Rot-ro! Looks like bad boy Ben Weston is about to return to Salem!

In news on Tuesday, none other than Rob Scott Wilson will be back on the canvas of Days of our Lives reprising his role of the troubled young killer.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Wilson will be seen starting the week of September 25th!

What will Ben’s arrival mean for several key characters whose lives were turned upside down when he was revealed to be a serial killer, and supposedly took the life of Will Horton, and drove Abigail insane?  When Ben arrives back on the scene what will be his modus operandi?  So many questions to be answered!

Are you, excited to learn Rob is coming back to DAYS? Comment below!

I don’t care what he does in the story. He proved his worth as an actor when he took that role to new heights. He is a great actor who really grew through his time on DAYS. Looking forward to seeing him back on the air. Oh yeah….did I mention how incredibly beautiful that man is?? Lord have mercy on my soul. Welcome back Mr. Wilson. My admiration for your acting skills is high and my libido is raised. LOL…Can’t wait!!

I think it will be anticlimactic.

Hell yes, I’m excited to see Ben again! RSW is the consummate professional with the right amount of energy in each and every scene! This should be fun!

What the heck? Baby Ben is alive???? Who knew!

He is filming scenes of the Will rewrite death. Big shock!!

Thats what i was going to say

You’re right Jovian…Ben had to come back to re-create Will’s murder scenes.
I really don’t expect him to do anything other than that.
I don’t believe he will return ‘present day’, but only in flashbacks.

He’s there for more than flashbacks, SZima. He’ll most likely interrupt the wedding with news that Will is alive. The killer and his victim are forever entwined. It makes sense for Ben to return with the return of Will. And considering the other couple of the double wedding is Chad and Abby, it makes further sense.

I hated that they made him a killer. I think that with the actress playing his sister leaving, they just up and decided to make him crazy. They should have just made his father the killer. He was already a villain.

Well, that makes sense. I wondered how TPTB were going to pull off the re-murder of Will….hence Ben.
So exciting to see how all this will go down.
More importantly, perhaps we will be regaled with the supposed “behind the scenes” of what really happened to Will; how he survived; and, why the subterfuge …..why go into hiding?
I am deliriously in love with Days, again.

PS…..lest I forget….extremely happy to see Rob Scott’s beautiful face on my screen. Thanks, Days!!!!
Can he be redeemed?? Oh, please, please, please?!?!

Will probably will come back with amnesia for months…someone will see Will, think he is a ghost and no one will believe him or her…off camera Will was found to have a faint pulse, heart beat and breath…Sami was there and secretly put Will in hiding to protect him from Ben…Will was in coma, woke up and took off for Salem not knowing why…Sami finds Will missing and returns…she finds Will and takes him away just about when he is about to run into Sonny…

Yes, Jimmy…I like it. Why haven’t the soap gods discovered you, yet????

I’m happy that Rob is keeping busy. I don’t think Abigail and Chad will be to happy to see crazy Ben again.

WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!! N-o-w…bring back James Read aka Clyde and I’ll be an EVEN HAPPIER CAMPER!!!!! TOTALLY!!!!!

Later.

Hear, hear!

Yes, James Read is the one Days (or anyone) should bring him back.

I am only too happy to be able to laud his career … meteoric rise

and to just thank him ; again… for all that DAYS is

for three “newbies” to have taken the leap of faith in each other and just give way to what acting is all about… dang it !

i’m so glad to even mention congratulations to Kate Mansi ON WINNING an EMMY for this threesome. plus DAYS for giving way to these newfound talents

GOD

i’m so happy for these three

Billy Flynn
Kate Mansi
Rob Scott Wilson

standing O , anyone?

I thought he was good in the role, but that was when a different actress was playing Abigail and she brought a certain level of energy to the role that the current actress does not really have – I don’t mean that unkindly, I just felt that the scenes between Ben and Abigail were interesting and I don’t know if that strain can be recreated.

I know, right, Jake? Kate Mansi WAS Abigail. I can’t get into this new girl, albeit she is stepping up…seems more confident.
Nonetheless, it will be kind of weird….I do agree, some characters click, some do not. We shall see what will unfold….

I’m not that surprised that Days has brought back Rob Wilson as Ben because with Chad and Abigail to get remarried soon it makes sense for Ben to return to cause trouble for them.Plus since it was Ben who “killed” Will he may have info that shows how Will survived.

Looking forward to it. I hope it’s more than just the recreation of the scenes with Will.

I know how this goes down:

Will shows up and Paul and Sonny see him but decide to postpone the wedding. Ben shows up and sees Will alive. Ben tells Will he is sorry for manhandling him but did it because he was jealous of Will being with Sonny. Will accepts Ben’s apology and the double wedding that didn’t happen before will now take place except it will be the Sonny/Paul and Will/Ben nups. After the wedding, the two couple go riding into the sunset together where they all live happily ever after.

Anybody like my storytelling?

I am sure he is filming scenes with Chandler which makes perfect sense. I loved hating Ben and I love watching Rob. He is gorgeous!

Welcome back it has Ben such a long time since we have seen the troubled young man.

From the movie. Bride Wars, to being the first male model on The Price Is Right and snatching a role on Days Of Our Lives. Those scenes of Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) as the killer murdering “Will” was the best dramatic, horrifying scenes I have ever scene on Days. Reminded me of the murders on “Loving” before the soap left the air. I doesn’t bother me when Days gets darker and becomes film noir when creating a serial killer story line.

Great news! I hope his daddy, played by the amazing James Read returns too!

James Read–yes! Great actor. I wanted him to come on GH–alas, no go.

I was shocked he did not win an d Emmy for his role. It was MUST watch every day leading up to Will’s death and Ben’s descent into madness. I wish it could be long term.

I agree, Ray. Rob’s acting was above and beyond perfect. Then again, Gina Tognoni won best actress…what does that tell you?

If they’re going to re-film the whole murder scene, I’d greatly prefer a different outcome. I’d much rather see Will fight back, quickly and decisively putting Ben into the hospital, while Will walks away unharmed. It is stomach-turning to see Will portrayed as the stereotypical limp-wristed defenseless gay man.

As much as I like both actors, I don’t know how much I can stand reliving this horrible smearing of an otherwise delightful character. (The garbage bag scene still raises my blood pressure.)

I was really hoping that they’d use Chandler’s return as an opportunity to move on to other wonderful stories, while putting the previous writer’s ugly mistakes behind them.

“Thank You ” for your first paragraph.

it would be a proud moment should we see Will – turn this all around and defend himself, like any other man. RSW is a well built muscular man.. and the surprise attack may have just shocked Guy Wilson’ Will. be that as it may… fan posts were up in arms.. that GW didn’t seem to defend himself

I’m still wondering how long Chandler Massey is back for

perhaps @4ever can shed some light.

I can’t wait for more Chandler Massey

My first thought was that if any scene needed re-filming, it was Sonny and Will’s marriage ceremony — not Ben’s repulsive murder of Will.
However, upon further thought, it might be better if they simply moved the story along forward with new material, rather than retroactive continuity trying to fix the past.

I know, ChandlerFan….I watched that scene through my fingers as my hand covered my face….and, with trepidation.
Between a rock and a hard place, I guess.

No, he should try a completely different role on another show. Can’t repeat the intensity of the first time as the evil person he was. Afraid he will just be repeating and weakening a performance that was truly chilling and, with Kate Mansi, high drama.
