Tajh Bellow Opens Up About His Future with ‘General Hospital’ and His Daytime Emmy Nomination
In a long-awaited update, Tahj Bellow took to his Instagram this week, and shared with his followers and fans what the future may hold for T.J. Ashford in Port Charles, along with his reaction to receiving a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category for his emotional work in the General Hospital surrogacy storyline.
At the epicenter of that storyline was TJ and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) awaiting the birth of their child that Kristina was carrying to term as their surrogate. Only, their dreams were dashed when Kristina (Kate Mansi) went crashing through the Metro Court window following an argument with Ava Jerome (Maura West). In the aftermath of Kristina losing the baby, TJ and Molly’s relationship hit the skids, and they ultimately called things off.
The last time Bellow appeared on the ABC daytime drama series was back on the December 6, 2024 episode. Since that episode, fans have been wondering if T.J. will be written back onto the canvas, or if Tajh was written off the show.

First, addressing his Emmy-nominated performance in the storyline, Bellow began, “I have been taking my time. Processing the nomination, and I just want to say thank you for all of the congratulatory messages and the outpouring of support for TJ and that heartbreaking storyline.”
He went on to say, “It was a privilege to be afforded the space as a Creole Black man to grieve and hurt and really wrestle and tackle that raw emotion, and then for that to be visible to millions of viewers, I think that is important storytelling. And I hope that it opens doors for more people that look like me and talk like me. I’m excited.”
Finally, addressing if a GH return might be imminent, Tajh shared, “As far as the future of TJ, if he’ll be back and in the capacity of which he’ll be back, I can’t speak to that yet, but I am excited about upcoming projects that are on the way and… more diverse storytelling.”

Jumping into the comments thread were former castmate, Marc Anthony Samuel (ex-Felix) who shared, “More diverse storytelling is where it’s at! Congratulations, bro.”In addition, his TV-mom, Tanisha Harper (Jordan) exclaimed, “I’m so excited for you! Doing big things!”
Coming up, Bellow will be attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles this fall, as he goes for his Master’s in Entertainment Leadership and Management among his upcoming acting projects and more.
With the 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards just two months away on October 17, at least, fans can look forward to hopefully seeing him take to the red carpet, or possibly making it to the podium and receiving a gold statuette.
So, do you think GH might write TJ back into the story down the line? Would you like to see Tajh return? What did you think of his performances that earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

He was fabulous in this storyline and I’d like to see him win!
Wow hard to believe it has been that long since we last saw TJ. Now that Josh Kelly I’d taking a break, I hope we see him back soon. Molly has not cheated on him, so let’s see them back together.
Josh Kelly isn’t taking a break. Molly cheated on TJ with Brando a few years back.
Since Molly and TJ broke up, if she got with Cody or anyone else, it wouldn’t be cheating.
Scroll thru this site… you should easily find the article the Josh Kelly is taking a break from GH. Unless Mr. Fairman got it wrong…
I can see why you thought that.
Kelly went off-contract (or recurring) at GH which he mentioned allows him to do outside projects. He specifically mentioned he is still shooting GH episodes. This status change gives him more control over his schedule.
Except, that’s not what Josh Kelly said. He will still be filming General Hospital while working on his other projects, which he would not have been able to do while on contract. He’s been recurring since the June 20 episode credits, so…. not much has genuinely changed.
Ok ok ok.. I stand corrected.
Maybe with Cody being placed in Ava’s direction, maybe they will bring him back?
He’s damn good, and the writers just had him fade away with nary a mention to explain his absence. Even his own mother doesn’t talk about him. I liked how TJ saw through Kristina from the get go knowing she’d be a train wreck as a surrogate.
Yeah they annoy me when they provide little to no reason for a character’s disappearance. And, like you stated, even the other characters don’t mention them. T.J. and Scottie Baldwin. I wish Tajh and Kin the best. They deserve better.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
