante, “Get out of my house! I don’t want a son like you!” The scenes featured an excellent performance by Maurice Benard.

MICHAEL THE MANIPULATOR
While this is going down, outside the Quartermaine boathouse, Brook Lynn opens up to Michael about living at the Q’s with Chase being there, since he only came back due to legal advice from his lawyer, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard).
Brook Lynn questioned whether they should get legally separate. Michael insisted that would be a big mistake. When she asks why, Michael tells Brook Lynn to bide her time until Chase and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) have an affair; then she’d have full custody of Phoebe.
An angered Brook Lynn pushed Michael into the water and accuses him of moving Willow back into the gatehouse with intent on putting Chase and Willow in closer proximity and sacrificing Brook Lynn’s family in the process. As the two cousins bicker, Chase shows up asking Brook Lynn if she is OK. Michael punctuates their talk with “You know, I’m right.”
CURTIS FIGURES OUT A WAY TO GET OUT OF THE SLAMMER
At GH, Willow visits Curtis (Donnell Turner) in his hospital room. Curtis wants Willow to get him pardoned and keep him out of jail, and in return, he will help her nail Sonny.
Next, Willow tells Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) she wants Curtis held for observation for three more days. He agrees to do so under one condition, that she understands that he may need to call in a favor from a congresswoman.

GH Alum Tajh Bellow and Y&R Alum Loren Lott Star in New Tiktok and Microdrama ‘Love Island’ Spoof
Two soap opera alums very familiar to fans of General Hospital and The Young and the Restless are paired together in a new short-form digital series from none other than Issa Rae’s production entity HOORAE Digital.
Look for Tajh Bellow (ex-TJ Ashford, GH)) and Loren Lott (ex-Ana Hamilton, Y&R) as part of the cast of The Compatibility Experiment, premiering on October 14, 2026, exclusively on TikTok and its companion microdrama platform, PineDrama.
In the video teaser, it appears that Bellow and Lott play a couple, Kelvin and Camila, set in a Love Island reality show-esque environment trying to win the one million dollar cash prize, only what could go wrong?

The Compatibility Experiment loglines share that it brings a fast-paced, relationship-focused reality check—much like Love Island with a twist. The show takes a participant’s current relationship, introduces them to a potentially more compatible partner, and forces them to navigate the differences with life-changing money on the line.
The new series is part of a groundbreaking content deal between HOORAE Digital and TikTok to develop premium short-form storytelling. The ensemble cast also features; Ayona, Reggie Luck, JaNa Craig, Tosin Morohunfola, Jessica Jacoby, Georgia Warner, and Nick Cassidy.
General Hospital fans know Tajh Bellow for his performances as TJ Ashford, and who earned two Daytime Emmy nominations along the way during his run. Bellow took over the role in 2018 and last appeared on the ABC daytime drama series in December of 2024.
Loren Lott first appeared as Devon’s (Bryton James) sister Ana Hamilton on The Young and the Restless from 2018 to 2019; making a brief return in 2024. She has continued to perform on the stage and screen with recent credits including: Bel-Air, Cherish the Day, and All American: Homecoming.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava and Drew Revealed to be Behind Framing Sonny for Sidwell’s Prison Beatdown
If you thought that the person responsible for the Pentonville brawl that saw Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) taken to General Hospital was Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or even Sidwell himself, you were dead wrong! On the Wednesday, September 30 episode of GH, it turned out that the culprits were actually Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison).
In story, Drew apparently bankrolled the attack on Sidwell and framing Sonny. He told Ava their planned worked (she came up with it!) but was horrified when Drew informed her that Curtis got caught in the crosshairs. Ava is visibly upset because of her longtime friendship with Curtis’ daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Drew tried to make Ava see the bright side. Curtis was witness to it and his presence will cast doubt on Sonny’s claims to that he had gotten out of the mob and gone legit.
Later, Vito shows up at Drew’s. They informed him that his guy on the inside of the slammer made a big mistake by hurting their friend and ordered him to leave town.

BOATHOUSE BRAWL
In other major developments, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) have a blow out fight as Danny blames his “brother” for the reason Charlotte was sent off to boarding school.
Rocco told off Danny for Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) reckless behavior and he explains he had to protect his sister. He went in on Danny saying that his mother Lulu (Alexa Havins) has been right to send Charlotte to boarding school and far away from Danny.
However, Rocco went a bit too far when he shouted, “And if your mom was alive, she would send you away too!” Next, Danny punched out Rocco, leading to a terrible brawl. An angered Danny yells at Rocco to, “Stay away from me and everyone in my family. And don’t you ever mention my mom again!” Danny storms off.

