Thank you for all of the great interviews Michael but especially for this one with Mary Beth and Stephen Nichols. They are my favorites of all time. Thank you too for being so nice when I briefly met you at the end of the Day of Days as you were leaving the restaurant. Such a fun day and I just wanted to thank in person for all that you do.

Sure they’re a few years older, but aren’t we all? They are still so beautiful and they are even better at their craft.

Days of our Lives Celebrates 54th Anniversary (Photos)

Last Friday, Days of our Lives celebrated yet another amazing milestone in their storied soap history. The long-running NBC daytime drama series turned 54- years young.

To ring in the anniversary, the cast, crew and behind the scenes creatives including head writer, Ron Carlivati and NBC executive, Bruce Evans were on-hand.

DAYS executive producer Ken Corday made a speech filled with history and ‘thank you’s’, and Bruce Evans reminded everyone of how important the characters and the show is, and how it has touched so many lives from generation to generation.

From speeches, to a cake-cutting ceremony, posing for pics, to a tasty green room filled with fun food, the cast patted each other on the back for a job well-done as the show is now breaking new ground with the time-jump that kicked off Friday and plays out more this week and beyond.

Check out some of the celebration in our photo gallery below.

Then, share your congrats to DAYS and what it has meant to you on their 54th anniversary via the comment section,

Days of our Lives Blockbuster Flash-Forward Promo: Where Are Your Favorites One-Year Later?

Every year at the annual NBC Day of Days event at Universal City, California’s CityWalk, fans in attendance are treated to the premiere of the extended and exciting promo of what’s to come in story in the weeks ahead.

But this year, the promo was even more exciting because it revealed pieces and teases of what’s happened in Salem and to your favorite characters within the one-year time jump that began on last Friday’s episode when Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) woke up out of her coma and learned from Jack (Matt Ashford) that she had been asleep for a year! And … thus begins a daytime first for a drama series.

In the DAYS November sweeps promo, viewers see that Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) have their baby and so does apparently, Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey).  Then. Jack says to Abigail (Kate Mansi) that she is her number one reporter, while Victor (John Aniston) tells Ciara (Victoria Konefal) she is the future of the family.  Elsewhere, it looks like Kate (Lauren Koslow) is waiting tables?

Meanwhile, Sonny (Freddie Smith) says “I miss him, I miss him a lot.” Who is he referring to? Clyde (James Read) is back and looks to be in an adjoining cell with his son, Ben Weston (Rob Scott Wilson)!  Also in prison are the ladies, Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) and none other than Eve (Kassie DePaiva)

Then, Gabi (Camila Banus) and Eli (Lamon Archey) are making out and apparently things have heated up between them, once again, and Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) is still looming.  Will she come between John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall), and will Jennifer remember that Gina pushed her of the balcony a year ago?

Watch the promo for the time-jump below.  Then, let us know what story you are looking forward to most, and finding out how it plays out via the comment section below.

Networks To Preempt Daytime Programming For Donald Trump Impeachment Hearing Coverage

Just as your favorite soaps are kicking into high gear for November sweeps next week, comes the news that due to the House public impeachment hearings on President Donald Trump, daytime programming will endure several pre-mptions starting with the first two on Wednesday November 13th and Friday, November 15th.

CBS was the first network to announce their plans for their extensive coverage, and according to the Washington Post all other networks have followed suit.  By this move by the networks it gives the hearing some extra weight and exposure to the American voters and viewing audience.

So far, leading network coverage for CBS will be reportedly anchored by Norah O’Donnell and for ABC George Stephanopoulos.

On Wednesday, the hearings begin at 10am EST, the second is scheduled for Friday beginning at 11am EST.

William Taylor, the U.S. diplomat in the Ukraine, is scheduled to testify Wednesday and on Friday Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, is scheduled to testify.

The networks are expecting big numbers for covering the hearings, as they have in the past for impeachment proceedings and hearings.

No word yet how the soaps plan for you to see the episodes that don’t air at their regularly scheduled times, or if it shifts your soap viewing schedule by several days.
