Sarah Brown's new role on Days of our Lives revealed!

Days of our Lives this morning released an official statement welcoming Sarah Brown to the cast and revealed who she will be playing in Salem! The show confirms that Brown will play Madison James, a powerful and seductive CEO who looks to take on, in one way or another, Sami, Kate, Brady, and Victor.

Sarah stated about her new role: “Days of our Lives is one of television’s historic gems. I’m excited to join such a talented cast as well as to play such a strong yet feminine character that will inspire our female viewer.” The three time Daytime Emmy winner, joins former cast members Matthew Ashford, Christie Clark, and Patrick Muldoon, who are returning to the show, in celebrating its 46th season on the air.

Greg Meng, DAYS Co-Executive Producer, commented, “We are thrilled to have Sarah join our family at ‘Days.’ We needed a strong actress who can mold this character and go toe-to-toe with other strong actresses such as Alison Sweeney and Lauren Koslow. Madison defines a new femininity, displaying confidence, savvy, and elegance.”

Quote “plus he looks like john and marelna”, Kyle Lowder was Brady from 2000 – 2005. But I’m not sure why Kyle or Eric should look like Marlena. Brady’s mother is Isabella Toscano Black, not Marlena. I think it would be great to finally have Nicole/Brady/ and now Madison story! Nicole & Brady have been need of new story and direction for a long while! It’s about time Nicole & Brady got a story and someone to tackle. It’s been reported that Madison will set her sights on Brady. Which means that you know Nicole is not going to like that one bit!

Nicole/Brady/Madison story makes great sense and something new and fresh for the characters of Brady and for Nicole, and the right placement and direction for them together!

No offense well actually a lot of offense! So they let go of a phenomenal two time emmy winning out of this world talented actress Crystal Chappell ,and turn around and hire Sarah brown? They had so much potential with Bo and Carly, Jenn and Carly or even Daniel and Carly. Im extremely disappointed and DOOL has just taken what little interest I had in watching the show and chucked it out the window! Ill finish watching CC storyline and shut DOOL off permanently! I think it’s a good hire. We’ll miss carly,vivian etc. but who knows they may be brought back later. i’ve heard rumors that chloe may return late 2011,early 2012. As far as the current storylines the writers are tying up loose ends to relaunch the show. Let’s give them a chance before we judge them. More vets would be nice. and hey who knows if the ratings go up and stay up we may all get our wishes or a days spin off??????

Raven Bowens is the New Chanel on DAYS

There has been a casting switcheroo at Days of our Lives. Precious Way is out in the role of Chanel Dupree and the part had been recast.

Way debuted on-screen back in March of 2021, but now comes word, first via Jason 47’s Facebook page, that Chanel will be played by actress Raven Bowens.

According to Soap Opera Digest, look for Bowens to first air on-screen on the July 6th episode. Apparently, she has been taping at the DAYS set since April.

Raven has previously appeared on All Rise, Insecure, The New Edition Story and Future Man.

DAYS Alison Sweeney Previews the New EJami

Coming up on Days of our Lives, Dan Feurerriegel take over the role of EJ DiMera on-screen, and the character is making quite the timely, or untimely return to Salem now that Sami (Alison Sweeney) has been hitting the sheets with her ex-husband, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

Feurerriegel is stepping into the coveted role of EJ made soap-famous by James Scott, who left the series back in 2014 and never returned.

Now the question is can Sweeney and Feurerriegel strike soap gold with their re-imagined duo known as “EJami”?

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Alison Sweeney opened up about the casting, working with Dan, and the future of EJami sharing: “To be honest, I was nervous when I heard they were recasting EJ. That’s a big role to fill, I mean, James Scott was definitely a fan favorite and EJ is such a memorable role in the story and certainly in Sami’s life.”

Sweeney said of sharing scenes with Feurerriegel, “Dan has been fantastic. I’ve really enjoyed working with him. He clearly understood the importance of the task ahead.”

As for what fans of EJami may be in for, Sweeney noted: ” I hope those ‘EJami’ fans see the couple they were so connected to, but of course, in a new, different way.”

DAYS Billy Flynn Opens Up To Maurice Benard About His Battle with Addiction on All-New ‘State of Mind’

In a terrific episode of Maurice Benard’s (Sonny Corinthos, General Hospital) State of Mind You Tube series, the actor welcomes another one of the best actors on daytime, Days of our Lives star Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera, Days of our Lives).

What made this so compelling was Billy Flynn’s ability to talk openly, frankly, and with great understanding about his battles with addiction which he notes have been alcohol, drugs, and the cycles he has found himself in within his life and how he was able to break free of them, and the work he continues to do to keep him from falling back into them.

Flynn shares how much of his adult life was greatly impacted by his childhood, and explained to Benard, how he acted out when he was younger. He also shares how his addiction caused issues for awhile with his job at Days of our Lives.

This episode is a powerful one to watch for anyone struggling with issues of addiction, dependency, suicide, having problems at work, and trying to not self-destruct, which so many of us do, once we seemingly get what we what or while we are trying to obtain it.

Bravo to Billy and Maurice for bringing this forward and to the audience.
