Steve Burton Chats With Access Hollywood On Leaving GH & New Beginnings on Y&R! – Watch the Segments!

Courtesy/AccessHollywood.com
There is a brand new video interview with Steve Burton from Access Hollywood that has been posted in three parts featuring the Daytime Emmy winner at his new digs at The Young and the Restless!
Laura Saltzman of AccessHollywood.com chatted with Steve about his decision to join Y&R, when he signed his contract, his flexible work schedule that enables him to go back to his home and family in Nashville, his character of Dylan McAvoy, and much more! Saltzman also revealed she recently talked to Kelly Monaco (Sam, GH) who told her that she knew in the back of her mind that Burton would be back working again soon (after he decided to take a break from daytime) due to knowing his personality type!
During the segment, Burton admitted he was surprised by the reaction that some of the fans had on his taking on a new role on Y&R. Steve revealed that the fans could not get the whole story till he good talk about it. The actor stated, “The story broke on December 26th and we did not make a deal till January 3rd. So there was that time where I am very active in social media, that I couldn’t talk. My hands were tied. But I think they understood that things just didn’t work out with General Hospital’s schedule with what CBS could do, and so there are no hard feelings.”
Watch all three segments with Burton below, including one with new co-star Joshua Morrow (Nick) in which the duo admits that the cuts and bruises on Steve’s face were part of the plot (in case you have not seen the episodes). What do you think of Steve’s Y&R debut? His comments in the interview? Let us know!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.

I wish Steve well in his new role on Y&R. I can’t fault anyone for doing what they feel is right for them and their family. I believe we will see him again in Port Charles, when the time is right, for both him and GH.
Thank you Michael for these interviews. Fabulous stuff!
Love Steve!!! Miss him as Jason!!! Loving him in his new role as Dylan or Mac! Still hoping someday he might be back at GH as Jason Q.!
Thanks for the videos Michael! Love Joshua and Steve together… loks like they are having fun! Will continue to watch my fave GH and Y&R.
Honestly, I just don’t care anymore.
I agree, growing weary of topic myself. I do get that both CBS and Sony must have a lot invested in him, so they want to get all the media press so they can to hype his new role, but after while it is a turn off. The spin machine should stop and now let Steve and his role speak for themselves as to whether this character is all and be all the media hounds are trying to make him into.
Loving Dylan on Y&R. Great to see Steve smiling again.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to decieve. Sir Walter Scot!
None of the videos work.
why does everything that comes out of his mouth now seems like a lie? oh well, GH doesn’t need him, its exciting every single day, and everone is on fire. Plus Laura is coming back, so is Frisco and Scotty, A J is leading the way with the revival of the Quatermaines, so hasta la vista Jason/Steven, enjoy your boring run on Y&R.
Steve is living his life good for him, even though some people believe they should have been included in how he decided to live it LOL ……… He seems content and happy and 21 yrs is too long on the same soap, not growing not going anywhere living in the same rut.for 21 years yuck, he is too young for that..
glad he grabbed the new challenges!!
looking forward to the new Steve as Dylan .. 🙂
Steves moved on, GH has moved on(and doing very well without the Jason character who can always return to GH in the future like Genie and Tristian have done and they were on YAR too,) so viewers should move on too. Steves a grown man and its his decision to do whatever he thinks is right for his family and career whether you believe his decision or not. There were fans who stopped watching GH for whatever reason they had but its their choice to do so just like the actors choice is to leave.
He’s only been on Y&R for less than a week, and already Dylan is a heap tons better than Jason ever was or ever could have been. He’s a brilliant addition to the cast, and hope he sticks around for a long while!
A … not , the s/l, is a mimic of GH years before , the actress that plays Avery, boring , just like Jason and Elizabeth and as far as the acting, google all the roles he supposedly has played, all similar. That being said, is not acting!!!
Steve Burton should stay behind the scenes of the acting world, or voiceover characters until he learns the craft of a true actor.!!
Glad steve is happy and back on daytime.but miss him like crazy as jason on gh and i hope in the future he returns.
It’s really nobody’s business how he decides to live his life and raise his family so people should stop hating.
DOESN’T MATTER WHAT SOAP STEVE IS ON, AT LEAST HE IS BACK., AND I AM A DEVOTED Y & R FAN FROM ITS INCEPTION. TY TO THE BELLS.
I wish Steve Burton would come back to GH… No one else can play Jason as well as he could. I was a little aggravated when I heard that he went to another soap.. My advise to the network of GH is to get him back… no matter what it takes.. PLEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Miss Jason!!!
good Luck to Steve especially with jill at the Helm! Your going to need it buddy!!
