REVENGE Showrunner Sunil Nayar Chats Nolan and Patrick & Says "A Young Protege From Prison" Will Rattle Nolan's World!

All new episodes of Revenge begin again this Sunday on ABC, in it’s new old timeslot from 10PMEST/PST!  In an interview with Xfinity.com, the series showrunner, Sunil Nayar answered some questions about the same-sex romance of Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Patrick (Justin Hartley) and previews just who comes into Nolan’s life next!

On the duo of Polan, Nayar related:  “It’s a fascinating dynamic because it’s not the love triangle that you usually see.  It’s a person torn between a passionate love of two people with whom they want to be in a relationship. It’s the person who’s torn between the love of the person who’s their mother, who they’re just getting to know, and their lover, who they’re just getting to know.  So that was really for us what the power of the story was, and so I think the fact that it was a gay relationship was almost secondary to the fact that it’s just a powerful relationship story that we got to tell.”

As to what is ahead for Nolan, Nayar would say:  “He’s fully in support of what Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) doing. I mean, you’ll see how he deals with the nature of Emily’s blackout situations. It affects him very deeply, and then coming up later in the season he also has sort of a young protégé from prison join him who also sort of rattles his entire world.”

So, do you hope that Nolan and Patrick will somehow continue?  Are you intrigued to find out who the “young protege’ from prison” could be and how it will affect Nolan’s world later this season? Comment below!

Revenge is very intriguing on the edge drama and highly character orientated..
ABC has a winner with their prime time soaps (include Scandal- it is also an earth shaker of a serial drama..
Looking forward to Revenge moving on into.????
Lovin Nolan !!!

Yes, I’m looking forward on Revenge too !!!! I like Emily &Nolan and the sweet bad boy Daniel.

The pairing of Nolan and Patrick has added such an interesting new dimension to “Revenge” because it encompasses ties to all the major players, which makes the couple both daring and dangerous in their being together. Although I still maintain that it’s a loss for the ladies to have these two cuties involved with one another, it really does make perfect sense in the scheme of things…..plus their relationship transcends the usual casual, stereotypical portrayals we usually see on television (Hello GH!) …as there are a lot of layers and motivations here to delve into. Just don’t want to see Nolan get hurt (again)….he is such a sweetheart! Complicated, yes, but a doll!!!!! That being said, I hope that Patrick will remain on the show, given Justin Hartley’s new sitcom role….he has added so much excitement and intrigue to “Revenge.”
