As On-Air On-Soaps previewed in Steve Burton’s final interview for his run as Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless, the actor and entrepeneur was getting ready to launch his health and fitnness nutrition supplement line. Well on Saturday, the Daytime Emmy winning star officially launched his products and supplement company, via a new website, Burton Nutrition.com

On Friday, Steve sent out a viral video to his email distribution list previewing his new health and fitness business. And, not only does Burton know a thing or two, or three, about working out, dieting, and how to stay fit and eat right, Steve’s wife Sheree Gustin and brother-in-law, Jon Gustin are also major into the field.

The first product Burton Nutrition is offering is “The Get Fit Kit”: which is said to be the perfect shake for a one meal replacement a day, and weight loss, but it may also be used as a snack, or a post-workout recovery drink.

Within the navigation of the nutrition website, coming soon will be a challenge, VIP, and social community sections.  So, if you are setting out to improve your health, lose weight, or workout , you don’t have to do it all alone.

Watch Steve’s video announcing Burton Nutrition after the jump and how it can help you attain your weight and fitness goal. Then let us know if you will be checking out his new site, and let Steve and his family help you get in the best shape of your life.

Nice article to get the word out about his new business.

Is he going to sell that juice again ?

No, that business was shut down due to false claims.

That was sarcasm.!

I know, Janet, I was going along with you!

Yeah, janet…I hope he markets something authentic. I do wish him the best, but liquid diets are kind of ‘iffy’….not healthy and not endorsed by ‘caring’ doctors.

Steve Burton, since around 2005, has looked so bloated, though. Very similar to somebody that abuses steroids.

I doubt people will take diet advice from him.

Why does this actor, who clearly does not need more money, keep coming up with these get rich quick schemes which always seem a bit shady in a pyramid scheme kind of way?
I checked out the ingredients on his Whey protein powder and they’re pretty standard. I have a jar of why protein in my pantry which sounds identical to the one he’s now pitching only the one I bought cost half as much.
Moreover, his approach in substituting a protein shake for a meal is hardly a ground breaking concept as this diet strategy has been around since the 80s.

Because hes a tv star He can get by with it He’ll draw millions in because ofvwho he is who hes been as Jason especially Women will go nuts snd buy it just because of that

I don’t know about that, Terri. I’m a woman, and not going nuts. I have never found him attractive…..ever!!
Most women like a toned male body….not necessarily bulging muscles. Personally, it’s a turn off….too beefy.
No doctor would ever advise someone to diet on these liquid mixtures. Not healthy!!

I know, Terri, and I find it depressing and disheartening.

Dont think you are going to buy Burton’s Brew, drink it and he is going to track you down and marry you!

Steve,
Best of Luck to you and your Beautiful family. I really, really miss you on the Y&R, but I am looking so forward to my journey with you and your guidance with youro nutrition products.

Thank you!

All the Best,
Catherine Rose

Hi Steve,

Good luck to you and you have a beautiful family 🙂
Barbara Wolfe

I’m wondering if your product can help me to lose 280 lbs it would save my life but everything like peanuts or gassy foods send my stomach into shock and causes the worse pains ever, also i have high blood pressure heart desease, herniated disk in my spine also arthritis and I have arthritis in both my knees and only can sleep if on a C pap machine my daughter is getting married September 23,2017 and wants me to walk down the isle as mother of th the bride and dance with her husband and i want to more than anything but i don’t know if this wouls bw posible so I’m willing to try this if can help me i don’t know if i can afford it but if it really helps shed the weight I’ll do all i can to be on this program because it will be a life plan for me i wanna be able to enjoy my 3 beautiful grandchildren go on a family trip like Disney world something i always wanted to do but first my daughters wedding i have 6 months i know that’s alot to expect but even some of the weight loss will be better than none so if you can help Steve save my life truly i would be grateful please contact me to get started thank you

Julia, my heart goes out to you. Please, I urge you to go talk to your doctor about this.
Steve Burton cannot help you. All he can help you do is help you part with your money.
You can do this, but I totally understand why you feel helpless.
Please consider Weight Watchers or any medically supervised diet. If you’re a member of Kaiser, they offer a medically supervised diet.
I just urge you to not fall victim to these typea of scams. They will only make your pocket book lighter, not your body.
YOU can do this!

Oh for gosh sakes if this is for real see a Internal Medicine doctor they specialize in this! The world has gone stark raving mad a soap actor giving diet advice!!!

Why shade Steve? He is a good guy. He is not a miracle worker! He wouldnt put his name on something to hurt someone or steal their money! Sometimes in life with good intentions people will give YOU the wrong information unintentionally!

I wish he would go back to GH he was born to play that part.

Miss you on the show, but wish you the best of luck. Would love to be added to your email addy and get with your VIP program.

I’m saddened by people that would go to such efforts to make rude remarks about Steve Burton on here. They must not have much else to do with their time. I love you and your efforts to better your life on and off screen, Steve. ‘Haters gonna hate.’ Right?

Oh brother.

It saddens me that people take advantage of fans that buy into this nonsense stick to acting and not medical advice next thing you know he will have a brain surgery video out!!! Enough!!

I agree with you. I like Steve. I am not in his fan club. I commend him for trying something different. These soaps, they are great but at ABC and NBC, they constantly play with the actors futures and us fans. Everyone needs a plan B. Go Steve!

