Say What? Dr. Liesl Obrecht Named Chief Of Staff At General Hospital!

How on earth will the GH writing team explain how the treacherous Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), a renowed criminal, who in fact kept Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) captive for two years and tortured the poor woman has been named the Chief of Staff at General Hospital?
On yesterday’s episode, as Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin, Silas (Michael Easton), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Monica (Leslie Charleson) all were present to hear the hospital board’s decision, one by one each was told they were not given the post.
Since everyone was told they did not get the job, Britt was the last one who hadn’t been told she did not get it, either. So, as she started to get excited that the board chose her in walked her mother, Liesl Obrecht, who announced to the doctors and her daughter, that she was the new Chief of Staff!
OK, so what is going on here? Is this Liesl a doppelganger? Did Liesl threaten the hospital with some kind of lawsuit or give them a big wad of cash to get the job? Or, will we find out in upcoming episodes that she really isn’t the Chief of Staff? Or, if she is the Chief of Staff it would certainly up open lots of drama for the resident doctors!

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Shares He Was ‘Happy to Hear’ of The Triangle Storyline Developing Between Dante/Elizabeth/Ric
General Hospital’s Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) opened up about the burgeoning love triangle forming between his Port Charles alter-go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) after recently aired scenes, plus his hopes for the future of a Dante and Liz pairing, during his appearance on the Sunday, April 23 edition of the That’s Awesome podcast with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).
On last week’s episodes of GH, Ric has made the decision that he wanted to propose to his ex-wife, only when he showed up at Elizabeth’s front door, he misread the scenario he walked in with Liz tending to Dante’s injured leg from the softball game. From there, the legal eagle’s jealous streak is reemerging which may cause him to act out and do something unforgivable, or will he take the high road? Stay tuned.
Speaking with Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson about where Elizabeth stands in the annals of the long-running soap, Zamprogna said, “She’s up there with Steve and Maurice (Maurice Benard) as one of the most legacy-filled people on the show.”

HOW DANTE AND ELIZABETH CAME ABOUT
Dominic jokes it’s a far cry for where Dante and Elizabeth previously, recalling, “We had some scenes together years ago and we were both laughing. Becky’s like, ‘Well, I guess we’re not going be paired up anytime soon.’ I remember we laughed immediately after they yelled ‘cut,”‘and said to each other, ‘Well, so much for that!'”
Fast-forward to early 2025 and as Zamprogna remembered it, “Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) came up to me at the General Hospital Christmas party, and I think it was a year and a half ago and she said, ‘We’re going to have you in scenes with Elizabeth,’ My internal monologue is going, ‘I’m not with Lulu (Alexa Havins) anymore and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) gone, so maybe they want to see if this works.’ I didn’t want to get scenes with Becky and try to find the chemistry. I just wanted to play whatever honestly was written and came across for both of us and hope it was what people liked, and I don’t know if it is … or not.”
Knowing how beloved Elizabeth is to the GH faithfuls, Zamprogna added, “She got a big fan base with Ric … and a big fan base with with Jason … and you know, you’re going to piss somebody off. But, didn’t Ric drug Elizabeth and put Carly in a panic room?”

DANTE AND ELIZABETH PAIRING COULD STIR UP STORY FOR OTHERS IN PORT CHARLES
In closing, Dominic felt that the wide-reaching tentacles of a Dante and Elizabeth relationship is something he is 100% down for. “The triangle thing; I was happy to hear it was with Ric and her, because I felt it’s important to have her the top of it as opposed to Dante, Lulu and Elizabeth.”
Zamprogna added, “When you get into relationships on a soap, things seem to fizzle out a little bit, The buildup is what’s the fun part, and the getting to know each other, and the people who are affected by this coming together. When with this case it’s going to affect: Ric, Sonny, Lulu. There’s so much more story here. To me, it’s going to be a fun story to play.”

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)
At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)
Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didn’t burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) I’m willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good. I was working with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”

