WOO-HOO! That is how you do it! Beyond the Gates continues on a consistent basis to turn out great American soap opera, and keeps you pulled in. Let’s go!!!!!

Go Victoria and Kyle. Looks like their affair is paying dividends for ynr.

Gangster Hell is in trouble, especially when being slaughtered by Beneath the Gutter!

Disney will soon decide to move GH to streaming only or cancel it altogether. I’m excited we might see the newest New Mickey Mouse Club!

I guess that 5 month tape to air schedule is working for BTG in addition to GH being so bad.

Gangster Hell??

Well it’s true that gangsters usually do end up down here. But since you’re apparently a Days fan, let me ask you this… does anybody really think that Stefano DiMera – who has been down here in Hell for over a decade now – really needed any more “lost children”?

I think Days is leading viewers to believe Dom is Marlena and Stefano’s son when in fact he is the son of Marlena and John. He’s the 1986 Jarlena baby.

Vick and Kyle FTW!! Their Hot affair is keeping me glued to my screen.

Enjoying Amelia Heinle and Michael Mealor together on Young and Restless. I can’t wait to see where it goes next!! That ice scene, wowza!!!

Congrats to Beyond the Gates! Keep up the good work!

I’m loving BTG. Keep up the good work

Tired of the Hailey mess with Bill. He needs to go into hiding and get the poison out of his system as d have her followed

No no no peoples!!! General Hospital stays number 1 forever!!!

HA HA!!! Seriously? Who has been pouring you your delulu kool-aid?

I know I have given up on GH because the stories so seldomly lead to any kind of emotional satisfaction for the viewer. Even in the Cullem-Sidwell story, which was overall enjoyable, we never got to see the two villains turn on each other when Sidwell realized Cullem killed Marco. Lucas never got to face Cullem. Cassius never had to face Lulu for his deception. Kristina nearly killed Molly’s father, then held him hostage with their mother as an accomplice. Zero payoff. The list goes on and on. Drew is not the type of villain that is sustainable long-term and his antics have grown tiresome. Again, there’s never any viewer payoff for the twists and turns (With the exception of Nina pushing him off the dock, I’ll give them credit for that funny scene with the actors’ facial expressions).

I fear with what seems to be budget cuts, there will be even more gaping holes in stories. Where was Olivia during the Brook Lynn-driver reveal? She can’t replace Monica, of course, but as part of the family, she should step into the Monica role of calling out Tracy. Can you imagine what Olivia would have said to Tracy, learning she hushed up Brook Lynn’s involvement? Well, we have to imagine it because they aren’t paying to show Olivia onscreen.

The new characters so far are a bust. Serena and Dr. Roberts are bland and have made minimal impact. Why did we get a new WSB guy instead of bringing back Vaughn, who has a Frisco-Jones devilish vibe and has complicated history with Josslyn to play with? Simon the music producer is just a prop in this run-of-the-mill stalker storyline. And Hudson? We met him as a vicious lowlife who gave Ethan a major beatdown. Are we supposed to like him now? Care about him for any reason?

The show needs a lot of work, and needs to refocus on the heart of soap storytelling: Creating emotional moments and relationships that mean something to the viewers.

I love when Joshua Morrow and Michelle Stafford our on screen together. They have the best chemistry.

I’m so happy for BTG!!! That show is on FIYAH!! Especially after the scenes with Bill and Haley in the hospital. Damn, that woman is COLD!!

‘Beyond the Gates’ Fall Preview: Michele Val Jean Reveals Twists and Turns in Fairmont Crest, Teases New Faces

Beyond the Gates Preview

Beyond the Gates continues to be the buzzy and noteworthy soap opera as it heads deeper into the fall. With 15 Daytime Emmy nominations (a record for a first-time nominated show), the action on-screen has been just as exciting as of late.

Now, series creator, head writer, and executive producer, Michele Van Jean teases what viewers of the CBS soap opera can look forward to in the months ahead and into 2027 with TV Insider.  Val Jean clarified that the show is already written into April of next year with new faces joining the cast down the line.

Michele shared, “As we go down the journey with The Articulettes, that path is going to lead back to (their manager) Dante Green. So, we’re going to be seeing him eventually. It’s not imminent because we write really far in advance, but you’ll be meeting Dante Green. And then we have a female robbery/homicide cop that’s going to come onto the canvas eventually.”

DANGEROUS, DUPLICITOUS AND DEADLY

While that’s a bit down the line, here’s a few tidbits for a few of the core characters happening soon; starting with the matriarch and the patriarch of the Dupree family, Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis). ”

“They’re going to steer their family and community through some troubling times,” explains Michele. Adding, “Anita will get to make exciting moves in her music career as we started to see with The Articulettes, but she’s going to meet with some unexpected obstacles along the way that will test how much she really wants this. Vernon will not be afraid to take serious measures to protect his family and bring down anyone who threatens them.”

Speaking of “serious measures to bring down anyone who threatens the Dupree family,” let’s find out what’s in the future for Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings): “This fall, she will be brilliant, beautiful, and cold as ever. She’s definitely not done scheming, and she’s not done with Bill, I’ll tell you that,” assets Val Jean. “She’s good at making bad situations work in her best interest, and we’ll get to see her do plenty of it.”

Dani and Andre

HOW TO SURVIVE A MARRIAGE

As for Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Andre Richardson’s (Sean Freeman) marriage, trouble ahead!  Michele explains “She’s (Dani) going to find her marriage and herself in danger and be forced to make some severe decisions. And Andre’s secrets will catch up to him in the worst way possible as Heather closes in to make good on her threats.”

Meanwhile, Dani’s sister Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) makes inroads with her relationship with Dr. Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan). However, Val Jean warns by year’s end,”Her (Nicole) world will flip completely upside down in a way no one sees coming, including her.”

Finally, the warring brother sister duo of Joey (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather Armstrong  (Ashley Jones) will get even more intense and fraught. According to Michele, “Joey will wrestle with the reality that his sister is not who she used to be. And as Heather sinks her teeth further into the community, she’ll go to new despicable lengths for chaos and control, but she may not get the last laugh. You’ll have to watch it.”

So, what are you looking forward to the most this fall on Beyond the Gates? What is your favorite storyline right now? When the soap opera casts the character of Dante Green down the line, and a new female cop, who do you think would be a great fit for the roles?