Now alone outside the boathouse, Rocco flashes back to his first kiss with Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi), hoping that his fight with Danny will not escalate and ruin their budding romance. Meanwhile, a bloodied-mouth Danny heads over to Sonny’s and Jason (Steve Burton) is there at the same time. He then admits that he has a bad fight with Rocco and they are both beaten up.
WILL SCOUT WISE UP?
At the end of the episode, Scout, who had a fight with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) over Drew, and who keeps telling everyone how good a man her dad truly is, comes upon a suspicious scene.
Scout hides behind the wall outside Drew’s. She sees her dad, Ava and Vito talking. Next, Scout seems to overhear Vito assuring Drew and Ava that their business dealings are done, and he’ll be leaving Port Charles for good.

That is part of the reason the soaps were cancelled because people threatened not to watch ( and followed through with their threats) if the characters/couples/SL didnt go their way.
I want them to remain on GH. I never watched GH until they cancelled AMC. I watched OLTL its last month on ABC to show my support for soaps. Then I followed the characters to GH. Prospect Park wasn’t on the ball early enough and should let them stay where they are.
Im a huge OLTL & GH fan. I want them to stay on GH. But, lets be real they need to stay as the characters they are now. You cant really give them new names.

We don’t watch ABC except for GH due to our OLTL favs. It would be great if AMC and OLTL could combine into one mega soap. We are so tired of ABC reminding us of how unhealthy we are so we nolonger watch except for GH
I like the idea of AMC and OLTL being combined into one mega soap, but I’d want the original people back as the characters. I don’t watch much of GH except I do look up sometimes if I have the TV on when I see John, Star, and Todd, etc. The controversy about which soap the three mentioned should stay on can be resolved by having them play on BOTH.
The trio have spiced up GH. I rush home every day to watch the show now. Please leave them where they are.

I like Glenda’s suggestion. That they do both. OLTL could have connections to GH that would enable them to do this. I think the groundwork has already been paved to make this correlation very possible.
I’m with ya girls!!!! but will it be realistic? Where’s the filming taking place? They need to keep the fan’s happy ,and outta lawyers hands!!
I finally like them after all these months. I’m a long time GH fan and only sometimes OLTL fan so it took a few months for these characters to feel like they belong on GH.
With such a big GH cast, stories seem to be rotating, leaving these three with time to do both shows. None of the three need to be on every day. I also want to see the Qs, Lucy, Kevin, Mac, Robert, Cassadines, Anna, Scotty, Laura, Bobbie, etc.

You are so right. ABC shot themselves in the foot when they shut down the soaps. Viewers cried out…but, they didn’t listen. I think the success of SOAPNET has made them realize that viewers are watching reruns all of the time and follow up with GH, Y&R,AMC and Days of Our Lives current stories are watched here because of the network changing time slots. ABC is finding out that their talk shows, cooking shows, etc haven’t had the viewers that AMC,OLTL and GH have retained. If Prospect Part had signed all of the stars on at the beginning and had the contracts as well as the shows sewn up I would feel sorry for them. Right now, I feel they missed the boat and should start out fresh. Use the talent they have under a new show.

I will watch One Life to Live and I also watch only General Hospital on ABC. It is their fault that this is all a mess. And for what? The revultion!! How’d that work out for them.

It would be great if they could be on both shows. But, that being said, I love Michael & Starr together. I think they should bring him to LV with her. I don’t really care much either way about Todd & Carly. I like Todd a lot but I LOVE Trevor St. John & wish he would come back to OLTL. I also LOVE John IMcBain and don’t like him with Sam. She is sooooo boring. But then again (know I’ll catch hell for this one) I never liked him with Natalie either. I actually liked him with Blair. Hope she comes back to OLTL. I also liked Tea’s daughter, Dani. I think she’s a great actress & hope she comes back also.
Why in the world would the actors even consider going to an online soap from a national tv show? PP wants the characters and actors to leave for a 20 minute online show that is ridiculous. I am sure that GH can figure out a way to keep the characters by simply changing the names. John could some how really be Caleb and that would allow him to stay on GH and Todd and Starr could be renamed. PP shows will most likely flop anyway. I have no interest in watching an online soap and I think many people will share the same opinion.