beyond ridiculous make the soap a little more convincing please. Between heather and lisa my family is about to stop watching. people complained about mob wars how about these unrealistic plots. the kids are more fun to watch than that ignorance.
I think she was willing to stay but she was not asked. We watched Robin grow from an adorable little girl into an independent, intelligent young lady. We watched her grieve her parents’ death, grief her fist love’s death, deal with her HIV status and fight to get back her family. Now Ron and Frank are ready to tear her down in order to prop up their own Disney monster– The Super Sparkle Pony from Hell. I quit watching GH after watching Robin’s very disappointing return with nary a look back. It’s not only not entertaining to me, it’s painful to watch and after awhile of banging my head against the wall, at some point I just have to just stop.
I know how you feel. I’m not ready to give it up, but I don’t know how many more legacy characters must be sacrificed at the alter of “Cartini”
Since just finding out that Robin’s return was only for a limited time, I am not surprise Ron and Frank did not give her a good return storyline. I’ve concluded her sole purpose back was to prop other storylines and bring back viewers like myself. No wonder KMc did not disclose her contract terms when she was interviewed by various media outlets upon her return.
Your sparkle pony comment gave me a good chuckle. The character of Sabrina is one dimensional and dead weight. Scenes with her are not engaging because she has no chemistry with anyone on the show.
errrrr…wrong Harry. Where have you been for the last few years. Kimberly has said on her own personal Twitter account, as well as in interviews (including one here too I believe) that she wanted to leave to pursue directing. The powers that be chose NOT to kill her off and leave the door open for her to return…she’s decided to leave again…in two more weeks…but according to her she’ll be back. It’s going to be on and off with her it seems. Nothing to do with Ron/Frank or boistering any other actors/story lines.
I am still watching GH..I find GH entertaining and it keeps my attention every day…I will always support this soap..Can’t wait to see it tomorrow..
Rebecca: Kimberly was open to negotiate but Frank, as he did with Tristan Rogers, failed to negotiate. You have to learn to read between the lines.
We know we lost Scorpio because Frank dropped the ball and he did so again here. And now they’re going to write an F U Robin storyline to prop up that insipid Disney princess while making Robin suddenly look bad.

So well stated. I was excited as the vets came back! But every time from JW to KM these talented actors were made into carnival side shows. I think Dr.O character was well played by the actress but I’m sorry the way to keep this character on if tptb wanted to was not such a far fetched plot. There have just been too many of these scenarios yes it’s a soap but I miss the romance and the integral relationships being played out.

Kimberly is going next door to shadow the directors of Grey’s then producing movie in May. Its her choice. She wants to pursue a career in directing. Not Ron and Frank’s fought. They are the one who don’t want to kill her off hoping for her to return. I’m loving the shock and awe of GH. Never a dull moment.
Agreed. The GH target audience clearly is viewers with single-digit IQs. Can’t remember when a show has ever so badly insulted my intelligence and sunk so low so quickly. Goodbye to the stinking, putrid corpse of GH.
I don’t think there are any lines to read between Harry. If you read Kimberly’s interview with Michael, or any of her tweets…she is the one that wanted out from the beginning….and agreed to come back as it fits her schedule.

Smart? No smart person would ever buy this – much less enjoy being treated like a moron as the writers have done to every viewer. I expect even my soaps to make an attempt not to offend and insult me. GH has obviously shifted its target audience and left out me and every other viewer with at least the IQ of a sea sponge. Enjoy!

Monica gets axed because her son committed crimes, but yet Liesl gets the job when she herself has committed crimes. So either she has been found not guilty which is impossible since Robin is clearly proof, insane which certainly doesn’t make her a good chief of staff or the writers have just gone nuts. I’m waiting to see their explanation, but so far, I’m not liking it.

I know and he writes as if this was an adaptation of a comic book. This isn’t even a movie adaptation of Batman, it’s more like the TV adaptation–ridiculous and campy. I fully expect Sonny and Julian to start dancing the Bat dance together.

Me thinks she must be linked with Victor Cassadine, which makes it all the better!!! Best line of yesterday was when she surreptitiously slithered up on “Febrina” and make a thinly veiled threat about making people “disappear!” Yes, yes, yes!!!!! If anyone can (permanently) downsize that overcrowded nurses station, it is the “Queen Bee of Evil” herself!!!! Please dear mutter, do it, just do it NOW!!!!!
Not liking this turn of events. I am all for the fun and insanity of daytime drama but I like some realism, too,. Enjoyed the festive 50th but hoped for some more human and reality-based stories as the glitter settled. This actress and character have been interesting but really, now she is chief of staff?

When you have an actor who is as talented as this, you find a way to make it work and be believable. Same with Robin Mattison, Heather needs to be on the show so you ask fans to go with the flow. I would much rather have these two women on than watching stiffs like Molly, Rafe, TJ, Kiki, and BOREgan!
When you have an actor as talented as these you drive them into the ground with such absurd twists that people are perplexed and insulted for being treated like brainless morons? There you go, every actor’s dream I’m sure.
Funny you should say that, Elizabeth. My husband does not understand why I love soaps so much. I tell him I don’t get what the fuss with football is all about. He laughs, but once in a while he sits with me and watches my soaps with me. He finds it humorous and unrealistic how the men are sometimes portrayed as really stupid….that they can’t see the forest for the trees. These are some great actors, but TPTB hardly ever gives them the opportunity to show their true talent; to show their true colours and shine. Pathetic, isn’t it ?

