Robert Adamson Makes a Return to The Young and the Restless

Photo: JPI

Beginning next Friday September 4th look for Noah Newman to be back on-screen in Genoa City when Robert Adamson makes another return to the CBS daytime drama series.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Adamson will be back as Noah checks on his mom during her cancer battle, which means some touching scenes hopefully between Sharon (Sharon Case) and Noah.

Robert has played Noah on and off on-screen since 2012.

So will you be glad to see that Noah is back to support and rally around his mom?  Would you like Robert Adamson back on-screen fulltime? Comment below.

I like it when they bring back family members for holidays, medical crises, etc. But for the life of me, I can’t remember where Noah is supposed to be or what he’s doing.

As of the night of Victor’s big party, and Victoria’s stabbing,he was I think living in London and was some kind of photographer. That was really the last I saw of him. I wonder how long he is going to stay this time.

Great news! This has been a sorely missed actor and character. Why he had to go is beyond me. The more core characters that can be used more regularly, the better this show has of even surviving. The ratings are horrible and this is no time for that to continue. Just look at the past shows not deserving of cancellation. Something, just anything needs to be done, and quickly to a show that was once “can’t miss.”

I don’t feel they ever knew how to write for the character.

Wow
We have a real son of central characters Sharon and Nick, with two sisters involved in the younger set. He should easily be intertwined with Mariah , Tessa and Summer and helping out Lola especially their shared club and restaurant intrests! He should be giving Kyle a run for his money with Lola!!!
….
Instead we get a forced insta cousin with this Theo b.s nonsense!
C’mon. Give me a break!!
No one cares( sorry 5 ppl maybe tops)
Adamsons a stud and has ties and fans want him back
Josh Griffith and Theo need to be gone last year

I am sorry, I tried watching a Y&R today, boring…Again, Y&R hasn’t been Y&R in years…

After watching the older episodes, I agree with you. It is getting way beyond ridiculous. I so sick of Abby and Phyllis. Could care less about Adam and the farm because you known fool well he is going to wind up with Sharon. And I am also annoyed with Nick having nothing better to do than walk around town like he God’s greatest gift. Enough is enough. I would rather they have the fans pick a year of favorite stories and show them in order from start to finish. Or better yet bring back the Soap Opera Channel and start the the show from day one. And bring back a lot of the cancelled shows.

I so agree, watching the classic/older shows was Y&R at it’s finest and I so miss those days…I would LOVE for them to bring back the Soap Opera Channel and start the show from day one, I would be watching along with other canceled shows…

Noah is a completely underused character. You would think the son of two prominent characters and the oldest grandchild of one of its main families would be a MAJOR presence on the show. He is of the age when his character should be front-and-center, in the middle of torrid love affairs/triangles. Instead, the writers never bothered to give the character one ounce of personality (what exactly is this guy about? i can’t tell you if he is decent, smart, driven, scheming, or tortured). The character is bland. Rather than being a central character in a plot, he only serves a supporting role for others. Heck, he didn’t even act enraged when his OWN half-sister “stole” his girlfriend from him. The writers just have given the poor guy nothing. When the writers didn’t have any more use for him, they just shipped him to a previously never mentioned Newman division in India.

I guess we’ll see Noah stop by for a couple of episodes (in typical fashion) to check on his mother. Then, just as fast as he arrives, Noah will be gone.

Noah is a symbol of a main problem with the current show — The writers have never invested the time and attention to properly developing/focusing on the “next” generation of the key families. They haven’t invested in the future of the show. Noah, Abbey and, to lesser extent, Kyle have never had good writing for them. We’ll never get to know (and, as a result, never really care for) them the way we did with the older more veteran characters.

Before she was Noah’s age, Grandma Nikki had been through the ringer — gullible/slightly dumb/love-striken woman who had been involved with a cult, murdered her father, almost became a prostitute, did become a stripper. What has Noah done in his years — fell in love with lesbian and been a loyal supporting character to Nick and Sharon. Basically, Noah has become a new “Esther” when he really should be a new “Jack.”