Well I believe Prospect Park is a “little late” in trying to revive OLTL. It is in the actors’ best interest to probably stay notice on TV than to be outcast on the Web.
I think the actors should be able to pick where they want to be.
I am so cynical. Prospect once before played foul with OLTL. Promised
production, had supposedly signed actors and then pulled the plug. I would hate to see them pull three successful crossover characters who have well entrenched themselves in the new show that took them in and continued to give them life when Prospect dropped them on their heads after promising the moon. What is to stop them from doing this again. I just feel something really stinks here. It would hurt GH to have these characters leave and I have to wonder what the motive is. I pray that they are playing with all their cards fairly and showing and that we can somehow work this out. I can’t see the Characters being played by anyone else and I can’t see the actors suddenly having to change to a different character. Either way this doesn’t help either soap.
It’s bad enough they took the series One Life to Live off the air… which was my favorite… now since you let the program die off and disappointed us in taking the program away from us …. why disturb the mess you already created…
I was upset when oltl went off air,but now I am happy with General Hosp. how would the public ‘see oltl’?on TV? what?If I have to buy something to watch it i probably won’t.
Me also. Even tho I would miss them on OLTL re-boot. They belong on GH now!
I think that they should do both. Lets be real for a sec. We all have relatives in other states. Let them go back and forth. I think it would enhance both shows if they were able to do that. Some of their stories could cross back and forth too. It could make for some interesting and innovating tv and have more people to play off of for both casts.

hmmm, since these are not on tv together, why can’t the shows each have a Todd/Star/John? Roger & Kristen hadn’t signed up to portray their characters on Prospect the first time around, hopefully they’ll stay where they are…

They should remain on GH. There seems to be a bit of confusion though. PP wants the CHARACTERS back. The ACTORS are on contract with ABC. They can get their characters back but why do we have to “punish” the actors by letting them go. They will probably not be paid the same amount of money that they are now getting on GH — they probably won’t get as much airtime too since it is only a 20 min. webisode (or am I mistaken?). I heard that the actors are not happy with PP. Who could blame them?
I agree too!! They should stay with GH. Their story lines have drifted too far now to make any sense. NO more crossovers! Problem solved.
I do NOT want to see Roger Howarth (Todd), Michael Easton (John), or Kristen Alderson (Starr) on the new OLTL. For me, ME has become a Mc-Pain in the you know what, and KA is annoying and can’t act. One of the reasons I started watching OLTL was to see what RH would do next. The episode where he holds everyone hostage at Asa’a lodge was the best one ever. But RH is not nearly as good playing Todd. I would.
I want to see Trevor St John as the “real” Todd with Blair. He made the character better and was treated badly at the end. Was his last scene with Alison ever explained? Perhaps PP should start there and forget abut getting anyone back from GH.
WTF I have watched OLTL for over twenty years and Prospect park pulled the rug out on us and then once they got thier s*** together it was to late! Please everyone play nicely and work something out !!!!!!!!
I agree! I’ve watched both shows from the start. They should stay on GH. If no one else, let Starr come back to Michael. They have a good chemistry. There have been too many changes and people coming back that should be gone. Please soon bring Robin back! She and Patrick were the best couple!!! It would be nice to have one couple that had a good strong marriage. One, I know, boring couple that had morals and before Sabrina gets too drawn into the picture.
I want them all to stay on GH! The characters can go, but I want them permanently on GH with no crossovers. Time for them to be fully integrated on GH. If that means different characters, then that is what should be done!
Michael the TVguide article does not say PP wants those characters. They do however talk about ABC & PP are discussing what to do.

I would love star Todd n john to remain on tv on GH .Onl y because i dont have a computer to watch OLTL .N i wouldnt beable to see any of OLTL .if they weren’t on GH.Im excited that OLTL is going to b on the computer.but like i said i wouldnt get to see any oltl if they took star john n Todd .thats the only conection i have left to my show .Now if OLTL aired on tv again .yes put them back .

