This season on ABC’s Revenge is certainly much better than the last.  Now in upcoming episodes and through to the season finale look for some interesting new characters to visit the Hamptons, and for a big cliffhanger come May!

According to reports from E Online, the season finale will be entitled ‘Execution” And it would seem from the teasers they gave that it is appropriately titled:  “You will see one of your favorites in prison and not they’re not having a great time in the slammer. And there’s a trial. And a visit to the psych ward. And somebody’s dead. And that’s all we’ll tell you.”

The outlet also reported that before the season comes to a conclusion look for Margaux’s (Karine Vannase) half-brother to make a untimely visit! “Margaux’s half-brother, the devious and dashing Gideon, will make an appearance in the season three finale. And he’s sticking around for season four (it’s just a formality that ABC hasn’t announced one yet). But be warned: he has a dark side.”

Plus, someone is on to Emily(Emily VanCamp) and may be hunting her down, according to E Online:  “Fans will be meeting the clever and dangerous NYPD Homicide Detective Brian Hosko later this season and he is definitely onto her. And yes, you read that right: homicide is hitting the Hamptons again!”

So, who do you think will be on trial?  Who will be in the slammer?  Who will visit the psych ward? Who will be dead? Let us know your thoughts and the story continues tonight with an all-new Revenge starting at 10PMEST/PST!

Why is Steven Strait in the minor role of a private detective? Is there something bigger coming for his character?

Oh please let the death be Margaux’s….absolutely cannot stand any more of her smug mug and grating voice!!!! Maybe her half-bro will kill her….or her sleazy father! Olivier Martinez really made my skin crawl with his appearance this evening….beware Victoria!!!!!! P.S. Missing Patrick : (

Gah! Hahahahahah…Still lovin’ Margaux! Do not kill…repeat do not kill!

Man. Olivier’s dark, evil side has caught up to his once-good looks! Not the looker he once was…

Oooooo….I knew my wish to eliminate Margaux would not go over well with you, rebecca1!!!! But it still stands…LOL! As for Olivier, you nailed it….seems like his “spouse” and their evil antics have drained the life out of him….will never understand why so many have fallen for that obviously off-her-rocker woman!

P.S. Karma, baby…karma! ; )

Network Exec, Angelica McDaniel On Y&R’s Staying Power: “We Have This Award-Winning, Ratings-Generating, Money-Making Show, And It Really Adds Value To CBS.”

This week, The Young and the Restless celebrated 30 years as the number-one rated daytime soap opera.  That is a streak of 1,560 weeks in the top spot.

Angelica McDaniel, executive vp daytime programs and syndicated program development at CBS, spoke to the Hollywood Reporter on what has made this remarkable run; attributing it to strong storytelling and a cast that includes several beloved veterans who have been around the entire time.

The executive noted that while other soaps over the years have fallen by the wayside, and even though we are down to only four surviving network soap operas, that Y&R will be around with no end in sight.

McDaniel stated, “We have this award-winning, ratings-generating, money-making show, and it really adds value to CBS. We expect it be a part of our lineup in the future.”

She also added, “The Young and the Restless has some of the best actors in the industry — not in soaps, not in daytime, but in television. We have iconic, legacy characters that have been on our show for decades. Melody Thomas Scott will be celebrating her 40th year on the show in February. Peter Bergman just reached his 30th anniversary in November. Eric Braeden started in 1980. We just have an incredible arsenal of actors who are so talented and play these characters so well that you don’t even realize they’re characters. They become people who are part of your life, part of your daily existence.”

As for the continual investment and ways the audience watches the show on various platforms, McDaniel expresed: “The great thing about daytime television is we have loyal, passionate viewers, and they really like to tune in day and date. They want to stick with their stories and see what’s happening today. … Having said that, The Young and the Restless is also one of the top streamed shows on CBS.com. As trends evolve, we are where our viewers are, and we’re making shows readily accessible so they can get their fix and follow their stories.”

So, what do you think about Y&R? Will it remain if and when all other soaps have come to theirconclusion? Do you think it will continue on for years to come, given its position at number #1? Comment below!

Jacob Young Offers Up Thoughts On Rick and Maya’s Split On The Bold and the Beautiful

As fans of CBS Daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful know, Daytime Emmy-winner Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) has been off the canvas for some time, and the actor had gone on recurring status with the series.

Young has been busy with other projects involving acting roles, his You Tube show, and music career, but certainly is open to a return to the soap opera.

But after the cover of this week’s Soap Opera Digest hit newsstands; which indicates that Rick and Maya have split with the return on-air of Karla Mosley (Maya) (who had been off the show for maternity leave), it clearly looks like the show is moving in a different direction.

Jacob took to Twitter to offer up his feelings on the matter tweeting: “I for one am incredibly sad and disappointed. Rick and Maya have split. (Love that would never die) I loved working with Karla Mosley.  it has been the highlight of my 21 year career in daytime. TRUST ME when I say your opinion matters.”

Since that posting, fans of the couple known as #Raya, have been voicing their thoughts and sharing photos of the on-screen duo.  Young responded to one in particular saying, “Who remembers this? Gosh, I miss Maya.”  In it,the posting read: “This is heartbreaking, Raya was the only example of what true love looks like on that soap!”

Previously, B&B has told the emotional and socially-relevant love story of a transgender woman falling in love with one of the men of the wealthy and renowned Forrester family.

So, what do you think of Jacob’s comments?  Do you want Rick back on the canvas?  What should then happen next for Maya with no Rick?  Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