Okay, Timmmy, granted. I am sure Steve has gone through the right channels to market his product. But, advocating it on these sites could be perilous. He has the advantage because of his celebrity status….no excuse.
Case in point…..The above lady, Julia Rich. We are not talking about a few pounds here. No liquid diet in the world can help someone lose that much weight without drastic consequences.
Kay is right. No one is in any position to give ‘lose weight fast’ advise. People will do drastic things when in drastic situations. This is flirting with danger.
This amount of weight loss needs to be monitored…step by step and by a medical expert in the field. Who can lose that much weight in a few months without irreparable damage? And, a cardiologist should always be consulted!!!!! Heart attacks have happened due to dieting and messing with the wrong ‘stuff’.
Steve has every right to advertize; just not here. Many people are ultra-vulnerable, not thinking about any health risks.
Just my opinion, my Timmmy. Love you. Bye.

Oh cry me a river! Positioned at the top of the pyramid, Burton made a killing off of the aquia berry juice business not to mention the fortune he made as one of the highest paid day time actors in recent history. Check out the price of this protein powder and compare it to similar powders which are available at GNC and note the mark up disparities. This angers me because there are folks out there who are desperate for help who, unlike Mr. Burton, are living pay check to pay check (see Julia Rich’s post above ). There are folks out there who trust Mr Burton because they know him as GH’s Jason and/or Y&R’s Dylan . And yes, he looks amazingly well, so therefore, they purchase latest product he is touting be it aquai berry juice, acting lessons or protein diet shakes.
I still like Burton as an actor, loved him as both Jason and Dylan. But I am tired of all these marketing schemes.

And don’t forget to go eat at his BBQ joint!

Rude remarks, Angela? It is a fact that liquid diets with ‘bad’ ingredients kill….especially our youth. I am sure Steve is an honest man. However, be that as it may, I just caution people to consult with a doctor before going on any diet or ingesting anything.
We gave general comments here; not attacking Burton personally. Let’s hope his brand is nutritious and en par with the FDA….this is his second time around!!
As I said, I wish him the best.

Celia I could not stay silent on this enough I am tired of actors I use that word loosely taking advantage of viewers for their financial gain my gosh people get sucked into anything ! This is free advice low carb diet and exercise works wonders and I just gave it FREE

Exactly, Kay. I am not knocking Steve’s brand. I simply care about people ….big, damaging mistake for consumers to blindly go on a diet of this kind, simply because it is pushed by a celebrity, as you say. I repeat, I am not targeting Steve….speaking in general, here.
Someone very close to me is a Cardiologist…..Soooo…..

Great advice K. Richard Simmons meant well with his programs. Some do, most dont but the public gets desperate and Hollywood envious!

I agree with you, everyone should consult a doctor and or a nutritionist. “Magic juice or Pills” are ridiculous for sure but maybe he uses and believes in the product. He seems like a good guy who wouldnt sell something he didnt believe in?

Steve should stick to acting instead of his “get rich quick” schemes. I remember a few years ago Steve promoted diet shakes and it went bust then. He was passionate about that. Then it was the berry juice that went bust for him. He was passionate about that too.

This Hollywoodschooling deal with Derk Cheetwood, IMO, is just to help out of work Derk make some money. So he’s helping him. Now it’s time to help out his brother-in-law (who probably needs the money) so make it a family investment.

Steve is promoting diet and nutrition, but promotes his Jack and Jameson restaurant in TN that is loaded with calories if you eat there.

I predict within one year, SB is back on a soap (if they are still out there) working full time to feed his family.

More power to you, Soaper. Well stated!!

I have mixed feelings about this. Burton’s not claiming to be a doctor…he’s not selling anything that isn’t already out there. He’s banking on his celebrity…just like so many other actors from Paul Newman’s sauces to cat food…Suzanne Somers…celebs who endorse others products they probably know nothing about and on and on.

One has to be an informed consumer. Obviously Steve’s in great physical shape, he said he’s going for his nutrition certificate…his wife and brother-in-law have certificates…they all exercise and are role models for those who aspire to get in shape. As long as he’s not touting anything dangerous (and, again, one has to know their own health history, what they can and cannot consume and if need be check with his or her doctor to see if this is right for them) this might just be the thing that gets some people motivated. Some fans are so enamored of celebs that they buy, contribute, support just about anything. And, like others, I resent that. I would never pay to see these soap guys at their events (and the prices they charge are outrageous!!! and some people go over and over and pay huge amounts of money!!! I would also never kick in money to help them kick start one of their projects…LOL…let them kick in some for one of MY projects!!!) To that extent…many people in the entertainment business take advantage of their “star power” and sell their wares.

As for this product, I actually think Steve came off sensibly and realistically. He didn’t promise drastic results or quick results. Along with his products he’s marketing a “support group” of which he’ll partake. If that’s what it takes to motivate some people…if going on this journey with Steve Burton through web messages etc is what it takes, it might just work for some. Of course, it’ll put money in his pocket, let’s not be naive…but it might inspire those who will feel supported by him if he comes across in the personal way he just promoted his company. Time will tell. If you decide to buy his products, do so with your eyes open, your expectations realistic and a realization that you’re paying more to get on this ride with Steve.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