I want Todd to stay on GH. Starr I hope she goes to OLTL .She has not been enjoyable for me to watch and she doesnt have a very big GH following. John he can stay or go doesnt matter to me
I think Kristen alderson is Great on Gh i have been watching kristen alderson “starr” since she started on oltl and she is a Great actress she has grown so much as an actress . Starr and Michael make a great couple and i would love to see them get married and have kids dont take her off of GH. Let them do both oltl and GH.
I agree Susan, I hope each of the actors involved ultimately get to do what they want to do (which I am sure they will, but it just might not be as John, Todd and Starr, although I hope it will be). If it were my choice, I love both OLTL and GH, but they have now become so meshed into the GH canvas, that I would like them to remain there. Logistically, I am guessing they are all settled into the west coast by now, and PP will be filming on the east coast in Connecticut. I have no idea, but there is probably a big financial difference from one to the other, and there is most likely, more stability at this point, in remaining with GH, although you never know what the future holds. Do not get me wrong, I am so excited for both AMC and OLTL to come to life on the internet, and I so want to see the actors/characters that made these shows what they are, return to Pine Valley and Llanview, but I think these three should remain in Port Charles/GH, but again, it is their choice, and I will respect whatever choice each actor/actress makes.
I agree, I think they should do what is best for them, but I would like to see them linked with both shows. It could easily be done, they have crossed over in the past. Todd is Vicki’s brother, so could go to visit periodically, and Star and Michael could visit the Cramers. John, I don’t know! He wanted to stay with Prospect Park the first time, so maybe he should go to OLTL. Get a new Jason, and let Sam be with her baby’s daddy! We need John and Bo working together again in Landview! Don’t need any vampires!
Todd and John are male leads for OLTL. Starr can stay on GH.

actually, I’m glad they didn’t bring “old Todd” over to GH. He needed an update and soooooo glad they didn’t bring up the rape/marty stuff to GH. I think originally that role, with the rape stuff, was to be short lived, but Roger is so good, they kept him and the character has evolved over the years – he’s grown up – but you know being held captive for 8+ years … they had to make him change here and there… I always like Todd’s funny side and glad we’ve gotten to see more of that on GH, but he still managed to get himself in trouble — He certainly got hoodwinked by Heather!

I was afraid of this. I don’t want them to leave GH. John & Sam are just getting started and Todd & Carly have a lot of story left to tell. Prospect Park should leave Todd on GH and bring Victor back to OLTL. John isn’t needed on OLTL right away. This is a way of losing fans if Prospect Park isn’t careful. One reason they’ve been able to resurrect OLTL is that GH is doing so well. Don’t mess with it. Unless the end game is to destroy GH and then ABC can cancel it?
I’d say both ABC and PP have screwed themselves. ABC for canceling in the first place and PP for not being able to get it off the ground last year. OLTL will not be the same unless John, Todd & Starr are back on their canvas with the same actors/actresses, which will be hard since alot of them have moved from the East Coast to the West. I want ABC to suffer, so I hope they all leave GH – that is why I watch GH in the first place because of OLTL characters! Maybe they’ll learn and finally admit their mistake!
ABC’s karma is coming back to haunt them and I couldn’t be happier. Can’t they leave us the hell alone. I want my shows they way they were with the help of Frank and Ron and GH.
I am a longtime viewer of all ABC shows and hurting GH doesn’t do any viewer any good. I agree that ABC never should have cancelled OLTL in the first place but wishing the worst for GH won’t harm ABC – it only harms longtime viewers who have been through enough. The only way any of these shows survive is by daytime viewers uniting. Let’s not forget, OLTL & AMC are being resurrected because GH has been doing so well in the ratings and had kept Llanview alive.
I agree with Ella. GH has received its best ratings in years since Ron C and Frank V took over and brought OLTL characters over. I’ll continue to watch GH if the charachters do leave but I hope something works out that suits both shows!

