Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans Interview – Day of DAYS 2015

Stephen Nichols (Steve “Patch” Johnson) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady) sat down with Michael Fairman at Day of DAYS 2015 in celebration of the NBC daytime dramas 50th anniversary. Mary Beth and Stephen talk about working with Peter Reckell (Bo) again, and what it was like for Mary Beth to play the scenes where she tells Bo he is dying. Plus, the duo preview how, and if, Patch and Kayla will reunite although they have quite the road ahead of them. Stephen relates what it has been like this time coming back to DAYS and working with the new writers, producers etc, and Mary Beth chimes in on the exciting state of DAYS, as well.

Thank you for all of the great interviews Michael but especially for this one with Mary Beth and Stephen Nichols. They are my favorites of all time. Thank you too for being so nice when I briefly met you at the end of the Day of Days as you were leaving the restaurant. Such a fun day and I just wanted to thank in person for all that you do.

A Martinez Joins the Cast of New Film ‘Ambulance’

Daytime Emmy winner and former star of Santa Barbara, A Martinez (Ex-Cruz) has joined the cast of the upcoming Michael Bay directed action-thriller, Ambulance.

The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza Gonzalez and is based off the original Danish Film Ambulancen

According to Deadline, while the plot is being kept under wraps, the pic is expected to be in the spirit of such 1990s action pics Speed and Bad Boys.”

As well as his reprising his role of Eduardo on Days of our Lives recently, Martinez also appeared in Netflix’s Longmire, as well as his recurring roles on the digital drama series,The Bay.

Victoria Konefal Returns to Days of our Lives

Cin fans will be happy to know the other half of the DAYS super couple will be back on-screen later this month as Ben (Rob Scott Weston) and Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) love story is set to continue.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Look for Konefal to first appear back on-screen during the January 28th episode of the NBC daytime drama series.

When the missing in action Ciara returns she will bring with her a new character named Rhodes played by Jason Downs.

No word on how long Konefal’s stay will be this time, since she has been off-contract with the show since last year.

However, reportedly this this will be Ciara in the flesh, not a conjured up or “Vision” of her that comes to Ben in his time of need.

DAYS Mike Manning On Role in Film ‘Son of the South’: “I Hope it Strengthens the Dialogue Our Country is Currently Having About the Fight for Equality on All Fronts”

Days of our Lives Mike Manning (Charlie) has been one busy actor; not only appearing on the NBC daytime drama series and in the digital drama series, The Bay, but also in the new film Son of the South.

The film will be released on February 5th and was executive produced by Oscar-winning director, Spike Lee.  In story, Son of the South is about the grandson of a Klansman who comes of age in the deep south and eventually joins the Civil Rights Movement. The film is based on Bob Zellner’s autobiography “The Wrong Side of Murder Creek.”

Manning plays the role of Townsend Ellis, and the actor took to his Twitter account on Monday, during Martin Luther King Day, to let his fans know to be on the lookout for the film and why it is such an important piece for our time.   

Mike expressed: ” I think #MLKDay  is a good day to tell you “Son of The South” will be out Feb. 5th. I hope it strengthens the dialogue our country is currently having about the fight for equality on all fronts. Exec produced by Oscar-winner Spike Lee. Proud of this one.@son_movie”
