Look for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) son, Noah Newman, to be back on the Genoa City canvas of The Young and the Restless later this fall.

However, the role will now be played by Rory Gibson.

Gibson takes over the role of Noah from Robert Adamson who viewers last saw in the role in 2020.

Some of Rory’s previous credits have included the TV movies: A Night to Regret and Twisted Twin as well as the films, Grace and Severed Road.

So excited to see Y&R’s new Noah? Comment below.

???? why the switch???

I think it may have something to do with Mark Grossman. Grossman is two years younger than Robert Adamson(Former Noah) and they decided that someone younger had to take on the role.

This is the third Noah. Why?

I actually think this will be the fourth
There were two teen/ young adult Noahs before Robert Adamson
The 1st was on for several years and involved with Eden, Michael Baldwins sister
The third came and went quick

Yeah, why the switch? Was Robert unavailable?

That’s my question! He looks younger than Mariah and Summer!

Some people stayed young looking. Just like David Tom. Who came back to the role of Billy. Then I read he got replaced because too young looking. That is when Billy Miller took over the role as Billy.

I guess, but he’s the older brother of Mariah, Summer & Faith.

I believe Mariah and Cassie were born before Noah.

He is not older than Mariah. Sharon had Cassie and Mariah when she was a young teenager before she met Nick. Not that it matters. The show screwed with the ages of these characters so badly when they aged Summer.

They have ALWAYS maintained, and made huge story out of the fact that Summer was born after Cassie died. Cassie was 15 when she died. That means, if aging was logical, that Mariah (as Cassie’s twin), would be 15 years older than Summer.

Summer would be about 27 now, which would make Mariah 42, which would make Sharon 58:

Ah soaps! Lol.

JJ,
You are right and that age thing is crazy, right? Summer seemed younger when she was just a spoiled teen, called Snowflake by Mariah.

Lew S
Summer was born between Mariah/Cassie and Noah, than came Faith.

He’s good looking and we need for the role of Noah to return to the canvass but this actor seems to be a decade younger than the role portrayed by Robert Adamson. This is strange – a reverse SORAS???

While it’s long overdue for Noah to be on the canvas, really disappointed that Robert Adamson will not be returning.

it had to be–
with Summer and Kyle gone they need to replace with another
he will go to work with Billy, most likely.
much better– he should work with Adam..
whichever- he will be given a CO or VP position, like Kyles.
He is very handsome I will enjoy looking at him 😉

Bring back Noah? Good move. Just don’t forget to write meaningful and compelling story for the character… With an eye on longevity. I don’t want to see a lame disappointing return as we had recently with Stitch.

Adamson never hurt the role or helped it. Maybe this young man can turn the volume up and make Noah a stronger Newman.

He looks younger than the other Noah. Guess Noah is back from London. I hope they have good story for him.

I wish him well, but I have always held out hope that Kevin G. Schmidt would return to the role at some point.

Me, too, jamesj75. I’m so happy with Mark Grossman that I’ve decided to be more open to recasts. For every disastrous recast, like GH’s nuSpencer and now Drew, there’s a Mark G. to make up for it. I’d hoped cutie Casey Moss (ex-DOOL’s J.J.) might be the new Noah but…

Sweet Soaphound, I was so hoping for someone to agree with my point about Kevin G. Schmidt. And you stepped up to the plate! Glad you’re happy about Grossman — I can see that. Oh, and Casey Moss? The DOOL braintrust should be tar-and feathered for letting him go. He has star power, acting chops, and good looks. Also, his character is part of a major Salem family.

And this gives me a chance to go on a rant about Johannesburg! I now harbor disdain for this faraway city I have never visited, nor will I visit. Since when did Johannesburg become a mecca for young people to pursue their dreams, to cultivate their careers, and to find love? Johannesburg can keep Theo, but bring back Claire and JJ. From one JJ to another…

Should be Zach tinker as Fenn returning to fill the young adult role void from Michael Mealor
Especially to give Lauren and Michael something meaningful , the Gloria crap is very tired

Rory is handsome can’t wait to see him!glad he will be noah and hope he gets an exciting and front line storyline the previous Noah was not exciting enough to me this actor already has my interest.welcome rory to y&r now i have someone to watch besides Adam and Sally !

Ah, I think you hit the nail right on the head!! Maybe he’s being brought on for Sally? This thing with Adam won’t go anywhere and she will be a thorn in the side for Sharon, Nick, Nikki and Victor.

Lew S,
Can’t believe you suggested the idea of Noah and Sally. I wrote the same thing last night and than deleted it thinking I was crazy. At first I thought that Sally and Noah would drive the Newmans insane especially Nicki, knowing what she did to Summer. I wonder why Victor has not gone after this witch, and wonder, does he even know what that woman did with all her conniving? Also, isn’t she closer to Adam’s age than Noah’s?

I agree, Violet. What’s with this new, passive Victor? Actually telling Sally that it’s “a pleasure meeting you.” Really? He should start sharing his vitriol for Billy with a few more people! And the thought of that witch with gorgeous and brilliant Mark Grossman sickens me.

Soaphound,
O.K my dear, calm down. I think your Adam is safe for now from that witch. I think they are going to point her towards nu-Noah. Then maybe that will get Victor’s attention. Yes, I thought everyone including Phyllis would be clamoring for his help regarding what Sally in cahoots with Kyle’s ex did to Summer. I just wonder if this was a slip-up on the writer’s part or done intentionally? At the time it seemed so obvious a fix for a problem that Victor would have no qualms about getting into.

Soaphound,
Can’t believe Victor giving Adam grief today over seeing “that woman, after what she did to Summer.” Finally, he says something, why didn’t he at least try to nip the bitch in the bud when she was driving his granddaughter out of town? Let’s see what he does when she goes after his grandson Noah. That will be interesting.

Usually, when the show recast the role. Because the actor or actress is not available. Or take a different direction with the character.

I’m just glad you are bringing Noah back i know this isn’t on/off the topics but the lady with the green dress at grand phoenix please change

Margaret,
Is this the one someone also mentioned about always walking back and forth in the bar/longue area? Well, if it is, they finally let her say a few words to Billy when he was trying to get her to let him into Victor’s suite at the big shindig.

I love that this legacy character is being returned. As an adult, Noah has been played by 3 actors. I liked them all, but none of them made such an identifiable mark on Noah that a recast couldn’t be possible! This actor looks believable as Noah, and I hope the writers do some good writing for him!!

Just saw the newest Noah today at the wedding. He’s very good looking and likeable. I Sure hope he doesn’t get mixed up with that red haired manace Sally.

I agree, VIOLET. He can ACT, without the usual grace period of natural awkwardness. I was very impressed on all levels, looks and talent. Just keep him away from that train wreck Sally is right! Maybe she can find some wealthy Tuscan count and get out of town for good.

Whoever this new Noah is, is a big change. He has the ability to change his facial expression from one thing to another with ease. Almost too often. Other Noah was “kind and gently” seeming. This one has opened other possibilities. I wonder!

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

By

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Courtesy/ABC

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