I do not like John and Sam nor Todd and Carly. John belongs with Natalie and Todd belongs with Blair! The writers at GH are ridiculous. After all the obstacles John & Natalie overcame to get back together & this piddly kiss with Sam & it’s done. They just expect us longtime viewers to accept this. They are also boring. all sam does is whine to John.
Some longtime viewers do accept this, like me. I have watched all ABC soaps for 30+ years. Todd on GH doesn’t mean he’ll never be with Blair, it is just another obstacle. Welcome to the world of soaps. If GH hadn’t kept Llanview alive, PP wouldn’t be resurrecting OLTL & GH. PP is well aware of GH’s ratings and wants in on the action. The shows and the fans should work together & support all daytime soaps. There are lots of viewers who love GH & OLTL and have for decades. I will never understand the idea that you can’t be a fan of both shows. Viewership isn’t mutually exclusive.
I didn’t say I wasn’t a fan of both shows. However, I didn’t start watching GH until the characters from OLTL crossed over. I like Starr & Michael together, although noone should get to comfortable with them together because I’m fairly certain Cole & Hope will turn up alive, someday.
Happy about OLTL sad that Natalie, John and Liam will not have any story. John and Sam are dull dull dull.
I never liked John and Natlaie; actually when they broke up in Llanview I preferred him with Kelly! (Gina Tognoni). Now that he’s on GH I’d really love to see him with Sam (Kelly Monaco)…their story’s been building and it’s just getting off the ground.
Though I love Blair on OLTL…was enjoying her relationship with Tomas and think that could be interesting to pursue…especially since we’re not sure if he’s truly Alcazar from GH! There could be a lot of intertwining stories between the two shows…
As for Starr and Michael…I can’t relate to GH Starr…she seems disconnected and rather cold…there’s no bond left with Todd. With that said, I love Michael on GH and would be interested to see if they can build a more compelling story between him and Starr.
So…guess I’d like to see all three stay on GH…with story potential on OLT simultaneously through references to them or visits or skyping, etc.

@Barbara…Ummmm, yes, Trevor St. John DID want to leave,and he wanted to leave way before he actually did. He directs film and has recently starred in one. He has been quoted in several articles as saying he never intended on staying that long on OLTL, that he gets restless doing any one project for too long. When OLTL was canceled, he offered to stay a bit longer but by that point, since he had already resigned, they had changed the storyline and couldn’t accommodate him. So, no, they didn’t jump over themselves to get rid of him.
I don’t see PP’s legal department caving in and letting GH use some of their main characters. It would be stupid on their part. Maybe GH can trade off and let OLTL use 3 characters that were created by GH but are no longer on the show.
As a soap fan, I wouldn’t want GHers showing up on OLTL either, just like I don’t enjoy the Livers on GH. Both shows have such rich and separate histories. Bring Starr, John, and Todd back to Llanview and let that be the end of it.

I want the actors and characters to stay! When their contracts runs out they could go over to PP’s OLTL if they want. PP only have themself to blame, if they had gone through with their plans a year ago this wouldn’t happen! They have to accept that they have lost three stars and their characters! They have to work it out in other ways, they can use other OLTL characters! I find this very selfish of PP, I love that OLTL is back online this time, BUT I think it’s a bigger priority to keep GH on ABC that’s on TV NOT THE NET.

I meant that GH’s ratings could go down if PP takes those characters and THAT could lead to ABC canceling GH and soapfans don’t want that. I think Todd, John and Starr should stay with GH, at least until the actors conrtract expires. If they are taken GH have to write them off in what will probably be crappy storys. I’m sure PPs OLTL could survive without those characters and actors for a little while. They have other great characters and actors they can use for the time being.

Somewhat agree Alyson. Prospect Park created this situation/problem themselves. The actors should not be punished for finding work elsewhere and General Hospital shouldn’t lose out because PP finally got their act together.

It’s time for John McBain to go home to Llanview and be John McBain again. Sorry, but GH has destroyed the integrity of John McBain. If OLTL wasn’t cancelled, he would never left Natalie and Liam after all they have been through. He is OLTL and he needs to be chief of detectives again not Dante’s partner. That’s a joke. Sam and John, another joke. No real fire; he comes alive with Natalie and it’s about time he turns his life around and makes it up to Natalie and Liam. If Ron and Frank really care about the character of John McBain that they developed over ten years, they will set him free to be with Natalie and Liam in Llanview.
Starr can stay but Todd needs to go home, too. The Victor/Todd/Tomas story needs to be resolved and so does Todd and Blair and Vicki and Blair.