Ron lives in a comic book world which is not applicable to the soap opera genre. I like Dr, O in small does, but too much of her is not a good thing. She reminds me of a character Mel Brooks dreamed up and I fully expect to hear horses neighing hysterically when her name is mentioned. What’s next? Heather will be elected the mayor of Port Charles? Oh, and let Franco take Anna’s place as police commissioner. Oh, and Ron can bring Faison back from the dead and have him elected as the state governor and then he can order the Port Charles bridge to be closed down. Wait, something tells me that has been done.

I was feeling bad about taking GH off my DVR schedule and also after being a fan for 50 years but now I am happy not to be watching as this debacle continues. I guess ABC/Disney really wants to be out of the soap business altogether. They have done everything possible to ruin GH, errode the fan base and make a mockery of GH. GH will soon join the pile along with All My Children, One Life to Live and Soapnet.
How is ABC Disney doing that when GH has been seeing its biggest ratings in over 7 years. THey are behind the show and some people will just never be happy. Love this move keeps the talented actress that plays Dr Obrecht around. Cant wait to see how this plays out
Wrong. I was happy when Garin Wolf was at the helm. I was happy for at least half of Guza’s tenure. I have given GH the benefit of the doubt all year. Finally lost it at the Heather/Cranco crap. And am grateful that I’m not wasting my early afternoon hour on the show now that I have read about the Chief of staff dreck. I’ll keep a distant tab on the show to see what transpires with Victor Cassadine but if it starts off in this stupid direction I won’t look back.

Although I would’ve liked it to be Monica or Robin, Obrecht as COS should be tons of fun! I love this actress.

I thought “WTH” is happening now? The evil Dr. O can’t be the new Chief of Staff. What does she have on someone on the Board??? Or is it a mean joke RC is playing on us GH fans. How could Anna, Commissioner, let this happen? Has Anna or someone at FBI Headquarters struck a deal with Dr. O, and if so, what are the terms of such deal. This is really a freakin’ GH nightmare……from which I hope to awaken soon!!!!!!!
I was wondering what happened to Obrecht. I absolutely love the actress and the character! I am looking forward to more air-time for Obrecht!

Love GH, but with that said its a double edge sword, if there’s one thing I hate is when the show turns cartoonish with plots like this one or the other like half the cast has come back from the dead ect , sooner or later these type of plots wear out and we can’t stay in the honeymoon phase forever with RC & FV. If they ever expect to win an Emmy for GH UNDER their regime they gotta drop the cheap cartoonish plots…

Now I know the writers have lost their grip and mind.. I did NOT like Patrick chose Robin, and that Sabrina lied about her pregnancy…now this? I will not be watching GH. This is how soaps go off the air………..poor writing!
I think it’s great and it will create drama for everyone involved. The writers will explain it to us in the next couple episodes.
Sadly, GH is jumping the shark again – lst w/ RH coming back as Franco, making him, and now Carly, fastforward material… And now this, making the hospital fastforward material. What a shame… I am please Lucas is back and do like the Jeromes, tho.
You are in the miniority as the episodes with Franco and Carly lately have been some of the highest rated ones. So the numbers speak for themselves
What are you talking about? The day of the polar vortex? Don’t you find it peculiar that NO data for the remainder of that week has been made public? When it usually is for every day of every week? I bet the numbers dropped hugely when the weather normalized and the show became all about Cranco and Heather.

I finally have concluded that FV and RC were hired to destroy any and every longtime GH fan’s love for the show so that when the end was announced no one would care anymore. That is the only explanation for this abomination. When nothing matters but the shtick then it isn’t worth the time of day. Glad I found Downton Abbey for my soap fix. Maybe I’ll follow Tristan Rogers to Y&R.
And yeah, I know, the only thing that TPTB have to say is goodbye and good riddance.

I left Y&R to come to GH. Believe me as a viewer from almost the start of Y&R it has gotten really bad. They have lost some of their best actors and the writing is horrible. When you find yourself FF because the stories don’t hold your interest it was time to leave. Maybe all the soaps have suffered the same fate. Right now the only one I can say I really enjoy is DOOL. I have only watched GH about a year, but for me I like it better then Y&R. jmho

I am loyal to the show, will always go on the ride with my GH family. Crazy, drawn out, nutty, funny, heart wrenching, punch you in the gut, smack you over the head story lines…for it all, I will be there.
Watching todays (Tues) now and curious what info she shared w the WSB that they dropped her charges. This story line should bring the HOSPITAL back front and center to the show!

Actually, no…she is a FICTIONAL character, and a deplorably defined and acted one at that! In other words, she doesn’t really exist! Hence, I am not the one in the need of psychoanalysis…I totally recognize the difference between fantasy and reality, no matter how I choose to label “her!!!!!”
There has to be some more to the story because it makes no sense. They fired Monica because of her association with AJ who was up on murder charges, but they would hired an international criminal who had her medical license revoked years ago for performing unethical experiments? Don’t get me wrong, I love Dr. O and would love to see her stay on the show in some capacity, but I can’t wait to watch later today and see how they explain this one.
Maybe they are trying to redeem her? It looks like she has acquired many fans and TPTB realize that she is an asset to the soap. One never knows…..I do hope Dr. O will stay. We may hope for a positive transformation on her part, but then she would not be the same crazed Dr. O I so enjoy watching.