I could careless if the character comes back or not. It will serve no purpose.

Very well said Barbara from Atlanta…CBS/SONY, wake up, WHY DON”T YOU DO SOMETHING? You all DO NOT listen to the fans…I hate to be rude but as fans from the 70’s we know what good daytime dramas/soaps are about and Y&R is not a good show anymore and I will say it again since CBS/Sony let Kay Alden and many other staff members go along with the music team that is still with B&B but let go from Y&R…

I agree with the other comments. I really like Noah and Robert Adamson. I’ve always wanted him on canvas permanently instead of these brief returns. Like another poster, I also don’t remember where he’s now supposed to be, or indeed which company he’s working for. I think last time he was in London but it was somewhere else when he first left.

When he returns and sees his mother, the current and necessary physical distancing will really be apparent because all he will want to do is hug her.

I agree with everyone. He’s been so neglected and underused as a character. Hope this isn’t a spoiler, but I think he’s returning again as a possible pairing with Lola. I can’t stand the thought of her getting closer with that jerk Theo, so this would be a breath of fresh air!

Lisa Rinna Would Be Down to Reprise Her Role of Taylor McBride in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot

When Lisa Rinna departed her popular role of Billie Reed on Days of our Lives back in 1995, her next major role would be a jump to primetime and the soapy Melrose Place.

In 1996, Lisa was introduced as new character Taylor McBride and stayed with the Fox young adult sudser for three seasons. Now in 2024, with the recent reveal that a Melrose Place revival is the works with Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton all on board to reprise their signature roles, would Rinna board the project should it come to fruition?

Speaking with PEOPLE, Rinna expressed, “Well, gosh, I’ve heard about it. I haven’t been approached or anything, but I would love to see what Taylor McBride is up to 25 years later. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Photo: FOX

OG Melrose Place fans know that in story, Taylor moved to the Melrose Place apartment building with her husband Kyle played by Rob Estes. However, Taylor had her eye on Dr. Peter Burns played by former GH star Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco). But, by the time she had moved to the apartment complex, Peter had married tough as nails ad executive, Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear.

Recalling her time on Melrose Place, Rinna added that it, “was one of my greatest and most fun acting experiences, playing Taylor and working with Heather and the whole crew.”  Rinna also noted, “So if they need a Taylor McBride appearance, they know who to call. I’m around.”

The new Melrose Place is in development at CBS Studios. In the premise of the reboot, the Melrose Place residents reunite after the death of one of their friends, “but the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you want to see Lisa Rinna reprise her Melrose Place role as Taylor McBride? Comment below.

Sean Kanan’s Stepdaughter, Juliet Vega, to Appear on The Bold and the Beautiful

Coming up on this Friday’s April 26th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Juliet Vega, the stepdaughter to Sean Kanan will make an appearance on the CBS daytime drama series in the role of Michele.

Keeping it “All in the Family”, the character is named after Juliet’s real-life mother, and Kanan’s wife, writer and producer, Michele Kanan.

Back in 2012, Sean married Michele Vega and thus began their blended family which included his daughter, Simone, and Michelle’s children, Peter, Gigi, and her twins, Annie and Juliet.

According to a B&B show spokesperson, Juliet’s B&B character is intentionally named Michele in honor of her mother and Sean’s wife.

While we don’t know how “Michele” shows up in story, it is the same episode that Clint Howard makes an appearance as well seemingly tied to the case of where in the world is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

Photo: CBS

We can’t imagine that Juliet wouldn’t get the opportunity to mix it up on-screen with her stepdad, Sean Kanan. Previously, the two acted together in Sean’s streaming series Studio City, where she played the role of Delilah and he played soap actor, Sam Stevens. In it, Delilah is the bio-daughter Sam never knew he had.

So, looking forward to seeing Juliet on B&B and how ‘Michele’ turns up in the story? Comment below.