I’d like John to stay on GH and have a relationship with Sam. The Natalie character never did it for me…and I’m really intrigued by the suggestion that John ‘n’ Sam they knew each other as vampires of Port Charles. Sorry! Like that whole Lestat, Twilight, True Blood, Dark Shadows genre…so the hint of it with the two of them is fun and could make for an intense pair…with or without that connection.
Just no to vampires unless you want GH cancelled too. John has had his fun, now his family needs him to fight for them. The Sam character never did it for me. LOL

Todd & Starr Manning have many ties to the OLTL canvas. LV is their home. ABC already screwed OLTL fans by taking OLTL off their network. ABC should do the right thing and send these 3 characters back where they belong and that’s in Llanview. OLTL should have a chance to succeed with PP and eliminating 3 main characters could potentially hinder the success of this relaunch. GH will be just fine if they send these 3 back to OLTL

Todd and McBain are OLTL characters and need to go back to the canvas where they came from Since their appearance on GH, both have been written completely OOC, HEAs destroyed, and character assination has been the first order of the day. Let them go. At least under the new OLTL writing team, we have some hope of seeing organic redemption and actual believable character growth for both.

The thing is those actors have contracts with GH but OLTL owns the characters so honestly I say PP recast i’m sorry but Starr, Todd and John belong to OLTL.

As far as PP owning the characters, yes, but that doesn’t mean if they’re stubborn and insist on keeping THEM that they will get the actors back even if they’re released by ABC. Roger Howarth and Kirsten Alderson didn’t sign with them last year, so who’s to say they would now? Recast? I wouldn’t watch, that’s for sure.
I remember Kirsten Alderson stating that she would go to General Hospital but her commitment and heart belong to One Life to Live, so I believe that Starr will be going back to Llanview soon. Especially if the new writers write Cole and Hope back in. Maybe they were rescued and have been recupertating somewhere for the past year. Anything is possible on soaps.

I completely agree. I did not like the new actor that was playing Cole at the end. I want Brandon Buddy back. And its not like he is getting any jobs. I haven’t seen him on anything since he left One Life to Live.

I disagree. John did not cheat on Natalie. It was one kiss. They have him mention them, because I think RC/FV were hoping to get them on GH once the PP rights reverted. Now, they can be used as a vehicle for his return.
Tea’s baby will be found alive (just a hunch), the writers can do that. Just like I believe Hope will be found alive. This can also be a vehicle for Starr’s return to Llanview.
Todd has always been a goofball! His humor is one of the things I have always loved about him. No matter how dark he gets, he still has a twisted sense of humor.

I would love the crossovers! I have watched both OLTL and GH for over 40 years and think this would be great. They could make Sam and John really brother and sister and that is why they had such a connection, and maybe Natalie would understand what happened! John needs to be in Landview, but could go back to GH to see his sister from time to time! Michael and Star could do both shows, because kids do move away from home, but come home to visit! Todd could do both shows, and he would have another place to go when he screws up and acts like Todd.
Is PP going to be stable? Why give up a contract at GH for something not firm.

They could close production on GH too. There are no guarantees with these soaps anymore and ABC said last year they wanted out of the soap business so we don’t know how comitted they are to this last ABC soap.
To be perfectly honest I believe that ABC is hoping that Prospect Park does well with AMC and OLTL so that they can cancel GH and GH can also go to Prospect Park online. I wouldn’t put it past them. It only makes sense that they allowed Prospect Park to keep the rights for both of these shows when they had every chance to tell PP to give the rights back to them. I am very happy that PP is taking OLTL and AMC to the Internet. I believe that it is going to work out really well. What would really be great is if Soap Net can show the Online shows on their channel for the people that don’t have computers or the Internet. That would work perfectly.

How long do you think GH has left on the network? Certainly not years and years. If PP succeeds, this will be groundbreaking stuff (like the move from radio to television). I’m excited to see what will happen.
You have a right to your opinion. But I disagree, I will definitely watch online and I know many others who will also. They are also looking into other platforms for re-airing (Hulu, Netflix, CABLE) so the shows stay viable and successful.
By stating you will not watch online – you are only limiting your viewing choices! Many series are coming to life on the web…
Are you kidding me? There are millions of fans who have the Internet and will do whatever they have to watch their soaps. There will probably only be a handful of people that either don’t want to watch on the Internet or don’t have the Internet. But for the most part, most fans will have access to a computer and the shows. Just you wait and see.
I have read that the shows will be online first, then go to a cable network, hopefully that will work out for everyone.