I watched AMC for years, but then after months of ridiculous stories I just quit. How I feel about GH is like that. Waste of time, not interesting, stupid, feeling like the writers are flipping off the characters and actors I love. I might follow Tristan to Y&R.
Margie, the kids reminded me of when Hanna/Barbera thought it was a good idea to give Pebbles and Bam Bam their own show. I never understood a word those two said to each other. How many times can Bam Bam say, Bam! Bam”?

Wasting Scorpio’s waning days on the GH canvas as a babysitter pondering his pint-sized granddaughter’s “love life” was beyond ludicrous! Despite a few good soapy developments, between the ridiculous “playdate” scenes and Sappy the Unwed Babymama squeaking out her lines with the omnipresent appendage otherwise known as Nurse DuBois, today was simply another installment of “Absurdity in the Afternoon.”.
Did I miss something? the last I saw of her was her sitting in a jail cell singing o christmas tree (which was odd ) so how can they hire a known kidnapper (of own of their own no less) and someone who worked with faiso and Jerry Jacks, who caused all the deaths in town??? she must be blackmailing the board!
but how did she get out of jail time?
I believe it was through the machinations of one Victor Cassadine. He wants something from her…something not so noble. Keep watching Christy, you will see this storyline unfold clearly. I do not want to give it away, but, by the same token , I don’t know if I like the direction it is taking. I am, however, glad Dr. O is in the picture. She’s a great actress.
Love the actress, love the character…in small doses. Watchful waiting on this turn of events before I chime in.
My biggest concern is that I wanted Monica Q firmly in the CoS position. Sorry, but I can’t stand that the Q’s are on the backburner again. Don’t mind new characters. Many have been great additions (including Dr. O). But there needs to be a better balance in the writing of vets v. newbies. JMO.
Overall, GH is pretty enjoyable to me for the most part.

I admit I was shocked when I watched and have no idea how they will explain this, but I do like the actress Kathleen Gati.
I find it interesting how people who have watched GH a long time are leaving. I have only watched about a year, but had to get away from the Y&R because it had gotten so bad. There were only a few actors left that kept me watching, but even for them the writing was horrid. It became a case of FF through the episodes. Since I had watched from almost the start I stuck with it hoping it would get better, but it never did. The s/l’s were so boring and it was not the soap it once was. Now the actors that I stayed for are gone as well. It seems like a lot of Y&R fans are coming to GH while a lot of GH fans are going to Y&R. For me DOOL is the best soap right now. That may change as well. Seems like soaps are not what they once were. jmho
I think Dr O is working with someone that has a lot of juice. I think that Dr O and the person that she is working for knows something and they are going after Anna and Robert. Remember they killed Cesar faison on the cassadine. island. Rumor has it one of the Cassdine’s is coming back. Also think about Jerry Jax. He also needs a cure now that Luke took it. Maybe that is the reason heather webber took luke. Remember she had two guys with her. Maybe they work for Jerry Jax.
Hate Dr. O as new chief of staff. I too will be leaving…only so many times criminals can get a pass….do not dislike the actress and wish her well…just not on GH.
Um, what about Sonny? He’s a criminal and the focus of the show for over a decade. A very long and boring decade…
I have to agree with you about Sonny and there have been times that the ‘Sonny Show’ has been annoying…I just really dislike Dr. O.
To all the people who say this is the last straw– if one plot point has made you decide to no longer watch, it’s your loss. I don’t think GH is perfect, no show is. But I enjoy most of it and will keep watching to find out how Dr. O got the job. Turning your GH fan card in before the story even plays out is just plain silly.

You missed the point. The show has been on a downward spiral for months. Ron Carlavati promised that Robert would be given a great story. He wasn’t. Robin – ditto. Characters and stories are presented and then backburnered. We get Sabrina 5 days a week. It’s just no longer fun or interesting.
I understood your point perfectly. You not liking the plots isn’t the same as the show being on a downward spiral, in fact the ratings have been going up. I and a couple million other people think the show is fun and interesting.

The deletion of GH from my DVR after years of faithful watching has been a long time coming. Heather returning again and again, Dr O has chief of staff, Faison, stupid storylines for the veteran characters, Jason leaving…. We could write a book about the downward spiral. Sadly, GH is no longer on my “must watch” list.
It’s a krazy twist, but I’m lovin’ it. Dr. O is a hoot! Also, good to see Monica Q back on the show.