Yes John should come back and work things out with Natalie. The new writers are lucky that they will have some conflict already pending that they can work and can write their reconciliation.
Todd and Starr are better on GH. I never liked either of them much on OLTL but I enjoy them now on GH. Although I do enjoy Sam and John, he should really be on OLTL.
Please for the love of god give those characters back to OLTL. aybe then some of our favorite Gh characters can get some screen time!
Ultimately it’s up to the actors though. PP can win the rights and take the characters and abc can terminate the actors contracts if they don’t want or need them but if the actors refuse to sign on with PP it would all mean nothing.
OLTL isn’t OLTL for me without Todd interacting with Viki. I hope all the OLTL characters go to PP even if they have to be recast.

Téa (Florencia) was on contract for a short while, and Blair (Kassie) was never on contract because she didn’t want to be.
Wrong, Scott. Neither FL or KDP had Gh contracts, but for sure Kassievwanted one.
I agree with Margie. I know Kassie wanted to be on contract but sources said that PP would not allow it. My guess is that when Todd, Starr, and John were brought on soon after the show went off the air, PP didn’t care because they had given up hope of making it work. Then shortly after that they started working on it again (privately) and that is why they couldn’t let more come over on contract.
Because PP had no deals in place when the characters ‘moved’ to Port Charles.

lol… I knew i should have added in my first post that I KNOW they were played by other actors in the past. I have watched these shows (all three) since i was a little girl… for over 40 years, i am now 50 yrs old) I have seen actors come and go and the like.. just stating the point that these characters have been played by these certain actors for the Majority of the on air time and would surely be missed if they were recast…. Alderson was the “only” Starr, and would be missed if she were not to return as said character. And Eddie and Destiny… i feel are the same… YET… I do know the Characters need to grow, and as they do on “a soaps life” age quite rapidly (with the exception of Elizabeths kids… Cameron should be older than molly for goodness sake… but…. ) ANYWHO…. i just like these three in the roles they have made their own… But it is whatever they decide to do… Just Glad as hell that my program will continue on so my daughter can enjoy it as she gets older. She was just starting to get into it when it was cancelled.. she is 12. She is pleased as punch that it is returning. I have never been able to get into GH. I have never watched until the OLTL characters crossed over. I guess it depends on how much I would have to pay. I have heard 7.99 a month. Time will tell.

I would love to see Roger Howarth’s Todd brought back to Llanview for OLTL’s first story arc at least so they can clear up the Todd/Victor storyline. Really in the end what it boils down to is what Roger Howarth wants to do…he might not even want to sign on with PP…I don’t think he ever signed on with them during PP’s first go round. Glad to see that these beloved characters have FINALLY been accepted by the GH fans!
So just let Prospect Park have the CHARACTERS, we will keep the actors, thank you.
Seriously if the actors are happy, then it would be much better for GH to give them all new identities which could open up all new possibilities for them.
I am a huge Michael Easton/John McBain fan, however, I have to acknowledge that he was much better on OLTL than GH. My first priority is to continue Michael Easton as John McBain anywhere, but my preference would be on OLTL. Roger Howarth/Todd Manning was also better on OLTL. Kristen Alderson/Starr Manning was about the same on both shows. I think it would be a huge mistake to have different actors playing their roles on OLTL, or the actors playing different roles on GH. Why can’t they do cameo appearances on both shows until it is clear which show they fit better on?
Since ABC and Prospect Park are 2 separate entities I would be shocked to see any type of crossover. After all now ABC is getting what they want “out of the soap business” I am thinking ABC regrets their decision to cancel our soaps. I won’t be watching GH anymore when they come back and I bet a lot of others won’t either.
Here’s a better idea, recast Kristen Alderson as Serina Baldwin or someone else that was already a legacy character then she has her own backstory. Do the same for Michael Easton and Roger Howarth. It’s not rocket science. Yeah, it might blow some viewers minds for a few days, but they would get used to it.
I only want Starr brought back to OLTL if they can bring back Cole and Hope back from the dead for her… Starr and Michael are terrible together!
PLEASE keep them on GH!! OLTL is only going to be a half hour that is a waste of time for them & ruining the storylines we have vested in all this time! GH has finally been worth watching again & I believe that is partly b/c of the humor that Todd brings to the table!
No matter what happens, if Viki doesn’t come back, then I am not interested in what happens. I watched OLTL for 40 years and she would be the reason I would watch.
How much are you willing to pay a month to watch them online?
Whatever they charge…
They need to go back to OLTL, that is their home.
